The body shop in New York paid Ron to do the repair because they knew that their work was not acceptable. He was able to do this due to his expertise and attention to detail. The professional attitude and ability to immediately point out how wrong the first repair was proved to me that I had to just give it to Ron and he would take care of it. I was too anxious that it was going to be so complicated like most mechanic visits and that they might overcharge me with BS services. When I got there, I met Brad who was very nice. With a quick look he easily determined that that my car might be a total loss. I was so convinced I just had a broken bumper! He explained what a total loss was and what my options were. He even talked to my insurance company for me. I usually try to figure things out in time but I didn't even have to do anything thIs time. He made sure I got offered rental services, which I turned down initially so he offered me a ride to work. The lady who drove me was very nice, too. I left my car at their shop until I had the chance to collect my stuff and they let me drop off my rental at their shop too, all for FREE! Of course my insurance company paid for car storage but there was nothing to inconvenience me. My transition to my new car was waaaaaaay smoother than my previous car purchase all because of the help from Brad and his crew. Finally, John, another employee there gave me a ride home when I left my rental and collected my stuff. I asked Brad if he was sure I didn't need to pay for anything at all as I'm always skeptical. Paul communicated with my insurance company the whole time and I was never concerned with that aspect of the process. Additionally, he promptly sent me an estimate of the parts and time needed for the repairs. Unfortunately the parts for my foreign car were slow to be delivered, but they were quick to repair the damage (in the timeline given during the estimate) and when a needed part hadn't been noticed in the repair process, they had it overnighted and offered a rental car. Lastly, my car was spotless when I picked it up. So while the process was long and had a hiccup, this place deserves 4 stars for their customer service.

I was lied to; this practice is just wrong, and CARSTAR wasted my time - all over a minor repair job. You've earned a 1 star review; I hope losing a customer was worth it.

I have had body work done on several cars here over the last few years, and had nothing but great service and fantastic results at a very reasonable price! Most recently, I had a couple spots repaired (a fender scraped against the garage door, and a dented/scratched passenger side door) on my beloved "Blue Magnetism"-colored Prius Prime. I was really worried that the paint could not be matched well, since it is kind of an unusual color. But American Auto Body knocked it out of the park! They even washed and buffed the whole car, so it was super clean and sparkly when I picked it up. It looks absolutely perfect. Couldn't be happier! They apparently didn't notice this when they had it for a month and drove it around their lot but tried to blame us for driving it without oil after the accident. They never communicated with us and would never let us talk to a manager or the owner. We were only allowed to talk to one estimator who was never in the office. They ended up billing our insurance company the same amount we had paid for the car and voided our warranty.

She did an excellent job communicating with me throughout the process and her projected timeline to completion was pretty much right on. The work done on my car (removing the glass and replacing the widow) was done excellently. In addition, Precision Auto Body also lubricated a door latch that was not opening and vacuumed my dogs' hair off the front seat at no extra charge. Everyone at this location was very friendly.
