For several years, I had been feeling stuck in my personal life and professional life. Everything was "fine", but I knew I was missing something. I knew I had a voice inside me that I wasn't bringing to the table in my work and in my life. I had been cycling in and out of depression and decided I needed help. Calling Katie was the best thing I could have done. Katie is an artist herself and truly understands this work from experience as well as study. She was so inquestitive and listened so carefully to what I told her (and more importantly, what I didn't say). Several times in our sessions I was moved to tears by revelation. Having these revelations was so easy with such a supportive and gentle guide. Katie is full of a dynamic vibrant vilatity and its contagious. The exercises and homework we did every week I still practice today with joy and relish. After working with Katie, I am making my art in a whole new way. I feel like I've turned a corner and will never go back. Before even finishing the course, a number of creative opportunities fell into my lap that, before working with Katie, I could have only dreamed of. I feel empowered. I feel strong. I feel so grateful for Katie Haverly. If you have a feeling you should call her.. CALL HER. NOW. You won't regret it.

And I want all my creative friends to work with her! There are so many reasons I love working with Katie (and will continue to do so after my scholarship ends). After some huge life transitions, she helped me re-discover and begin work toward my goals emotionally, financially, in relationships, and in my creative work. Every session with Katie was slightly life-changing, and even though that sounds like a bold statement, it's absolutely true. She has a way of guiding me to figure out what the best goal for the week, month, or year is - of helping me discover it for myself. And she does this through active exercises with her one-on- one, envisioning, recommended reading, and ongoing daily work I do on my own. The work with Katie feels totally practical and yet it's helping me think and work in brand new ways.

I've spent years of my life in therapy; I've taken pills, been to psychologists, psychiatrists, counsellors and shamanic healers; none of them have helped me as truly and completely as Britta has. I had never seen a therapist, and I didn't believe it could make that big of a difference. We hit it off immediately. I felt so comfortable with her and I relaxed into our sessions quite quickly- actually to the point of really looking forward to and being excited about going to see her. She is an incredibly kind, understanding, warm person with so much to offer. I could definitely tell that she was customizing my sessions based on my needs and she was so flexible in terms of catering to what she thought would help me the most. Our time together really just felt like conversations, and she has a way of saying things that makes therapy seem so relaxing and safe. Her style makes ideas click in my head, and her use of visualizations and metaphors worked so well for me. During every single one of our sessions, I felt like she was just helping me learn to help myself. I never felt like I was the "client" and she was the "therapist", but she was just a regular person who was on my side and had my very best interests in mind. She helped me see how truly valuable therapy can be, and now I think that everyone should try it at some point in their lives- no matter what they are going through or what stage of life they are in. The skills she's given me have already helped me more than I ever imagined they could, and they will continue to help me and allow me to grow for the rest of my life. I couldn't have asked for a better experience, and I plan to keep in touch with her for years to come. -AB
