Katie helped make our wedding magical!…read more We were introduced to Katie from a glowing recommendation from a family friend. Looking over her portfolio and website, we liked her photography style and appreciated the transparency of her packages. We met up with her in person at a café to chat and instantly enjoyed her relaxed personality & could tell she was experienced and professional. As we planned our wedding timeline, Katie was communicative and answered any questions or concerns we had. On the big day, she arrived early and met us eagerly at our specific locations for group photos and for the first look. Katie gave us great direction for posing and made us feel very relaxed taking all the photos! Throughout the day, she was present and actively taking wonderful photos but was not intrusive in any way (I've seen photographers at weddings be attention grabbing). Once we got our wedding photos back, we were blown away about how nice they turned out! We are truly grateful to Katie for so masterfully capturing the best day of our lives. If you're looking for a skilled, easy to work with photographer, we highly recommend Katie! Thank you so much, Katie!

From the initial email, to the phone call to the emails back and forth prior to our photoshoot, Pri was patient, understanding and took in our requests and thoughts as well. On the day of the shoot, which we chose a nice comfortable hotel room, Pri's team did a great job making my wife look really pretty based on our requests. We felt 110% comfortable in taking our photos as Pri has an ability and energy to keep us going for the 3 to 4 hours of the photoshoot The pictures that came out were really good (hard time choosing) and Pri also was generous in the number of photos that she provided for our choosing. Given that his eloquence didn't quite match the expression on his face, I thought I'd take over. Lisa did a boudoir photo shoot with me (the photos were a surprise for my husband's birthday). I wanted to write a review because I asked her not to put the photos up on her blog--though I loved them, I wanted to let the pictures remain private to us. However, my experience was absolutely phenomenal. Lisa worked with me for pricing; not only was she one of the only photographers I looked at who included all the photos taken as part of the deliverables included in the original fee (i.e. I don't have to buy photos from her because I will have digital copies of all of them with reprinting rights), but she also was just fine with doing the shoot at a friend of mine's apartment and having another friend do my make-up. Before the shoot, I expressed my concerns about my own body image and fear of not looking "good enough," and Lisa reassured me that it would truly be a fun experience--and it was! When you look at the photos she took, it's hard to believe that Lisa is so young, that she came to the apartment with only a backpack of supplies, and that she somehow managed to make me look like a model! The shots are so diverse--in some, she captured my actual genuine laugh or smile, while in others she found my inner seductress--but every single one is both classy and sexy. My husband is in awe and wants to "shout from the rooftops how hot my wife is"--and I have even been proudly showing them to close friends (which I never thought I'd do!). I cannot recommend Lisa enough--if you're worried about how you might look or feel during a boudoir shoot, have no fears! As my husband said, "see, this is how I see you every day--finally, someone captured that in a photo as proof."

I was so excited she was available for our Sept 2013 wedding and could not wait to meet her. At our initial meeting, we had a lot of fun getting to know it each other and both my husband and I felt comfortable with her right away. This comfort continued into our engagement photo session, which we did in Old Town Alexandria. Lisa had fantastic suggestions on where to go and made ordinary scenery and streets come to life and compliment us. On our wedding day, I had no worries or stress related to the photography, I knew with Lisa's talent and eye in combination with her dedication and passion our photos would be beautiful. When I saw the pictures I was stunned, they are absolutely amazing. She was able to capture the entire day perfectly, the photographs were better then I imagined. We have received so many compliments on our wedding photos and about how much fun our guests had with Lisa throughout the day. Lisa was an absolute pleasure to work with, she is an incredible artist and amazing person. I feel very blessed that we were able to work with her and get to know her. Do not waste your time in Sweet Pea Studios. I had a bad feeling when I booked since all their…read morereviews were very old (yrs old), I should have listened to my gut. This has been the most difficult business that I have had to deal with during such a difficult time (postpartum and medical conditions). It has been blatantly obvious that she has no good faith effort in doing business with us and to the point its just unethical and unprofessional. I have tried really hard to work with Krystal Culpepper and gone above and beyond because $400 is a lot of money for us and it's just not fair. She is either too busy or doesn't care because she have already been paid 65% of total amount. Krystal has shown zero professionalism, been unreliable and has shown a lack of good faith effort in your business practices. Krystal purposely taking advantage of situation and acting maliciously since she got mostly paid already. Krytal emailed me that we have breached contract for not paying 3 days in advance of session date is ridiculous business sense. She wanted us to blindly pay her when we received zero communications. 1. I booked our May 10 session on March 19th 2024 and heard NOTHING proactive from her since then. No follow up on needs, preferences, types of pictures we wanted, locations, where to meet, confirm time, nothing. Only the automatic payment reminders that have always had the wrong due dates since starting to do business with you in July 2023. a. I had to follow up with Krystal on May 1st to confirm time since I never got final confirmation with accurate time. b. I again, followed up with Krystal on May 9 to confirm, location we should meet, what to bring, etc. No response. c. In all these exchanges, Krystal Culpepper didn't even bother as a business courtesy, to remind payment was due AND be professional and finalize details. Krsytal Culpepper purposely waited until noon the day of our session day to cancel on us. I can go one, before this session, I had inquired about rescheduling session and after telling her that never mind, I will keep my original session because I sensed how difficult it was going to be... Krystal said she would accommodate to my time but ended up limiting 4 out of 7 days and blocking her calendar after I had pulled available dates from her calendar. Mind you, this was a family session that we had to settle because she wouldn't refund us our newborn session deposit. Or, how Krystal texted me the morning of our schedule newborn session date to cancel due to her medical reasons and were later told her return date was unknown but our newborn reservation fee of 50% was non-refundable. We had to mourn the fact that we were not going to be newborn pictures with our last baby as we could not afford to schedule another session despite the fact that SHE cancelled on us and were UNABLE to provide services. Instead, she "offered" us to reschedule our newborn session, how do you reschedule a newborn session when your baby is already three months old? Even though the contract said "newborn session reservation fee." She said she offering to transfer to another type of session ??!?!?! After she breached the contract. She refuses to refund us our "newborn session reservation fee," that she was unable to provide services and zero services have been provided--my baby is now 7.5 months old.
