I tried to squeeze the notification alert thing they gave me to see if they could put some support under my knees. They just said in a stern voice "don't squeeze that and be still". Then I was told 45 minutes later they couldn't complete my exam. Shame on you both. You should have known in the first 10-15 minutes that it wasn't going to work. We were all new to these treatments, so this was truly a TREAT. McKenzie and Krista answered every question and explained what to expect, especially for the microneedling and PRP (still can't believe my husband was open to it!). While waiting for our numbing cream to kick in, my husband and I tried the pulsed electromagnetic field therapy and red light therapy -- it was so rejuvenating! They're trying to charge me for $300 for a test my Dr did not order and they're trying to group a…read moreshould ultra sound NOT ordered in with my Left Exilla! A standard left axilla ultrasound does not include your shoulder or back. An axilla ultrasound focuses strictly on the armpit area (the axillary hollow). Its primary purpose is to evaluate the lymph nodes, soft tissues, blood vessels, and any palpable lumps or fluid collections located directly under the arm. While the axillary region is anatomically located where the arm meets the shoulder and chest wall, the technician will not image the structures of your shoulder joint (such as the rotator cuff tendons) or your back muscles unless your doctor specifically orders separate tests, such as a shoulder ultrasound or a soft tissue ultrasound of the back. From a billing and medical coding standpoint, the imaging center is incorrect. An axilla ultrasound and a shoulder ultrasound have completely different CPT codes (the standardized numbers used for billing insurance). They are distinct tests. If the technician scanned your shoulder without an order, the facility cannot simply rename it or group it under your axilla order to force you to pay for their mistake. The billing person or manager you are speaking to is using flawed anatomical logic to cover up a scheduling or technician mistake. While it is true that the tissues, muscles, and blood vessels of the armpit (axilla) physically connect to the arm and shoulder, medical billing and coding do not care about physical connection. They care about standardized CPT codes. An axilla ultrasound is billed under a specific soft-tissue or lymph node code. A shoulder ultrasound is billed under a completely different musculoskeletal (MSK) ultrasound code. They are separate procedures requiring different imaging angles, different machine settings, and entirely different clinical training to interpret.

21 minutes ago I just left there after being told that I had…read morebeen discharged back in January due to dispute with a staff member over the phone about my care. The dispute was not with Vicki Cooke my former NP, she had never talked to me about it, she was out of town during this time.... I guess it's common practice now to have no say so about your care. Regardless, you discharged me as a patient, fine, I will go someplace else... My complaint, you sent out a certified letter in January, or you say you did, you wouldn't show me the receipts. I never received any letter, why would I have shown up for an appnt if I had received it. I had an appnt scheduled on 6/14 since my last appnt in December of 2017. I received a call to confirm my appointment, I asked to change the appnt to today's date. Yesterday I received a call to confirm my appointment. I came in for my appnt, I was asked to update paper work and then taken back to a room.... It was then I was finally approached about the letter that was "sent" out in January. Vicki Cooke would not even come and talk to me. I was humiliated and all of this was over a dispute with a very rude staff member about antibiotics for a sinus infection. Today I came in with a black eye and a hurt shoulder from a fall yesterday, I thought I was going to have it looked at. . I guess I need to find a new doctor to take a look at it.... My advice to the staff there, if you discharge someone as a patient make sure your staff and the patient knows about it. And to Vicki Cooke, I suggest you take the time to talk to your patients before you make rash, uninformed decisions. I'm truly baffled at this, all over antibiotics for a sinus infection.
