It is a public course. The clubhouse looks more like a lodge. Has a pro shop, small restaurant and covered, outdoor deck that is a good 19th hole. Nothing else you could ask for. Tee it up and have fun!

The pin placements were brutal, they were placed on the edges of greens and the greens were about a third the size of a regular green. Sorry give it a pass, you'll just get frustrated and lose too many balls when hitting good shots.

There were not very many houses around the course either. Since that time I played the Academy 9-hole course a number of times. I liked the Academy because it was very challenging for a short course. If you miss the fairway, there was a very high chance that you would lose your ball in the rough and/or fescue. The fescue is baaaaad. Don't even bother trying to hit out of it. I finally decided to try out the 18-hole course after years of procrastinating. I played on a Sunday afternoon at 3:01 pm (twilight starts at 3 pm, and super twilight at 5:30 pm). For $65 you get a cart for your 18 holes. I highly recommend getting a cart. There are a lot of hills and you won't enjoy your round if you had to carry your bag. Both the 9- and 18-hole courses are very well maintained. There are some tough spots (we played after it rained) and the bunkers can be brutal. We took free drops instead of playing out of the bunkers, especially after rain. Also a couple of the holes had very strange layouts. There were two greens that were absolutely hidden and nearly impossible to aim for unless you had played it before. Thankfully all the carts are fitted with GPS devices so you know how far you are from the green. The staff and marshalls were all very polite and kind. We had a slow group but the marshall tried her best to keep everyone moving. Their service really stood out to me. I would definitely play Braeben again. For $65 and the convenience of the course's location, I think it's a great value. You might have a tough time if you're a beginner because of the fescue and tight fairways, but there are some easy par 3s and straight 4s to keep you going.

As noobs, we didn't really know what we were doing, but the staff were friendly and the place has an overall welcoming feeling regardless of your level (though it was slightly intimidating to see the more pro golfers going at it) If you're looking for a fancy-shmancy club, then this probably isn't the place you're looking for. However, if you're looking for a chill, no frills place to hit a few balls and/or spend some time with friends/family, then this may just be your jam ;)

It's located in an industrial area. Easy to find, and lots of parking! Upon arriving i was greeted by an elderly gentleman....I'm assuming he's the owner. He was very kind and helpful and even distracted my kids so I could quickly shop for my hubby. He really is sweet! The customer service is outstanding! The prices are awesome! The selection is not that amazing however I found what I needed. I'll definitely be coming back here with my husband so he can check out their clubs and accessories.

This conservation is roughly $7 at admission, but free for a vehicle full if you have the annual pass. The hiking trail features trees and trekked paths near the water over the glacial deposits. You can even walk by the water. The access for boat is very easy to get to, there is a parking lot nearby. The boating looks fun as there are mini lagoon like areas and even caves to explore, reminds me of a lagoon theme park. By the way for the non hikers there is a putting green at the entrance, price is for adult and child but there are leaves and debris and it's full sun. Definitely worth checking out. The GRCA charges for admission because it is not funded by tax payers.

There are a couple of bigger courses here that my partner has played on and he said it was great. He would give the club 5 stars based on the bigger courses and facilities, but I'll give it 4 since I've only tried the academy course and it was just okay. The facilities are nice. For members, you can use the driving range and push carts for "free" well included in your membership rate. There's a locker room where you can take a shower, use their towels and get a stretch on and chill before your game. They also have a nice bistro with a lovely covered deck and live music on most Saturdays. Definitely wouldn't mind dining here if I'm in the area next time. I believe the bistro is for members only, but it looks like there is a non-member rate too.

All in all, the course was very fun and in great shape but the man in the pro shop definitely had the attention of our group for the rest of the day and we felt he could've handled the situation much better than he did.
