Phase I consisted of resurrecting a dilapidated and unsafe driveway and extending a retaining wall for level access from our driveway to the front door (while allowing for a Timber Tech patio installation next month}. Aaron's Father did some work for us several years ago so we contacted Aaron for the job. He was attentive to our needs, and provided a quick and reasonable estimate...so we accepted the quote after assessing a few other questionable estimates from other contractors. We were able to get on his schedule quickly...and the job was completed in four days! Peter and Aaron did most of the work...they, and their support crew, did an incredible job! Our neighbors commented on how good it looks and were so happy with how quickly they worked (so parking was not an issue). We had neighbors, who were out on a walk and saw the BCS sign on our jobsite, tell us about their good experience with BCS. Aaron and Peter were wonderful in handling the potential problem areas of the project, and offered great advice on the best way to resolve the issues. They just completed the project this afternoon, and the finished product way outshines our expectations! The slope improvements (we live on a hill}, and the incorporation of the wall extension to ensure a smooth transition to our front door from the driveway, improved accessibility and obviously increased our property value! Now we can effectively launch into Phase II (Timber Tech Patio), Phase III (Custom Fence} and Phase IV (Front Yard Turf, Garden Wall, Plantings and Paver Borders). Thanks Aaron, Peter, and the Rest of the Crew for making this an easy and optimally functional (and great-looking) project Phase I...

The job included removal of an existing stucco wall and a lot of demo work. Mike and his team worked carefully through the process to protect our home as well as the neighboring property. They exceeded my expectations by carefully considering drainage options, and added drains with underground pipe to effectively move water directly out to the front gutter. I highly recommend working with Omega for your concrete needs. Mike and his team are top notch and did a fantastic job for us.

Michael read the review and reached out with a solution. It was a bit of a compromise - but one that we found acceptable. Michael agreed to power wash the driveway and apply a topical stain that matched the color we were originally expecting. We, in turn, agreed to pay for a sealer - something that would not have been needed if the original concrete had retained its coloring. The resulting driveway is exactly what we wanted. (See the newest picture of the stained and sealed driveway.). The color of the concrete perfectly sets off the bands of pavers. Thanks Michael. .

We set up a date, but when I needed to change it to this year... he was so a-ok with whatever I needed to do. Shaun is kind, knowledgeable, prompt, and flat out knows his stuff! An amazing individual! For the pictures below... I realize these "beach colors" are not for everyone, but I wanted you to see the ragging detail as well as the prepping detail. Just amazing! The last 10 days his crew have been prepping and painting the exterior of our home. When I wasn't happy with one of colors "I" chose... no one bat an eye. They just primed over it and repainted until I was happy. And when I changed from painting to rag painting the walls instead... I was stunned to realized how talented his crew was. They did a better job of ragging than I did some 19 years ago. LOL His crew spent so much time prepping my home for paint. They arrived early and one of them usually left after 6pm when he made sure the cleanup was complete. With the prepping, windows covered in plastic. Nested birdhouses removed a safe distance. Cams safely covered. Etc. They did so much more than even I would have (and I'm pretty picky!) This is just an example of the detailed care Shaun and his amazing crew did for my project: They had taken down one of my cams (and covered 2 others) prior to painting. The main wonderful person had taken photos of literally everything on/around our home, prior to starting my project. Then later yesterday, using those same pictures to guide him in putting things back. And look how he used his picture to aim one of my cams perfectly!! Two other cams got tweaked during covering them. But due to his pictures... he re-adjusted them all perfectly!! And he replaced my porch artwork perfectly! It's these little touches that I didn't realize would be important to me. Yet they touched me so much!! COMPETENT, friendly, helpful, thorough, efficient, TALENTED!!! I LOVE SHAUN AND HIS CREW.

By far THE BEST CONTRACTOR I have ever worked with. I know that Shaun works in Cambria, Cayucos,…read moreMorro Bay, and Los Osos but it turns out he is all over Cayucos. So backing up a bit... I move to Cayucos 3 years ago and my house was newer than most so I thought I was in great shape when it came to home remodeling or repair... and not needing much of it. HA! Turns out, we needed to replace a few doors and windows because last year's storm tested the limits of waterproofing. Ever since I moved to Cayucos I have always seen General Contract O'Shea's signs up, his great exterior work, and his green truck all around at different home remodel sites, bathroom remodel, kitchen remodel, deck remodel, etc... You get the idea, he does a ton of work around town. So we call Shaun and ask him to take a look at the project. He is a very nice person, took time to explain what the process would look like, and then gave us a few contacts where we should go look at doors and windows. Fast forward 8 weeks after the door and window project was almost done we found wood rot... and a lot of it! Shaun and his team found deck dry rot, railing issues, unsafe areas, and found the reason that a lower window was having issues opening and closing (a lot of wood was rotten). While away at work he sent me videos and picture to explain what was going on. We had calls every couple of days to stay on the same about the deck remodel, door and window replacement, and the stucco work that is now being done. His prices is very fair. His crew are some of the nicest and competent people you will meet. Everyone is very polite and trustworthy. My wife and I are really appreciate his work. - We are not yet done with the project so I will post some finish photos but for now I can post some of the demo...

I had noticed some settling happening in one corner of the house near the windows and was concerned that there might be an issue. I also wanted to know if there was anything we could do to strengthen the home in case of earthquake. I sent a message to them on Yelp and received contact back within a day. It was easy to schedule an appointment on the phone. Ryan showed up to do a free evaluation. He took a look at everything in the house, the garage, side yard, and crawlspace. He even let my 7 year old son assist him with some of the process while taking measurements. He explained the settling that we had in the house and had a few recommendations that he said were of no real urgent concern. He told me what to look out for in the future as signs that we might need to take remediation steps. Overall, he came across as extremely honest, detail-oriented, earnest guy. One detail to share that I think illustrates something about Ryan. For context, we are a no shoes in the house family. Over the last 5 years, we've had a decent number of contractors come do work in the house. The no-shoes thing is always something I end up either discussing or (more often than not) temporarily ignoring when people come into the house to work. In this case, Ryan had already noticed the row of shoes by the door and my unshod feet and removed his shoes without a word about it before entering our house. I'm pretty sure that's the first time that's ever happened. That attentiveness alone already put him in the 5 star category!
