Dr. Drew decided that my son would need to undergo the procedure under general anesthesia, and an anesthesiologist would be brought in. We returned for a second appointment, during which they were able to perform the exam. We do need to follow up with an oral surgeon, which I expected, as I heard the same information from his previous dentist. Additionally, my cousin is a pediatric dentist and knows Dr. Drew, as she works in Highland Park. I am planning to switch my general dentist to Dr. Drew.

He's up front with the work that you need done and when he thinks you should get it done. His appointments start on time, and he doesn't overbook himself. His staff is very friendly. He is reasonably priced. This is the first dentist that I have actually gone to willingly and regularly. I schedule my cleanings and keep the appointments. I know that doesn't sound like a huge deal, but to someone like me who has been afraid of the dentist her whole life, it's a BIG DEAL! At first, they said it was impossible, but eventually, they agreed to add it retroactively. Today, I received a bill from the insurance company for that medication. Instead of $99, after negotiation, I only have to pay $14. Can you imagine the difference? Yet, I had already paid the full amount and still haven't received a refund. They were gentle, thorough, and kind throughout the entire process and have continued to be at each subsequent cleaning. Dr. Chad also removed my wisdom teeth and it was honestly so easy (for me). So, similar to "Jay B's" utterly genuine July 4 Yelp review (okay, right, "interesting" in a Tilly-Norwood-is-too sort of way), for ages, this practice made me feel like I had to live for years with pain and fear, never believing I could eat Barnaby's excellent tavern style pizza again...without making a huge mess. A couple of days later I developed an even worse toothache on a different tooth. The doctor agreed to see me. He made some recommendations, but then told me he wouldn't be able to see me for a month despite my being in pain. Pain is always grounds for an immediate visit. Whatever the reason for not seeing me again, the lack of attention to pain was unethical and bad medicine, especially after to agreeing to see me a second time.
