I don't have enough words to express how grateful I am for the care I've received at MSPA, so I'll just share my story and hope it helps someone else. For a long time, I wasn't feeling like myself -- constant sadness, low energy, painful periods, and so many other symptoms that were affecting my quality of life. Dr. Mariotti and his entire team are amazing. My journey to my surgery with him was 3 years long. I was in the process of losing 90lbs and each time I met with him, regardless of my weight, he made me feel encouraged, supported, and worthy of looking my best. The same sadly cannot be said for many other surgeons I met with. Dr. Mariotti is just a good human, and it shows. His entire staff are all down to earth, compassionate, capable professionals. No one in his office looks plastic, or over done (always a good sign.). They prioritize your health and a good outcome first, over profit and speed. Audrey worked with me over the years on my scheduling, and though I personally felt like I was failing when I had to push out my surgery, twice, because my weight wasn't where I wanted it, she never made me feel that way, and made it easy to be honest and know they would be there when I was ready. My surgery was a beltlipectomy, breast lift, and back lipo. It was 7.5 hours long, so a big deal to be sure. While I was so scared of something going wrong, his nurses made me feel so safe, the anesthesiologist was also first rate at making me feel like I was in great hands. When I woke my pain was managed effectively, I stayed one night at his surgery center with two nurses who were attentive, easy to be with, and capable. The paperwork they give you to read ahead of time answered nearly every single question that came up for me during the process. I ended up with bladder infection and we called Dr. Mariotti on a Saturday. He returned within 5 minutes and the script was called in within 10. I wasn't made to feel like a burden for calling which is amazing. Now to the results. 10/10 on all fronts. Exceeded every expectation I had. My stomach is flat. Flat, flat. The stitching and incisions are so small people are flabbergasted when I show them. He is an artist to be sure. He didn't go over board on anything. My healing time has been shockingly fast. Everything was drainless which to me was a huge perk. I was prescribed an appropriate amount of pain medicine post op, with a good balance of keeping me comfortable and not over prescribing which would put my greater health at risk. My body looks better than it did when I was 15 years old at a normal weight. He evened out some boxiness I had that I really didn't realize was an issue. I can't quit trying on clothes and taking pictures. The confidence boost this will give me in my personal and professional life cannot have a price put on it. At 46 years old I feel like I look better than I did at 30. If you are in the Bay Area I cannot recommend Dr. Mariotti more. Gifted surgeon. Compassionate, caring man with his heart in the right place, and a staff that matches his priorities on every front. Tummy tuck April 2019: Dr. Mariotti is a miracle worker. I suffered from diastasis recti (abdominal separation) after having three large babies, and tons of extra skin. I had many consultations to find the perfect doctor, and Dr. Mariotti stood out to me right away as the person I would trust with my surgery. He has a kind and warm bedside manner, and made me feel instantly comfortable in his care. His staff is all lovely and welcoming as well. He uses a cutting edge drainless technique which makes the stomach a flat, smooth surface afterwards. It also reduces the swelling and makes recovery so much quicker and more manageable. They have the tummy tuck down to a science, and Dr. Mariotti really has perfected it. He keeps the scar very low so you can't even notice it. He makes sure you have all of the post op medications you need to make you comfortable and nausea-free during recovery. Update to my previous review: 2/20/23 - Tomorrow I'll be 10 weeks post-op from my procedure and recovery continues to go great! I had one minor issue around week 5/6 with some blood gathering under a part of the lower back incision, but it was treated quickly & painlessly. My swelling is so minimal at this point. I am working out regularly and loving how confident I feel in my body now. Two weeks ago I worked out in leggings & a sports only for the very first time - what a freeing experience! Never in my life did I think I'd be walking around so confidently. After all the hard work I put in to lose weight and gain muscle through working out, this procedure was the icing on the cake of all of those positive changes I made to my body. This experience has been the best way to conclude my journey of asking my body to heal and change in the ways that felt right for me. It was so important for me to choose someone who would see how far I've come and honor the significance of this part of my journey. I had a brachioplasty here in 2012, this review has been a long time coming. Since my surgery here I have become more self conscious of my arms than i was prior to having surgery. I know plastic surgery has risks, and i followed up with the office and there was no accountability just more cost estimates on what i would have to pay to have lipo or whatever needed to repair Dr. Mariotti's work. I understand paying for an anesthesiologist again, but I certainly could not understand paying to fix someone's work that was done poorly. I have creases in both my arms when bent with unsightly bulges of fat and i have fat pooled at both my elbows as well. The scars are really bad and thick too, but that's an inherent risk with the surgery and doesn't really bother me (though i've seen people with considerable amounts less scarring). Please see attached photos and get a brachioplasty elsewhere. Currently looking for a surgeon to fix this. read more

TLDR: He and his staff are awesome and I love the results. When I decided to have my implants removed, lower eye-fat removed, and a tummy-tuck. I searched for a surgeon for well over a year. When I asked around, I was told by one person that all of the nurses she knew went to see Dr. Mariotti. Then I heard about him from a couple of his previous patients that answered my query on Nextdoor. I figured it was a smart bet to make an appointment. It was a while before I could get in (fair warning, it'll take a while to get in to see him, but that's for good reason and he's worth the wait). Meanwhile, I visited a couple of other surgeons. His staff is amazing (I just love them). They're well-informed, professional, and welcoming . They made an awesome first impression. Dr. Mariotti met with me and answered all of my many questions, showed me previous patients' before and after photos, and explained my options. I knew then that I had found my surgeon. I left full of excitement and with a folder of information. My surgery was scheduled for 6 months later, partially because of how much I was getting done, but also because he's in-demand. A few months before the surgery, I received a personalized booklet full of everything I needed to know and do before the big day. When I had my pre-op appointment, he took all of my concerns seriously. For example, I have an adhesive allergy , so he sent me home with patches to see if I'd be ok with them. The surgery went smoothly (the nurses and anesthesiologist are fabulous) and I stayed over night to be monitored. I received a phone call the next day, after I went home, checking up on me. It was extremely easy to get in touch with Dr.Mariotti with a concern (that was nothing to worry about). If you call the office and they page him, he gets back to you really quickly, but you can also upload photos, of whatever you're worried about, onto an app his office uses. You can also find before and after photos there. I did end up having a problem with one of my incisions, and I was so happy to have chosen an expert, because it was dealt with quickly. Dr Mariotti and his staff were with me every step of the way. At the end of it all, I am SO happy with the results and I feel more confident. I've had a lot of positive feedback too, which has been really cool. I wish I could post a before and after of, at least, my tummy, he did such an amazing job. 10/10 would do it again. Do yourself a favor and listen when they recommend going to a lymphatic massage therapist before, and then after, surgery. It made an enormous difference in my recovery, especially with the swelling.
