SCARIEST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE. My boyfriend and I decided to take a 7 day adventure through Oregon and Nevada this winter. (We live in Monterey Ca.) On our way back home we were on our final adventure stop, Mt Shasta. Driving for about 4hrs now I was starting to fall asleep and feel sick. (Around 4am) Then I see there's Valero in this small town and decided to pull over so that I can switch with my boyfriend. Upon pulling in I immediately take my seatbelt off and recline my seat. My boyfriend in the back seat was letting me know he was going to use the restroom and get some snacks as I was falling asleep. I'd say we were there no more than 3min and this HUGE SCARY GUY comes out of the building yelling and banging at my door. Stupid me I crack the door.. and he tried pulling it open and kept repeating over and over "get out!!" You can't sleep here!! You need to go!! You can't sleep here!" I was so scared! I yelled back and said "we're not sleeping here! What is wrong with you?! Get your hands off my door!!! Don't touch my car!!!" I made eye contact and pulled the door shut, he ran off into the store and got on the phone like was gonna do something with that call. I immediately break down and start crying. I was tired, I needed to use the bathroom and now felt sick to my stomach. Maybe he didn't see my boyfriend in the back and that's why he thought he could act a fool and take advantage of me? Or maybe has some mental health issues? Maybe he was on drugs?? But anyways my boyfriend goes in they exchange words, uses the restroom, we switch drivers and drive away to beautiful Mt Shasta. The end. Fuc* you, you tall scary *uck. Summary: STAY AWAY AND GO ANYWHERE ELSE. Better off running out of gas somewhere close and calling the cops to come bring you a gallon so that you can make it to the next gas station. read more

The old lady with the short hair who works here was so rude. We were greeted immediately with dirty looks and glares and she proceeded to talk rudely about us to another patron. All we did was pull into the gas station. She was sweeping on the other side of where we pulled in. No cones blocking the tank we were going to access. She was a cranky negative human whom I wish I didn't have the unfortunate occasion of encountering. We didn't get gas here and we don't recommend. There's a gas station right next to them. You're way better off going there and not being harassed. read more

I have lived in weed for 10+ years now. Never in my life have i been disrespected in such a manner. I purchased a soup earlier in the evening from this very gas station... I was running behind schedule and didnt get a chance to cook it. So I got gas and left... On my way back through town I stopped at the same Valero to get some hot water for my soup. As soon as I pulled in the p.o.s not working lazy @$$ walks to the door and locks me out... He did have the courtesy of scribbling a handwritten sign that stated he was going to be in the restroom for quite some time.... So I waited... And 15 min later he comes and unlocks the door. I walk in and grab water for my soup and this is when the big dumb toddler rears his ugly head. As I am getting my water he Snidely says in an aggressive manner sure have some free water !.. to which I reply to him, " why are you being so rude I have done nothing to you to be treated this way". His reply ," water is for paying customers only ". To which I replied I am a paying customer and I was about to purchase more stuff until you got rude and started popping your mouth off to me ." More crosswords were shared between us and then he 86 me . About 15 minutes later I made a phone call to the store informing him that it is California state law that says that all Californians have a right to clean water at any fueling facility in the state. To which he did a mocking laugh and replied yeah what the f*** are you going to do about it . I'm appalled to see all of the comments below from all of the bad experiences from all of the people that keep this business alive . I understand being short staffed but when it comes to business reputation it is better to have a store closed for half the day then being ran into the ground by such a s***** employee . All of the interactions I've ever had with this man are negative. I've never seen him work or do anything outside of sitting on his laptop watching movies the entire time he is behind the counter. He is the epitome of chauvinistic bully type children who never grew up . I will be relaying this information to his manager . I hope she steps up and does something . Dave I hope you rot in hell.
