We are a UK couple who decided to get married in Orlando in September 2014, and let me first say…read morefor me, a control freak, making a decision on who was going to take the photos you would have for the rest of your life without actually meeting that photographer was a huge, huge decision and you have to have a lot of trust and I can say without any doubt in my mind that there was no one who could have done a better job at our wedding than Sandra did. From the start she went above and beyond to help us during the process of planning our wedding. Once we booked Sandra we found that the place we wanted to take photos after the ceremony and have our reception was under a lot of construction work which really had an impact on our plans and when we asked Sandra for advice as she knew the area she sent through so much information about alternate places to take photos, gave us loads of information about alternate places for our reception and sent us photos of these places of other weddings she has done there - she was invaluable in helping us make a decision. Sandra helped us out like this a number of times before the big day and kept in regular contact, answered my random questions and concerns and even called me when I was stressing about certain things, which made us feel really comfortable. This above and beyond approach did not end and even on the wedding day when we had a slight logistical issue getting from where we took our photos to meeting our guests for the reception, she drove us in her own car rather than us pay for a taxi - again, something she did not have to do at all, but it's the little things like this that make the difference, she wanted our day to be as easy as possible and did absolutely everything she could to make sure it was stress free. So, onto the actual photos. We had Sandra booked for 5 hours. She arrived at the venue around 30 minutes before her time even started to take photos of the venue before everyone arrived. She loves the natural shots, so photos of us interacting with our guests, laughing, talking etc are stunning. She captured all of the emotion, and we didn't even notice but she got shots of us from every angle imaginable. Even the 'posed' photos with guests which usually I do not like are stunning and look really natural and not forced like other photos I have seen. Another thing about Sandra is that she really puts you at ease, it's not awkward when she asks you to do something which was a concern I always had (English people are really more standoffish and honestly uptight, I am really like that so I worried it was going to be awkward when we were asked to kiss or look at each other lovingly or do something that could put me out of my comfort zone) but nothing was awkward at all, she is a person you can feel really comfortable around and our guests said that too. Before we left for America for the wedding I had been putting shots I wanted on my Pinterest which Sandra looked at and made sure we got the shots we wanted which was a really nice touch. We got a link to our online photos exactly 3 weeks after the wedding just to check we were happy with everything before she put them on disc. Her favourite shots she copied and makes black and white - all of the photos she chose would have been the ones we did too! We also have been sent our disc with our high definition photos, so we will be receiving those soon. We ended up with 1634 photos in total and there is not a single one I dislike, our friends and family love them all too and I honestly cannot find the words to say just how thankful we are that we came across Sandra. Putting your trust in someone is hard to do, but it was clear from the start we made the right choice and our photos are just beautiful. I cannot recommend her enough, and hopefully Sandra will read this, and I just want to thank you so much for everything you have done for us, you are amazing and I wish you all the best in Washington :) Sarah & Steve Mantell

A big thank you to Sandra and her team for the wedding photos! They are brilliant. They captured exactly what we wanted plus more. Their experience and professionalism is truly captured in the photos! Truly such a fantastic job - I would definitely use them again!

My favorite part of the shoot was the indoor shots, especially the one where she asked me to pose with the laptop in my lap while laying down on the couch; it's so unnatural - like what I would do at work if we had a couch in my office She is also very fortunate to live in a neighborhood that photographs so well! I would definitely recommend Rika, especially if you're relatively new to modeling or posing for a camera.

I had never done a photoshoot before, and I had wanted four photoshoots done, each with their own concept and visual aesthetic. I was so impressed by how professional and easy the entire process was. Niharika provided me a safe space to express the wild ideas I had. She was receptive to the creative challenge, and we fed off each other's creative energies. That is how you know you can be yourself on and off the camera with your photographer: they treat you and your ideas with respect, and they are excited to grow with you as you model for them. Niharika provided a clear timeline of the photoshoot process, and met every deadline within it. The timeline consisted of the initial photoshoot consultation, Niharika doing research on the concepts, Niharika working with me to create an initial concept sketch, Niharika executing the actual photoshoots, and delivering the final edits. Again, not only did Niharika walk me through the process, and make me feel comfortable throughout the entire time, but she met every deadline and brought my visions to life through her photography and editing skills. Her customer service skills, her patience, her attention to detail, and her open-mind all provided an environment where I could express my creative self, without any need to worry about my insecurities. My favorite part of the photoshoot was the actual shoot itself, because Niharika allowed me the freedom to experiment with different poses, angles, lighting, and locations to get the perfect shot I was looking for. If I were to recommend Niharika to my best friend, I would say: if you are looking for a photographer who will be able to build a lifetime business-client relationship with, look no further than Niharika. Her experience, talent, determination, ambition, creativity, and professionalism are unmatched.

Despite being slightly apprehensive about being in front of the camera, Andrew made the shoot a lot of fun for us. He dealt with the added challenge of having our dog tag along like a true professional, and he took some great pictures of our pup as well. I greatly appreciated his skill in taking both posed and candid shots in the outdoor setting. I would highly recommend him for his ability to truly capture personalities in people and pets!!

From our initial meeting I was impressed! We had a great, in-depth consultation and she was very flexible with my needs and budget. She was also easy to talk too, and we just clicked! The day of my shoot was AMAZING! Her hair and makeup lady is exceptional, and again, reasonably priced. I brought in WAAAAYY too much lingerie, but while I was getting dolled up she went through it and laid out different outfits with different sets. Her vision was awesome! We worked together to prepare the shoot I envisioned. I sent her some poses I was interested in prior to the shoot via Pinterest, and she had pulled some poses from the internet and her previous work as well. She made it a point to find poses that made me comfortable and that accentuated my body type (tall and athletic build). The shoot was so much fun! She let me use like 6-7 outfits, and spent her entire day with me doing different poses in different lighting and different sets. She was super professional and knowledgeable. Most importantly, she made me feel comfortable in a situation that can be super scary and intimidating. She also asked if there was anything else I wanting, or that we had missed. We recently reviewed my pictures, and they were ALL amazing! She gave me about 100 or so to choose from! Her pricing and options were great! I ordered a medium album, added one extra spread, and incorporated over 40 photos! After talking to some of my other friends that also did budoir shoots, I got the best deal! I definitely LOVE what I paid for. I LOVED working with her and will definitely be contacting her again when it's time for other photos! She is also known for maternity photoshoots and maternity budoir shoots! I HIGHLY recommend her to anyone looking! Her prices aren't the cheapest, but they're definitely not the most expensive either. And her services, care, and attention to detail are definitely worth every penny! Her personality is also very fun and welcoming, which was important to me too. You want to be able to relate and relax with someone when you're doing something this personal! I know my husband will love this!

Grandparents, parents, and grandkids, the gambit of family members descending upon Occoquan, VA at Christmas. Although Jillian was at our wedding I never saw her in action with the kids. Wow! My niece is really camera shy (and like 3 years old), we all make fun of her school photo (not in front of her of course) because she looks about ready to kill the photographer. Needless to say, that photograph isn't one that can be sent to family members, unless it is to give them a chuckle. Jillian was like magic, instantly setting the little one at ease. Jillian even got her to sing 'Let it snow' at one point, Jillian singing along (which of course made Jillian one of the cool big people) although our favorites were of her Dad tossing her into the air in front of a particularly beautiful Christmas window display, fir garland draping the outside. Of course each couple had their own photos, and I with my Dad, my brother-in-law with his mom. Jillian even managed to get my step-mom involved despite a true hatred of her picture being taken, which means now she and my dad have some truly lovely photos of eachother. It was a fantastic day, fun, and as always relaxed because Jillian is the best. And now we have family photos and some wonderful Christmas time memories.

My wife and I searched high and low for a vendor to complement our photographer and capture our May 2007 wedding. We found expensive ones with a lot of unnecessary bells and whistles and then we found John Rose. Our first meeting was in a MD chain restaurant. He reminded me of a car salesman who was learning the ropes. He was nervous and he was just starting his own business. However he brought a mini dvd player and showed us a sample dvd of his past weddings. He offered more affordable packages and a greater sense of photojournalism. My wife and I shopped around and thought that the other vendors did not fit our budget or style. We took a gamble on our man. I enjoyed working with him before, during and after the ceremony and reception. I don't remember saying more than 4 words to him and his team the entire night; he and the equipment were incognito. He also worked well with our photographer (sometimes vendors can "fight" for better shots). Our final product, received within 2.5 months, is a work of art, from the DVD case design to the chapter menus and footage. It's like watching a movie (not just Uncle Bob's raw footage). Although he is located in MD and serves primarily MD, DC and VA, he is willing to travel for a nominal fee. I would be willing to answer questions (PM me) and vouch for him. John Rose will also provide other references of past customers. I definitely recommend him. Thank God we found him. IFHTP 1

Given that his eloquence didn't quite match the expression on his face, I thought I'd take over. Lisa did a boudoir photo shoot with me (the photos were a surprise for my husband's birthday). I wanted to write a review because I asked her not to put the photos up on her blog--though I loved them, I wanted to let the pictures remain private to us. However, my experience was absolutely phenomenal. Lisa worked with me for pricing; not only was she one of the only photographers I looked at who included all the photos taken as part of the deliverables included in the original fee (i.e. I don't have to buy photos from her because I will have digital copies of all of them with reprinting rights), but she also was just fine with doing the shoot at a friend of mine's apartment and having another friend do my make-up. Before the shoot, I expressed my concerns about my own body image and fear of not looking "good enough," and Lisa reassured me that it would truly be a fun experience--and it was! When you look at the photos she took, it's hard to believe that Lisa is so young, that she came to the apartment with only a backpack of supplies, and that she somehow managed to make me look like a model! The shots are so diverse--in some, she captured my actual genuine laugh or smile, while in others she found my inner seductress--but every single one is both classy and sexy. My husband is in awe and wants to "shout from the rooftops how hot my wife is"--and I have even been proudly showing them to close friends (which I never thought I'd do!). I cannot recommend Lisa enough--if you're worried about how you might look or feel during a boudoir shoot, have no fears! As my husband said, "see, this is how I see you every day--finally, someone captured that in a photo as proof."

This comfort continued into our engagement photo session, which we did in Old Town Alexandria. Lisa had fantastic suggestions on where to go and made ordinary scenery and streets come to life and compliment us. On our wedding day, I had no worries or stress related to the photography, I knew with Lisa's talent and eye in combination with her dedication and passion our photos would be beautiful. When I saw the pictures I was stunned, they are absolutely amazing. She was able to capture the entire day perfectly, the photographs were better then I imagined. We have received so many compliments on our wedding photos and about how much fun our guests had with Lisa throughout the day. There are many photographers to choose from in the DMV but the Team here is top-notch. We had a long list of VIPs that needed posed photos and Laura organized and produced beautiful photos of them all. Laura is very kind, professional and goes above and beyond to make sure her clients are well taken care of... even down to providing flexibility in the scheduling the headshot marathon. On our wedding day, I was disappointed beyond words with Laura. I will start with the fact that she LOST more than an hour of photos. This included pictures of my husband going table to table during the reception taking individual pictures with our guests, our cake cutting, and our sparkler exit. How she compensated for losing our wedding photos... Six weeks to the day Laura delivered the photos as stated in the contract. At this time she was forthcoming about the loss of photos and offered an offensively low refund. Which I explained to her that we could not accept this for the following reasons--we spent more time taking pictures with our guests, going table to table, than enjoying the latter part our reception because we had many guests travel from distant places. And we wanted to send those pictures to them with thank you notes. The cake photos, sparklers exit, and group photos outside the venue are disappointing to be lost but all those photos of us and numerous guests at the reception was an irreplaceable loss. Her final offer was to refund 9.89% of our invoiced amount, not good enough. My other huge gripe with her wedding day performance was she had no command or direction over the photos with large parties at all. I would suggest that you would need to have a wedding planner to work with her because she is unable to take charge and work towards achieving the photos you list as the "must-have" shots. Laura excels in outdoor photos with natural light and no need for a flash, which look natural, and candids. On the final photos that were delivered, many of our indoor photos had no consistency in hues, warmth, and brightness. I was washed out in many of the "directed" indoor photos at our church, because of the flash. We brought this to her attention and she was very responsive in being willing to do the edits, but the edits were horrific, thoughtless, unusable changes.
