My gas dryer broke down last weekend. Turns out the belt snapped and needed to be replaced. They tipped me off to replacing the rollers while I was at it. Parts were in stock and I was back up and drying in no time. They are like that well-known local hardware store but for appliance parts & maintenance, you know, "the place with the helpful hardware folks" and I'll continue to keep them as the ace up my sleeve.

First the Stepher had mentioned that the next available to send out a technician would be next week Tuesday. I told her I would prefer to do a Friday, since it's my only day I can work from home. She first mentioned that would be difficult. Then she said they wouldn't schedule a visit for a Friday. They only send out technicians for stacked units on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. Why not just spit it out that you don't want to service a stacked unit and stop beating around the bush? Ridiculous place. I was willing to put up with their 5 hour window for a day as it was, but forcing me to take a day off for them to come when it's only convenient for them is not good for me. Decided to lot move forward with them, since they don't seem consumer focused much.

While my mother had said she had bought a pre-paid cremation package we could not find anything in her apartment for that. I called Husband after checking Yelp and Shaquita was super helpful with letting me know what I needed to do, cost, and time frame with even just the first call. The next day they were able to get her body from the medical examiner's office after I identified her that morning and then my brother and I met with Kimberly later that afternoon to take care of all the paper work. She told us what they would take care of, broke out the costs for us, and gave us a time frame to expect to be able to pick up my mom's ashes and the death certificates. They called me the next week within the time frame Kimberly had given us that everything was ready for pick-up. The Husband Family staff eased what was a trying and hectic time by the response of their courteous, compassionate, and professional staff.

I had left my freezer drawer open yesterday and upon realized, shut it and put a probe thermometer to watch the temp. It never got back down to 0F and was making an awful noise. I called around 8:30am and they had someone here by 11am. And they come to Detroit which is nice because there are plenty of businesses that won't. They required cash which is fine, luckily I had time to run to the ATM with how quickly the tech showed up! He said there was ice on the fan and the thermostat was probably toast so he cleaned that out and replaced the part and was gone in less than 30 minutes. Freezer dropping temp now very fast. It's a good repair person that is there fast, gets it done quick, for a good price, and though I hope to not need them again, they will be my first call for any future needs.
