I have been a loyal customer with Talbots since my mid-20s starting with my hometown in Charleston, SC on King Street. Some of Talbots merchandise reminds me a little bit between J Jill, Banana Republic and Ann Taylor. For me, it's been casual wear of colorful cardigans, shorts, khakis, tshirts, jeans and capris pants since working at home. I wanted a top to wear for Holiday cheer on Thanksgiving and found the perfect one online. San Jose Blvd is closer to me but they didn't have my size but Ponte Vedra on A1A did, also not too far. Both stores have a great selection of high quality clothing and accessories. The ladies are always incredibly helpful and go the extra mile to help you find what you're looking for. You are greeted as soon as you walk in. Stores are very clean. Staff are all wearing face shields and masks. Dressing room attendant was kind and helpful. Upon checking out, I love how they neatly fold your merchandise in the bag protected with tissue paper like it's a gift. Nice touch! My experience at both locations are always excellent. It is dotted with locally owned shops & boutiques and a few big anchors like Publix and CVS. It starting a redevelopment project in 2013 and I like the idea of where it's trying to go. I've had jewelry repairs done at Village Jeweler. I've eaten breakfast at Elizabeth's. And I've gotten a couple of manicures at Sawgrass Nails. It's got a variety of shops, but it definitely could use some fresh places. I just hope they can refill the shops and give me options to support locally in my own neighborhood rather than having to - goodness forbid - cross the ditch! Even a quick service chain like Panera would be nice for this end of the beach; I'll guess we'll have to wait and see.

Now, don't get me wrong, I'm a huge fan of being left alone versus being swarmed the moment I walk into a store. Great representatives know how to strike that balance perfectly. Unfortunately, that balance was completely missing here. Despite walking through the entire store, nearly every employee remained glued to their phones, with only one person even looking up to acknowledge my presence. It ultimately left me disappointed, not because I expect over-the-top attention, but because I genuinely appreciate a great suit shop and the experience that is supposed to come with it. A quality suit store has always been about more than just expensive jackets on a rack. The experience, professionalism, atmosphere, and attention to detail are just as much a part of what customers are paying for as the suit itself. Unfortunately, it feels like John and Craig has completely lost sight of that at this location. The employees at the time look so troubled in the eyes you can tell they were stressed out and weren't treated well but him. I felt a dark vibe coming from the employees but from what I experienced during that interview with the manager I can tell that's why the employees behave this way. I would not work here. I feel bad for who ever still works for him. His store has a 4.1 rating which isn't deserved and I'm honestly shocked. Only thing great about the store is the merchandise. I also noticed he owns the store so if you have a complaint. He's the one you go to...there's no one above him to complain about what a lot of people are not seeing and it makes sense now why he's getting away with how he treats and speak to people. There are women in that store who are incredibly helpful and pleasant and some who haven't a clue about how to treat a customer with respect. I won't go into details but the store's customer service has gone steadily downhill with the change of the store management and the rapid turnover of personnel over the past year. I am in customer service and have been for many years. If I treated people the way I've been treated today I wouldn't have any business. Please, get it together ladies. If need be, take some training courses or better yet, sit in on some etiquette classes
