The problem is that they congregate in groups all over the store and don't fan out to help anyone on a Saturday. I spent $70 on a pair of pants, and I had to find the (again, friendly) person to help me who was chatting with two coworkers. Then we get to the fitting room and press the button - no one shows up. Stick one of those employees at the fitting room because you absolutely have the staff to do that. Finally, Melissa roamed by to let us in and tried to sell us their lifetime membership. I go in the fitting room, walk out in the pants and I needed another size. She doesn't ask me how it's going or try to help because she's too busy giving a 10 minute speech to my (annoyed) husband, trying to sell this membership. I finally changed, went to get my own other size, and we paid for two items and left. They won't give you a bag, but they will give you a huge box. Recycling, I'm sure, but a little nonsensical and annoying. At the checkout, the other woman tried again to sell me this membership. She would not stop when I told her four times that I didn't want it. Management: The reason I didn't join is because of the terrible customer service. It annoyed me to spend a small fortune on two pairs of pants and while you are overstaffed (if groups of 2-3 employees are everywhere, give them a task - who is managing the store? Why the obsessive focus on selling a membership and none on serving people in the store?), nobody is actually helping customers.

It's a great way to see the mountains and the countryside and it's just plain fun! Sue took great care of us and when we took a pit stop for some food she hooked us up with fresh batteries. Not sure if a lot of places have them but Scotty Bike helmets have a built in walkie-talkie system so you can chatter on the ride. Lots of fun banter exchanged as we rode. The weather here is crazy so when you get some sun grab a few bikes!

Bikes are comfortable, communication helmets are so cool, battery lasted. One of the funnest things I've done in Tennessee! And we saw bears! I brought my wife's Trek in for somebody to check out the rear brake (it was rubbing). The guy working there spotted the problem; it was a simple spring that had dislodged from her rim brake and he corrected the problem in about 5 seconds - no charge! Then he gave her bike a quick once over and checked the tires. He was pretty darn awesome and knew a lot about Fire Mountain and the trails there. This is a great shop with some nice bikes (I've got my eye on a Specialized!) and the staff can't be beat. I will be back for more gear and hopefully a totally unnecessary third bike!

I told him my rear brake wasn't feeling right. He walked all the way out to my truck with me and walked the bike back inside himself. Then broke it down and replaced my pads and got it back to rideable for me. All of this was at closing and after hours.
