I needed four wisdom teeth removed in a hospital setting due to other complex and rare medical conditions I have. For the past year, I went to six other oral surgeons explaining the care I need and each of them couldn't accommodate my needs for a variety of reasons. After advocating for myself and my wisdom teeth getting progressively worse, I found Dr. Peter Protzel & his staff, who were able to do my surgery in the hospital setting I needed. His incredible staff worked with my insurance company to get the surgery approved through my health insurance. It's been a little over 1 week post op and I'm back to my regular self, no more swelling, and the recovery was much better than I expected. Dr. Protzel in my eyes, was the only oral surgeon that actually was able to have empathy for my complex situation and I'm thankful for him and his staff's dedication to my health. I needed extractions, complex bone grafts and implants to fix the damage from failed root canals done by another doctor. Pricing is clear and upfront with no shenanigans as I've experienced elsewhere, and all follow-up visits are included. Extremely Disappointing Experience and Unprofessional Practices…read more I am deeply frustrated with my experience at Passes Dental Care and would strongly advise others to look elsewhere. First, they opened my tooth knowing full well that I was going on vacation in less than a week. They knew there was a high probability I would need a root canal, yet after opening my tooth, they admitted they didn't have the ability to perform it and referred me out. I was forced to pay hundreds of out of pocket for a CT scan and an emergency pulpotomy, and now I am left with a temporary filling and forced to urgently find a specialist before my trip--a stressful situation that could have been handled much better. Second, they forced me to take and pay for a new CT scan, completely ignoring the fact that I had already provided a clear, up-to-date CT scan from another provider taken just two months ago. Third, their billing practices felt very deceptive. I was initially promised a very decent credit for a routine cleaning since I reached my insurance maximum. However, after the cleaning was completed, they went back on their word and demanded almost full payment. When I tried to speak up and address this, they turned around and increased the bill to around $250. I have been a loyal patient with this practice for years, and they have earned thousands of dollars from me over time. Yet despite this history, they completely refused to offer any fee adjustments or credits for their oversight, leaving me to spend thousands more out of pocket at a specialist. Poor communication, unfair billing, and terrible scheduling management. Save yourself the headache and go to a practice that respects your loyalty, health, and money.

Dr Rash Patel listened to my problem and was able to help me. He offered multiple solutions to assist me in being able to fix the problem. He also assisted in whitening my teeth and straightening them. I knew it would be multiple visits to get my teeth straightened, but he was very professional and deterred me from any fears I had.
