Dr. Hartlieb saw me and told me he had another idea. He did a comprehensive consultation where he gave me a full plan, came up with powerpoints to show my bite now and what it could look like after full composite bonding. I felt so comfortable with his competency and plan going into it. The actual process of getting the bonding with Dr. Lemieux was painless. He was kind, often checked in on how I was doing, and his assistant was also fantastic. They were patient, explained everything. He did a fantastic job. He built my teeth with composite bonding from scratch and they truly look incredible. I have so many people complimenting them, but also noting how natural they look. I have truly never been happier, smiling more, or more confident. Could not recommend this team enough.

But now they are saying I have to come back again for an assessment and x rays(more $$$$$) and then they can finally schedule the cleaning after that visit. Except they're booked through July currently. So here we go again. Expensive but good place for cosmetics. Horrible place for regular care. Youre better off developing a relationship with a more traditional dentist practice that can actually see its clients.

Each step was explained thoroughly, with plenty of time for questions. Dr DeGroot followed up with me after each procedure, and made sure I was healing with no complications. A couple of days later I developed an even worse toothache on a different tooth. The doctor agreed to see me. He made some recommendations, but then told me he wouldn't be able to see me for a month despite my being in pain. Pain is always grounds for an immediate visit. Whatever the reason for not seeing me again, the lack of attention to pain was unethical and bad medicine, especially after to agreeing to see me a second time.

While Dr. Gilmor appears to be competent, he is slick and when you visit him, he will tell you that you need multiple procedures that apparently your last dentist (mine was excellent but had retired) had somehow missed. Both he and his hygentist will also insist that those procedures need to be done immediately and you will need multiple follow ups. This is the sort of "medical professional" who gives the rest of us a bad name. Stay away.

When they ran 15 minutes late for my cleaning appt, I had no problem. However, when my child had an appt, they were over an hour behind. And not a single employee would have told me what's going on unless I was persistent and asked for follow ups. No one apologized. In fact the older woman at the front desk patient shamed us by saying we should have made a 1st thing in the morning or a Saturday appt. Um, say what? If I am an hour late to an appt, guess what? I have to pay a fine. But keep me waiting for an hour, it's my fault somehow. Not to mention my child had to miss the entire afternoon of school for no reason. Hey, I have an idea - why not try calling your patients that you know will be waiting over an hour and letting them know before they waste 2 hours of their time and miss school. Another suggestion - if you refuse to call and give patients a heads up on lengthy delays, how about when you notice patients sitting in your waiting room for over 15 minutes, take the initiative to find out the delay and let the patients know what's going on? And keep them updated. Emergencies happen. We get it. And understand. But it's how you handle the patients whose appointments are are affected by the emergency that matters. You give them notice, keep them updated, apologize and most of all don't patient shame as if it's their problem.
