Today I decided to make sure that me not wearing a mask would not be a problem. Not only they did not provide accommodation to meet my needs, the lady on the phone had an instant change in tone of her voice when I asked her if me not wearing a mask would be a problem. Let me just say this. If your message while on hold says you provide individualized care to *every* patient and that is what sets you apart, then you should do just that. I am not going to go into political debate( and that is what it is precisely, as it is *not* about health, as any good dentist knows what wearing a mask does to your dental health), but making a person feel discriminated before they become a patient is a sure way to lose patients. I know everyone was trying to stay opened last year and was navigating this the best they knew how, but this year dental offices have no excuse with data evidence to require measures that not only anti-scientific, but do more harm, than good. What happened to "do not visit a dentist if you are sick"? It is common sense. What happened to ADA? Will you not allow patients to visit the practice, who *cannot* wear a medical device on their faces? Those are people, too. Looking at all the reviews and based on the fact we were referred to this practice by a family friend, this practice clearly provides a good quality care. However, policy it implemented is not inclusive despite their claims of caring about every single patient. My advice is, provide accommodations to patients, who for whatever personal or medical reason, do not want or cannot wear a medical devise on their faces. I wish you all the best. When I moved down to Columbus, one of my first orders of business was find a new dentist. So imagine my surprise that many dentists in Columbus still have film x-rays, or look 'basic' in their office equipment? But after a lot of researching, I stumbled upon Camelot Dental Group. Here is my point-by-point review of Camelot: -OFFICE: The office is now located in the Arlington Fall office park at Henderson Road and Riverside Drive. The office is nicely decorated and you can tell they really try to attract patients from Upper Arlington and Dublin. Exam rooms are private and each is equipped with massaging exam chairs, televisions, and the normal stuff you'd see in a dentist office. Are you at a dentist or a spa? -STAFF: The reception and office staff is always friendly and ready to welcome you. Staff will confirm your appointment via text message, email, and a phone call so you'll never forget your appointment. Whenever possible, they try to schedule you with the same hygienist. They'll get to you know, your issues, and your habits. When I come here, I don't feel like they are reading my information from my chart, but they truly remember who I am. Luckily, I have never needed to meet with Dr. King outside of my cleanings, but he has good 'chairside' manner, if friendly, and takes his time with patients. -EQUIPMENT: Camelot Dental appears to have invested in lots of technology to keep their patients comfortable. They also use a piece of equipment similar to a medical-grade 'WaterPik' for a majority of cleanings, minimizing that annoying scrapping/scaling thing done at most other dentists. They have in-room x-rays that are completely digital! As I mentioned before, they have massage chairs, televisions, and headphones available for patients. -INSURANCE: As of the time of this writing, Camelot accepts Delta Dental and Aetna. I'm not sure what else they accept, so it may be helpful to call. All-in-all, I am completely happy with Camelot Dental, Mike (my hygienist), and Dr. King. I feel comfortable going to Camelot Dental, and am very always trying to refer coworkers and friends to their offices for their needs. You will not be disappointed!

Guys, I'm someone that hates going to the dentist. I'm stubborn. But the great care they provided for me has made me a lot more comfortable than I ever imagined I would be. Dr. Sam and his staff are the BEST!…read more I have a huge fear of the dentist, and I was overwhelmed at the idea of searching for a new one when I started to notice some tooth pain from a previous injury. A friend (who also fears the dentist) referred me to Dr. Sam and I am so thankful. I learned very quickly through this dental experience that the staff really makes all the difference. After my first visit with Dr. Sam I was referred out to a specialist for my actual root canal, and while the doctor there was good, his staff had left me in tears on more than one occasion. Dr. Sam and his staff came to my rescue even then, to get me in immediately, answer my questions, and just confirm that what I was experiencing was normal. Every single person I've interacted with through his office went out of their way to make me feel comfortable and heard. Dr. Sam also has this incredible calming presence, and he really takes his time to help you understand what he's explaining, draws pictures, and answers any and all questions. I really admired how he always remembered details about me and my life and always enjoyed making conversation with him. Years ago, I chipped my two front teeth after falling on my face and Dr. Khan worked with a specialist to restore my teeth through a root canal treatment and gave me crowns to replace the teeth I had chipped. Dr. Khan allowed me the opportunity to shadow him over the summer and I could see how much he truly cared for each of his patients and how he was able to complete so many different types of procedures! Here's the bottom line. Most people accept the fact that the dentist is a necessary evil. Because…read morewe want to secure oral health, we will have to endure painful interventions. For me, the dentist had become a place of panic. I had bad experiences with dentists who were dismissive of my concerns and impatient with my anxiety. Over the past 20 years, as a patient of Dr. Miely, all of that changed. I actually look forward to going to the dentist, because I know that Dr. Miely and his staff are invested in my comfort and my health. I have never, ever left the office without feeling like I had just spent time with friends When I made the decision to (again) get braces, Dr. Miely celebrated every step of the process with me. After one of my two jaw surgeries, he called me personally to make sure I was doing well with recovery and, as has become common, to tell me, "If you need anything, let me know." In a world where doctors seem to be chasing schedules--or have to look at charts to remind themselves why their patients are there--it is a gift to be known and valued by someone who champions my well-being. At the end of my orthodontic procedure, Dr. Miely and I discussed veneers. After seeing the first 'mock-up' of the teeth, he invited me to offer feedback, which he used to revise the plan. It was clear that the process wasn't 'routine' but that he validated my voice (as I'm sure he does with others) in the process. After the preparation for the veneers, I took a photo of the temps which I shared with my cousin (a retired dental hygienist). Her response: "That guy is a genius. If that's what the temps look like, he is an artist." The final look (see the photo, as well as the 'before' photo) reflects my finally having the teeth I've always wished to have. I never worry about my teeth--and I never worry about going to the dentist--because I know that both of these concerns have been answered by the fact that I am a patient of someone I consistently refer to as "the best dentist."
