Moreover, the level of post-operative care provided was minimal and inadequate. I received neither medication nor detailed instructions for wound care. Follow-up appointments were scarce, with only three consultations over the three-month period. This lack of professional guidance compelled me to seek information on wound management independently, including purchasing necessary medical supplies for self-care.
Regrettably, the surgery did not yield the desired outcome. The wound became infected, and the wart not only persisted but also spread to both of my feet. This complication necessitated further surgical interventions by another medical professional.
Upon consulting with various healthcare experts, there is a consensus that leaving a surgical wound of such nature open is highly inappropriate. A competent and trained surgeon is expected to suture an incision they have made. The post-operative care I received is unanimously considered as falling significantly short of professional responsibilities. It is my belief that financial motivations may have influenced the decision to undertake a procedure for which the surgeon was not adequately prepared.
