We have used several soil products from Specialty Soil. Three years ago our soil was dead! No…read moreworms, just an acre of gray, sandy and rocky despair. Every plant died or was suffering a slow death. Specialty soil came our home and did a soil analysis. The results showed our soil was 76% sand with almost no organic matter. That explained why we didn't have any worms... no organic matter for the worms to eat. We also had a serious mineral imbalance. Early spring Specialty Soils mixed up a custom mix of compost to address our very crappy soil. By the end of summer... we had worms and our newly planted plants were thriving!!! Every spring we add a beautiful layer of specially mixed organic mulch and in the fall we add a layer of well cooked manure. This has been a very successful process for us. Our soil is faithfully amazing! You can have complete faith and trust in the products created at Specialty Soil. It seems foolish waste money experimenting on your own trying to figure out why your soil fertility is off. We came in from CA to stay at a remote hotel in Enumclaw, but near the entrance of Mt Rainier NP. I decided to try and see if there was a florist ANYWHERE nearby to give my wife a bit more of a surprise. B&B came up and the address was Enumclaw, so I gave them a call, because they were "local". The florist I spoke to could not have been more knowledgeable and delightful to talk to. So after a lengthy conversation she asked for my location and paused. I didn't realize that the they were close to 1 hour away from my hotel! After a brief hold, she stated that if it would be ok if they charged an extra fee, since it was so far out of the way for the driver. I happily agreed! So we talked about flower options and that she would take care of it personally. So when we arrived the next day, the bouquet that was waiting for my wife was nothing short of astounding! The smell of the flowers permeated throughout the entire room! So the bouquet made the next 4.5 hour trip to our next NP and continued to bloom for the next 5 days!! We finally had to say goodbye bye to the flowers on the final day, but decided to pass them on to our hotel manager, who was so kind to us during our stay! Ordered 20 Aborvitae trees to use as a screen from neighbors. Delivery was on time. Price was very…read moregood. The quality of the trees are average, at best. Most were wrapped in multiple layers of burlap, meaning they have been dug up multiple times. The dirt around the roots was hard as a rock. One tree most likely won't make it. There is zero guarantee on the trees if u plant them yourself, however, the owner was willing to discount a replacement. Make sure you thoroughly inspect every plant and tree upon delivery and reject the questionable ones. Buyer beware.
