So High Soho is so eclectic. Downstairs they have a costume shop. I spent hours down there trying…read moreon boas and Superwoman outfits. Why aren't costumes daily wardrobe wear? Wouldn't humanity be much more interesting if we dressed up as alter-egos everyday, shielding our true identities from strangers, gallivanting around as heroes or truly heinous villains? I vote for 365 days of Halloween. Anyway, back to the shop. The main floor has an array of really cool randomness. Ashtrays, prints of Marilyn Monroe, games, keychains, tapestries, candles, incense, buttons, mugs; you name it they claim it. When I need to get a gift for someone I come here to buy it. Finding something cool here is guaranteed.

The service that was given to us was amazing. They were so busy as Halloween was the next night.. I picked up one customs an was told 'no no no don't try this Queen of Heart's costume this one is the best and so much more you..' I tried it on and was perfect, they ensure that had everything I need to look the best, a crown, makeup, playing card stockings, heart stickers the works. The costumes are very well price the shop is small and crowded stuff everywhere but the guys and girls that work there are amazing they know where everything is and the have so much passion for making you feel and look the part you want to play at your party.. If only it wasn't so far away they could dress me for all fancy dress parties..

Amazing time browsing through this monster sized toy store. The employees were situated in…read moredifferent toy areas providing demonstrations of new featured toys that they are selling. They try to enhance the interative experience while flying small drones with flashing lights over the heads of unexpecting customers, while others laughed. The escalators to each floor were always busy but you can walk up the four floors as an exhausting option - unfortunately we did this once and never again. This place was like a Toys r Us on steroids. Took pictures with an employee dressed up as a princess. Tons of fun for over an hour with a gelato shop if you get hungry. This should have been a paid attraction - just saying.

There are toys for all ages, and as you can imagine, it's quite overwhelming to shop even for me. it is London's premiere toy store. Established in London in 1760 (yup, that's old!) on Regent Street in the West End, Hamleys is very much like the old-time toy stores where workers demonstrated and displayed various toys to customers as part of the overall shopping experience Hamleys is so much more than 'just a shop'. As soon as you walk into the store, you'll be greeted by seven floors of wonder. Everywhere you look, there are toys out for you to try out and watch. You can catch live demos of the most exciting toys and games. There are also regular in-store events where they get superheroes and cartoon characters to greet the kids. There is everything that you imagine in toys and a little more. You can play, you can participate, you can have fun as if you were still a kid; it's a special and perfect place. Since it's almost always raining in the city, this is the perfect place to spend the day.

Come on, we want at least a bit of class, even when dressed as an animal. This place is so over priced and ridiculous. Who seriously spends £94 AT LEAST to hire a costume. Who cares so much about a fancy dress party. I just don't get. If it wasn't in the name of theatre, I would never have stepped into this place. It smells wierd, you know that wierd musty costume smell, but the store is disguised as some sort of up market place, with about 6 floors of tack, for stupid people who care too much about how they appear to other people. Perfect place to get some angel wings for your god awful hen night. The assistants were quite rude aswell, dealing with me as if I was asking for an animal costume in a bakery. not a costume shop.

Particularly good around Halloween, this place stocks everything from feather boa's to vampire teeth and fake blood. The staff are extremely helpful and don't go for the hard sell but will actually advise you on what goes best with what and truthfully tell you if you look a complete dick in an outfit. One to remember for those awkward party times!

She led me to it, I liked it went up to ask how much and the bald short owner wouldn't tell me a price. He kept asking how much CASH I have....um why would I tell anyone how much cash I have? I told him not much as I just shopped but I can withdraw after u tell me what the price is. He literally told me to pay a down payment come back and he's tell me the actual price. who in the their right mind would do this at a costume shop??? You're not a Rolex store mate. He refused to tell me a price before a down payment first until eventually he told me £20...I told him thank you and I'll go get some funds for him and he said card was okay. When I came back later Sharpie goth girl loudly expressed her displeasure of seeing me even tho customers were in store and literally told me to leave. I took it as a little side jab joke...the owner tho refused to help me and even when I told him I have funds. What kind of store you crooks running?? Bunch of crooks don't shop here.
