I've been using this car wash for over 20 years. The crews have always been great. You get a free superwash if you present 10 superwash receipts. So I saved 10 super wash receipts and tried to claim my free superwash today with 10 receipts. Sorry, the receipts have to be "special" receipts. So I paid for a superwash and the crew that denied the receipts also did not give me the superwash extras. No wheel wash and no windshield or window wash. Guess what. I went today to get my 2nd car wash after purchasing a 3 for $45 on January 20th at 10:51 am. When I purchased this on 1/20/24 I was give my receipt a paper and told to show that the next time I came. Which brings us to today the manager said wheres the booklet, I stated this is what I was given, he took the receipt stated they give you a booklet I stated the above he called his boss in Worcester and then said I had to go to the office in Worcester and take it up with them. So customer service bad, employees not doing the correct procedure on a busy Saturday bad. The wash not happy with it. I called the office in Worcester no answer left a message but. I visited Ernie's Auto Wash for the first time on Saturday, September 2, 2017. Prior to entering the wash the staff on duty used a brush on the back of my red 2013 Rav 4. I immediately drove home and backed my car into my driveway in Auburn, Massachusetts. On Sunday morning, September 3, 2017 in the morning light, I saw definitive scratches in the rear door of my RAV4. I brought it back to Ernie's in Auburn Massachusetts and the gentleman who brushed the back of my RAV4 acknowledged the appearance of scratches and stated that he would speak to the owner and get back to me within one week . I stated that I simply wanted the scratches buffed out, because I wanted the option to be able to trade my RAV4 in for another vehicle in the next few years and I worried that the scratches would take away from the value of the vehicle. It is now Friday, December 29th and I have yet to hear a word from the owner or the staff member that I spoke to regarding the damage. Stay away or expect this type of experience. read more

When I pulled up one of the attendants stopped me from pulling into the tracks to have my car washed by the line. He had me slowly pull up to it and we found that my car was to low to go through. It was nice that the attendant was concerned with the possibility of my vehicle being damaged. He had me back out and I was able to wash my car in one of the self bays. Not a bad experience overall but a little bummed I wasn't able to get the underbody sprayed. I'd say it's worth going to as long as you haven't lowered your vehicle at all. read more

The price for the cheapest is $9 which I guess is not too bad if you don't have the time to wash it yourself. The wash is quick and the guys press washing the vehicle are always thorough in their job. If you have a dirty car Ernie's is the place for you! read more

I've been to this car wash a number of times and have been disappointed every time, from asking for the more expensive wash and getting the bare minimum in the full service bay to washing my vehicle in the self serve bays and finishing my wash around $5 every time and getting charged $18-$20 for reasons I'm not sure about but I'm never going back to that car wash. read more

I sat waiting for the door to open and no one was there. After backing out to leave two guys opened the door and looked at me like I had holes in my head. Not going back. Good help is hard to get. read more

I use the touch free car wash here every once in a while. I have nothing but nice things to say about this place. The staff is friendly, and I always leave with a clean and undamaged car. For those more ambitious then myself, there are four self service bays and a few vacuums read more

Been using Ernie's for awhile now and I am not pleased with the results. I can wash a car better with a sponge and bucket..........sorry but I just spent 15 dollars and went home and recleaned the car. read more

I heard about the incident detailed in the post above and was disheartened (to put it lightly) by what I heard about both the manager's behavior/attitude towards John's wife and the fact that Ernie's did nothing to rectify the situation. It's quite sad, actually. While I've been a longtime customer of Ernie's (the car wash itself is on my ride home) I certainly won't be returning and will suggest that others reconsider their car wash decision as well. read more

Ernie's Car Wash has a well trained, conscientious staff, but the general manager and owner leave a lot to be desired. I drove my wife's car through the car wash, heard a large BOOM during the process, and we talked to the operator afterwards. He acknowledged hearing the sound, and we all looked at the car. We didn't notice any damage at the time. A week later it rained, and we noticed that the rear wiper didn't work and there were broken internal parts in the wiper mechanism. We returned to the car wash, showed the damage, went to the car dealer, and got a repair estimate of $85. Phil, the GM, spent lots of time looking at videos, and Chris, the owner, spent lots of money on video equipment. It's clear to us that Ernie's damaged our car, but it seems that the burden of proof is on the customer. After a meeting with the owner and GM, suggestions that the damage had been done afterwards, and offer of free washes, my wife refused the offer and left in disgust. Why would she risk further damage to the car even though the service was to be free? We recommend going elsewhere. read more
