This is the most I've ever paid for a weave not worth the $375. I have so much to say about this establishment but do not have the time to write such a lengthy post. My ONLY advice is stay clear from this business. Revision: guess who has time today? I initially picked this business because I loved the curls she posted on IG. I have a weaver but she does not style. So I thought let's try something new (HUGE Mistake). I arrived at the salon, everyone was sweet. Then finally got in the chair. Had I followed my instinct I could have avoided this situation. I'm an ageist. I do not like older people doing my hair anyway her mom washed my hair, blow, then braid down. First mistake I disparately need a hair cut my ends were DEAD. She braid dead hair instead of promoting healthy hair growth. As she started the braid down I say the misty but instead of saying something I trusted the process (another mistake). I am the queen of traditional weave. The braid down is the most important. When she started the install I noticed that she didn't cut the weft, no biggie in the back but should be done in the front so that in install can lay flat. I fell asleep for most of the install & by the time she completed & they came with their camera. I knew that I would be displeased. Yet I said nothing. Mistakes that I should have addressed: she didn't leave enough hair out to cover the tracks. The double of the hair in front kept me from putting my hair behind my ears. No one knows how good or bad an install is until they are home or when you walk up in the morning. The videos below are from the morning less than 12 hrs from the install. It was a holiday weekend & the salon would be closed until the following Tuesday. I had to go to a Dominican salon in Harlem to have the install removed, get a hair cut & worn a bob until I could to my orginal weaver. When I called the salon midweek. I sent them video I had made. Nami eventually called me back & took no accountability. Because I took the hair out. She claimed she could have fixed the top. But BS the braid down was the issue. Also I am a social woman to walk around with a weave than looks like a bad wig... is not an option. Her resolution: to GIVE ME 20% off my NEXT install. As IF! So I called Amex because I paid have cash have credit. She's lucky I don't take her to small claims court, cause I'm petty like that. Stay clear of the business if you're black trying to get a weave. She's too expensive & not work the headache. Instead I recommend nynystyle you can find her on IG. She is one of the best weavers in Brooklyn. Cheating on nynystyle cause all this drama. Never again.

They hold on to the payment and make it impossible to reshedule the service. I called and texted for months to try and reschedule an appointment as they held on to my payment. They simply stopped responding. If you are apprehensive about their ridiculous appointment hold fee, DON'T DO IT. This business is a scam and should do better about how they go about serving customers. Edit: The chargeback was happening before I heard back from you. Either way, there is currently NO CHARGEBACK / DISPUTE and I have reached out repeatedly to try and schedule and no one has responded for nearly 2 months. So your response means nothing. Even now, tell me WHEN I CAN COME IN FOR A SERVICE THAT I HAVE ALREADY PAID FOR. Respond with that or don't bother responding.

This was my first time coming to the salon, and I will definitely be returning -- no complaints at all. I came in needing color correction, and Brandi took her time to do it right. It ended up being about five hours with two rounds of processing, but I never felt rushed or overlooked. She was very attentive throughout and made sure my hair stayed healthy, using a lot of conditioner and including a protein treatment, which I really appreciated. Brandi also has a lot of personality -- she's fun, welcoming, and keeps the energy up, but at the same time she's very efficient and quick with her work. You can tell she really knows and loves what she's doing. Instead of going straight in with heat, she set my hair on rollers and had me sit under the dryer, which gave me a smooth, beautiful finish without unnecessary damage. My hair came out looking amazing -- the color is exactly what I wanted, and it feels just as good as it looks. The total came out to around $200 (and i tipped extra), which felt fair and to be expected given the time, care, and multiple processes involved. I couldn't be more pleased with the results and highly recommend Brandi to anyone looking for great color and care.

I came here in August to get my first keratin treatment. I have incredibly curly thick hair and was just so tired of fighting with it. I wanted to try something to smooth it out and had done some research on keratin treatments. The first time I got the treatment here, I really liked it. My hair was really smooth and so easy to style. It didn't revert back to a wearable curl pattern but I was ok with that as I wanted to wear it straight. At around 3 months, I started losing more and more hair to breakage which made me question if it was time to return for a re-do or my hair was damaged and I needed to take a break. I returned to the salon, explained what was happening to the stylist and she examined my hair and told me it's just time for another treatment. She then applied the product to my hair from root to the tip of my hair and sealed it etc. I waited 4 days to wash the treatment out which was her guidance. When I did, pieces of my hair coated my entire shower. Literally handfuls of my hair were breaking off. If I just look at my hair, it breaks. I'm shocked I even have hair left on my head after how much hair I've lost. When I went to get my haircut, the stylist was shocked. She said I just have to cut everything off over the next few months until my new growth comes back. I can't wear my hair out until the fall so I have to keep it braided down for the next 6 months. I cried so hard while she cut away everything I had. I used to have the most beautiful hair and now literally all of it is gone. My new stylist actually thinks the woman who did my keratin used a relaxer and double processed but either way, she said it's the most damage she's seen in years. I just feel so betrayed and violated by this whole experience. I just have no idea why someone would do something like this. I'm truly devastated.

Today I had the displeasure of experiencing a very rude & belligerent customer while getting my hair done. A woman (who's race I will not mention) came in the salon and complained from the moment she walked in. I chalked It up to her having a bad day. She made very rude and distasteful comments towards her stylist and the stylist remained professional. She was then given a new stylist and complained about the stylist not knowing how to do "straight Japanese hair because this is not a Japanese salon". She then began to made very insensitive comments about African Americans and black owned businesses. As an African American I was highly offended and mortified that someone would behave in this manner. Although she behaved the way she did, the stylists and owner remained very professional and did not stoop down to her level. When It came time to pay for the service she received she complained about the price (that she was quoted online when she made the appointment and in person when she walked in). She then refused to pay for the service she received which led to the owner to threaten to call the police. The woman became very belligerent as she was asked to leave and shouted many racist slurs on her way out of the door as myself and other salon customers were in shock. Safe to say after taking a brief breather, the owner finished my hair and SLAYED as she always does. I commend her for remaining cool and collected in a very negative situation. Walked into a gloriously warm salon and the hairdresser of my dreams. I got a wash, condition, blow, cut and flat iron and was out in less than 2 hours, most of that time is because my sister and I got so deep into conversation with Daryle that there were long pauses for us to clutch out pearls and drop to our knees and catch our breaths! Daryle is a true professional who knows his craft well. He is warm and personable and knows how to listen to his clients needs. I went with my brother in-law since he needed his hair twisted the lady that was going to do his hair had a really horrible attitude that led my brother in-law to leave to another salon .
