I hired Malia to take photos of our newly landscaped backyard -- she offered a reasonable estimate for the job so I agreed and set a date. Although she sounded very pleasant and easy to work with over the phone, we ran into problems almost immediately. First, she was over an hour late to our appointment with no warning. I called her multiple times while waiting and received zero response until she finally showed up to my door with no explanation other than 'traffic'. With everything already set up for the photos and no other photographer I could call on that short notice, I had no choice but to let her go ahead and do the shoot (note that it was still for full price, no discount was offered for the huge inconvenience). It was fairly obvious she was rushing the shots because she immediately left for another job after she was done...I guess mine just wasn't important enough for her. It took her nearly twice as long as she promised to me to send the edited photos back, and the results are on par with other photographers I've used that charge considerably less. All in all, quite a disappointing experience. I won't be using her services ever again.

He came down to Portland to shoot my wedding, and only charged a very small fee for this travel. He took pictures till he dropped ( I NEVER saw him take any breaks- all though he was welcome to do so :) ). He provided us with a disc of all the photos taken, one disc of all our favorites he had edited (170+ images), and prints of all the favorites. His price was for all these things, no paying extra for printing fees or to buy your negatives. He also special printed a large square photo for us to put in a special frame we bought ahead of time, and took pictures with this space (square) in mind. PS for a very small fee we paid to have his girlfriend come and take pictures also. The fee was small because he was training her to do this, but we ended up using enough images from her photos to make it worth while.

He met with my husband and I several times before the wedding and was flexible enough to design a special photography package for us. Ron spent 12 hours with us at the wedding. He was very laid back and didn't do a lot of staged shots which was exactly what we wanted. He set up a photo-booth for us which turned out to be great for shots of the many group combinations that our guests and relatives wanted. The photos turned out amazing! We are so happy that they reflect the mood of the day and will be a source of happy memories for years to come.
