For a long time, I wasn't feeling like myself -- constant sadness, low energy, painful periods, and so many other symptoms that were affecting my quality of life. My doctor at Kaiser suggested it was depression, but something inside me kept telling me there was more to it. I started doing my own research and learned about Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT). I didn't know MSPA offered it until they sent me an invitation last October. I made an appointment right away. From the very first visit, the staff made me feel heard and comfortable. They were kind, patient, and took the time to walk me through everything -- what the treatment involved, what to expect, and why it might help. They sent me to Quest Diagnostics for bloodwork to check my hormone levels, and after reviewing the results, we moved forward with the procedure. It was quick -- about 10 minutes -- and the only discomfort was a brief sting from the anesthesia. Within the first month, I noticed a remarkable difference. For the first time in my life, I had my period with NO cramps. I felt happy -- genuinely happy. It's hard to describe, but it's like I finally wanted to live again. Six months in, and there is no going back. This has been a life-changing experience. It turns out it wasn't depression or me "feeling crazy" -- it was my hormones. I would also like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to the incredible staff -- Stacey, Brittany, and Hailey -- as well as the friendly and welcoming team at the front desk. You are all truly appreciated -- every single one of you. From the moment I walked in, you made me feel welcome, cared for, and never rushed. Your warmth and professionalism made a huge difference in my experience, and I am truly grateful for each of you. I can't recommend this team enough.

I couldn't be happier that I kept searching for the right surgeon for me…read more Years ago, I had my original surgery with Dr. Prescott (at the same clinic Dr. Eberlin now leads). From consultation to post-op care, I had zero complaints. Fast forward 18 years - my results were still amazing with no issues at all. I simply decided I wanted to switch from saline to silicone. I was sad to hear Dr. Prescott had retired, so I consulted with two other surgeons - one of whom came highly recommended in Folsom. Unfortunately, I didn't feel confident moving forward. Both told me they would need to create a new incision under my breast for the implant exchange. I asked why we couldn't go through my original incision (which is barely visible along my lower areola line), and they said reopening it wasn't a good idea and wasn't even an option. When I met Dr. Eberlin, everything changed. I was immediately relieved when I asked where the new incision would need to be, and without hesitation he said we could use my existing incision. He explained that I had healed beautifully and that areolar incisions are known to heal very well and offer natural camouflage compared to the 3-4 inch incisions that some surgeons still make under the breast. He also uses the Keller Funnel technique, something many top surgeons use - which allows for a "no-touch" implant placement. This reduces the risk of bacterial contamination and, in my case, allowed him to go through my original incision. That was incredibly important to me. If you're considering this procedure, I would highly recommend watching videos on how the Keller Funnel works. Unless you are choosing extremely large implants, in my opinion it's a much better approach than creating a larger incision under the breast. From the moment I left my consultation, I knew I would proceed with him. I never felt pressured or rushed. It felt like a thoughtful, genuine conversation. He gave his professional opinion when I asked, but ultimately empowered me to decide on the size and approach that felt right for me. On surgery day, he came in to speak with me beforehand and made sure I felt completely comfortable. Again, no rushing - just calm, confident care. Beyond his technical skill, he is simply a kind and caring human being. You can tell he truly loves what he does and is passionate about his work. I am beyond happy and so grateful I found him. If you are considering plastic surgery, I would recommend Dr. Eberlin without hesitation.

So recently when I decided on rhinoplasty and various facial nips and tucks, I did a considerable amount of research. I learned that despite being a common procedure, rhinoplasty is incredibly complex. Although any plastic surgeon might attempt it, it soon became clear to me that only a double board certified facial plastic surgeon has the education to perform a reliable rhinoplasty, deep plane facelift, lip lift, or really most any facial procedure.  Narrowing my search to SF Bay Area double board certified plastic surgeons, I started reading reviews and comparing CVs. I checked state board records, Reddit, Yelp, Google Reviews, HealthGrades, etc etc.  Of all the CVs I examined, Dr. Matthew Tamplen's was the most impressive by a large margin. From his GPA and his awards to his prestigious fellowship in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery, Dr. Tamplen's background was not just impeccable, it reflected an unmatched depth of training and talent. Reading his online reviews further impressed me.  I did consult with several Bay Area facial plastic surgeons, and found all but one to be knowledgeable. Upon meeting Dr. Tamplen, I found him relaxed, confident, and professional but still congenial.  I settled on him to do my procedures and couldn't be happier.  Every procedure Dr. Tamplen did was simply perfect.  I'm not sure what more I can say about the results. His education and experience are reflected in my outcome.  Scars are minimal, and I look naturally refreshed. My nose is refined and subtly shaped. Despite my husband's oft repeated fears, it's not "a Michael Jackson look," and even he is impressed.  The intensive research really paid off. I found the best double board certified facial plastic surgeon in the bay area, and probably the country.  I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Tamplen.

He has a great eye for delivering natural results and is incredibly knowledgeable. His staff is always warm and welcoming, and he has such a calm, attentive bedside manner. He really takes the time to listen and understand your concerns. One of the biggest benefits has been the relief from my headaches. The Botox has significantly reduced my pain and has made a noticeable difference in my day to day life. I didn't realize how much it was affecting me until I finally experienced consistent relief. I tend to downplay my own health issues, so I especially appreciate how thorough and thoughtful he's been. Without ever being pushy, he helped identify things I had brushed off for years, like a deviated septum and valve concerns etc. I had normalized my breathing difficulties, but thanks to his approach, I'm finally taking charge of my health and moving forward with the right specialist care. Dr Persons is very friendly and caring. She did a bilateral breast lift and implants on me in…read more2021in her office operating room under sedation. I immediately had issues. The scar on the right side got infected and was draining pus. Antibiotics healed the infection but a large keloid scar developed. Also the stitches around both areolas were poking through the skin in places resulting in red dots around the areolas. The left breast also developed keloids. I've had surgery before and never developed keloids on my skin. Within a year an encapsulation, which is scarring around the implant from a bacterial infection, developed around the left implant. This made my left breast hard and painful. Dr Persons recommended a 'closed capsulotomy' which entailed pressing the implant very firmly between her hands and squeezing until the capsule breaks. There was a VERY LOUD popping sound which made me exclaim WOW! It was so loud I looked at her to see if that was normal or expected. She just smiled. She prescribed a medication to help prevent the scarring around the implant from re-forming. That breast stayed soft for about a month then became hard again. Over the next year I returned several times to get this issue resolved. My breast was getting harder and more painful. She was never able to get the capsule reduced again but kept prescribing the same medication. At one point she had her assistant pushing hard on her elbows for extra force as she applied pressure to my breast. When that didn't work she suggested I come back when her boyfriend (a physical therapist) was available! (WTF?) I asked alternatives. The alternative was surgery. There was no way I was going to have her redo this botched surgery, so I started researching options. I requested my records for the surgeon I chose. I couldn't believe what the records said. The last visit Dr Persons wrote 'breasts look great." Unbelievable, the breast was deformed and hard! The right breast had escaped its "pouch" and was drooping toward the right. The new surgeon replaced my implants, she had to lift the breasts more because they weren't in the right place. The right implant was too far to the right and she had to fix the pocket. The left breast was a mess: the left implant was ruptured! There was silicone scarred into my muscles. Parts of the muscles had to be removed to get the silicone out. Since my breasts never had any impact other than the squeezing from Dr Persons I'm certain she ruptured the left implant when she squeezed my breast so hard when there was that loud pop. I'm all healed now, looking great without deformed breasts, keloids, or red marks around my areolas. The breasts are where they should be, symmetrical and soft. My recommendation for Dr Persons-stay away! PS: years ago I had laser hair removal in the surgical room 2 or 3 times when other rooms weren't available. People shouldn't walk in off the street and have procedures in an operating room -those rooms are supposed to be sterile!
