We passed by this erotic museum while we were in the red light district. And right at the door, they had a female mannequin with her game face in a mini skirt riding a bike that had a dildo attached to a motor moving up and down. OK that looked interesting, let's go in and see what this museum was all about. At the ticket desk, they also sold condoms with interesting and creative graphics and words on the packaging. One says "it isn't going to lick itself" hahaha!
The admission only costs €7 so we decided to give it a shot. There were a total of 4 to 5 floors and I remember we kept going up and there's still more upstairs so it's bigger than it appeared. The museum housed mostly paintings , sculptures and even some private erotic drawings by John Lennon! There were also some erotic photos of Madonna that were really hot! With all the People choices celebrities nowadays, I still think Madonna is the ultimate sex symbol of all-time, hands down. Her attitude, her open-mindedness and of course her nice figure all contributed to that.
The museum did have some BDSM toys for display but not a whole lot, pretty much just the top floor. If that's what you're hoping to look at instead of erotic art, then this might not be the place. We definitely didn't go in with a dirty mind but more like an open mind. It's interesting to see all these erotic art and how artists appreciate and express this natural human instinct through different forms of media. For €7 it's worth it. For more action stuff, there are always live sex venues and licensed hookers in the area!
If every country is like the Netherlands, so uninhibited and liberal, the world will be a more peaceful place, without all these violence and terrorist attacks that basically mean there isn't enough fxxking going around. read more
