I got liposuction in my double chin by Dr.Persons three years ago and another time the following year. The second time was because the results weren't as prominent as I wanted; it was great only to have to pay for the anesthetics the second time. A year and a half later, after the second liposuction removal over time, I have gained every single part of it back, and I am furious. I have paid her almost $9,000 for everything to return only after a year. I am only in my 20s, so if this happened to me with my liposuction journey with Dr.Persons, it is bound to happen to you, too. Don't get liposuction done here. You will waste your money and time! Along with the terrible results, all the staff act like they don't want to be there. When I was filling out forms at the pre-op, the girl having me fill them out was judging me and my answers to the questions and giving me an educational speech about something that has nothing to do with surgery or with her. Along with that, while getting my stitches taken out the first time, the woman taking them out was very sloppy and harsh; it felt like she was yanking on my skin; the whole experience of getting them taken out had me crying. Why didn't I do this before? Because I didn't love myself last week. Today I needed a drastic change. I have never had fillers and at the moment I used the deal off Groupon. Cortney was the one who improved my life. Here is how a first time filler goes down. You sign paperwork. You're added to the system. You are numbed with cream for about 20-30 min. You're rn comes in to ask what you want as a result and refers you to a treatment. We upgraded the groupon I purchased and was taken before and after pics. Immediately I see results. She had left over product so she observed and made an executive decision to make me happy by putting it in an area deserving. She is incredibly thorough and gentle. read more

I can't say enough good things about Melissa, the gal that injected my filler. She had a bunch of great suggestions about what would look best (I told her I was open to suggestion) using a syringe of filler. She was really sweet and professional and talked me through the whole process, I'm kind of a baby about needles and she was so accommodating of my wimpiness. My results look amazing and subtle, I went out to dinner with my family right after and no one said anything. Her consultation was super thorough she showed me examples and explained her reasoning through everything. After having a bad experience with injectables earlier in the year (seriously y'all this guy who is an md with like 30 years of experience used my $100 consultation to talk about himself, literally asked me no questions before coming at me with a needle AND the results were incredibly botched for $900 for ONE syringe), I was really apprehensive. Melissa put all my fears at bay. Also I so so appreciate that this office does not have a sleazy used car salesman vibe. The reputable dr I mentioned before left me feeling really gross and like I didn't have a say in what I was getting done, everyone I talked to seemed just kind of off and insincere. Perhaps this office is not used to catering to colored people or they are upset about the Groupon deal as are others in this review list. I am sure the Dr. herself is very nice, but the staff is rude and unkind. I had purchased a Groupon for a Hydra Facial. I had an appointment. As I entered the door, I was told immediately they were going to reschedule me, as I was a bit late, no other customer was there. Then I was asked to fill up the forms which I did but missed a page, the receptionist rudely told me I had skipped most pages, 2, 3 and 4, out of which I missed one. Her attitude was rude and condescending. The lady that took me in for my facial, was dry and obviously not interested in providing any service. She told me the facial was not 60 mins as it was advertised and that I told her was fine with me, I told her with a smile as long as the results were good, it didn't matter how long it was. She just was rude and on-caring and said we have what we have, at this moment I told her that if she could give me a minute and I got up from the chair and told her I would like to leave. All she said was OK!!!!! and walked out!!!!!!!! No one at the reception talked to me as I walked out...I left feeling horrible and mistreated. read more

I want to begin by thanking Dr. Persons for offering me a second treatment when my first treatment did not work. I paid for Fraxel to address skin pigmentation issues, and when it did not work, Dr. Persons agreed to test some other treatments on my skin, find one that worked, and provide that treatment at no extra charge. That was a positive. It is appreciated. That being said: I have had one negative experience after another at this office, to the point that one of the office staff has even concurred with me that - while it was nice to offer me the free second treatment - it does not come close to making up for the negative experiences. This is from one of her own office staff! 1) During two separate appointments, both scheduled at the end of my work day, I was made to wait for a total of 2 hours and 55 minutes. 1 hour and 10 minutes the first time. 1 hour and 45 minutes the second time. The second time, I had to cancel dinner plans, as I arrived at 4:30 for a short procedure, and was not seen until 6:15! 2) Leaving on a Wednesday night, I was told that I was "tentatively scheduled" for the next afternoon. For me to make this appointment, I needed to (a) cancel work meetings and (b) numb myself with cream beforehand. I was told that someone would call to confirm that evening or - at the latest - the next day. I cleared my work schedule, called several times on Thursday, and never got a call back. I also called on Friday, and was not called back. And on Monday, and was not called back. Eventually, I got through to someone and was scheduled for a Tuesday appointment at 4:30 (this was the appointment at which I was seen at 6:15). 3) During the 1 hour and 45 minute wait, I was occasionally visited by a nurse or Dr. Persons and told it would be a short while longer. Each time, people left for long stretches of time, only to return and repeat the message. 4) When Dr. Persons finally started my procedure (around 6pm) she left to make a phone call. Then she returned and dictated notes to her assistant about another patient, while working on me. 5) Dr. Person's assistant told me to expect my skin to be red and swollen and brown-speckled afterwards. I knew this to be true, as we had done a test sample on my arm, and I have had IPL in the past. She even tried to sell me a cream, as she said that I would significant skin swelling and pain after the procedure. Since the procedure, my skin has not reddened (not even pinkened), and have not swollen or shown a single brown spot, anywhere. 6) Since I was told to expect red/swelling/brown spots, I called to speak to the nurse and explain that there was not a single change to my skin in any way - no change in color, swelling, speckling. Jenny made a plan with me to call me that afternoon after talking to the doctor - either from the office or (she offered on her own) from her own phone, after leaving the office. She never called me back. I am going to repeat that it was nice of Dr. Persons to offer the IPL, when the first treatment did not work. Because it is important to me to show appreciation, where possible However, making tentative appointments (and having a person numb their skin for the appointment and clear their work schedule to attend) and never confirming the appointment. Having someone wait in an office for 1 hour 10 minutes Having someone wait another time, for 1 hour 45 minutes Taking calls and making notes about other patients mid-appointment. Not returning any phone calls, including when someone is trying to confirm a tentatively scheduled appointment, or trying to ask about post-treatment symptoms (or lack thereof) is * horrible service.* Again, Dr Person's own staff have told me that they are astounded by these experiences. Her own staff (more than one) have told me that her offering me a free second treatment *does not come close* to justifying these experiences. One staff member has been following all this - the long waits, un-returned calls, tentative appts never confirmed (even after multiple calls)...and is appalled. I have tried to be patient. I have not complained during my 2 hours, 55 minutes of waiting. I have thanked the doctor for her efforts. But even offering a 2nd treatment for free does not cancel out this treatment. During my wait, one assistant explained, at great length, that long waits are typical at Dr Persons office (but "justified" b/c she is such a good doctor). Incidentally, when Dr. Persons did a test patch on my skin, trying six separate treatments to see if any removed brown spots or discoloration: ONE (1) worked. Do not be seduced into paying for a treatment w/out a test patch. 5/6 we tried did not work. Dr. P wiIl say they did work a bit. However, I went to my regular dermatologist to get her opinion, and she said 5/6 had ZERO impact. She warned me that if Dr. P said the other 5 worked, she was being dishonest. Do a test patch! Do NOT go to this office!! Do your research!! I have had three surgeries with her because of a horrible implant job she did. Once for a pinched nerve and another for a mass that she supposedly took out while I was asleep for 20 minutes. I went back to her in august and begged for help crying in pain and she told me she was closing till January due to covid and was told my breasts look great and to leave them alone. I trusted my gut and went to Kaiser and they did surgery and found my implants above my muscle backwards and upside down. I wasn't able to get implants back in due to the damage that caused me. If I never would Of went to Kaiser I would of had implants upside down for ever. Dr persons never noticed after 3 surgeries? And also didn't notice they were above my muscle where they weren't supposed to be!!! Dr. Persons recently did a rhinoplasty on me and she knew exactly what she was doing. From my preop she literally took the words right out of my mouth on what i wanted done to my nose. I felt so comfortable. They were able to work with the day i wanted for my surgery as well which was so awesome and i am so grateful. On actual surgery day i was so nervous as anyone would be but Jennie did an amazing job at making me feel safe and comfortable and less nervous. Bought a Groupon for radiesse after seeing another doctor who indicated I would be a good candidate and could likely obtain longer lasting results. However, at the appointment the Nurse told me that I would not be happy with the results. She said I could pay approximately $200 more for a hyaluronic filler from Sweden that would give me better results and that would last longer. I said ok if that's what she recommends I was fine paying the extra cost. I achieved similar results with Juvederm and another filler previously. Looking at my before and after photos just now, the immediate results were slightly better with the Juvederm. We will see if this Swedish filler in fact lasts longer than Juvederm ie up to 18 months. Doubtful but we will see. I am very familiar with the pricing of fillers and this office is making hand over fist using the Swedish filler as the wholesale cost compared to the retail price is a significantly higher than Juvederm. I could have got the Juvederm filler at numerous places for less even though it costs more than the Swedish filler. I was fine with the up sell as I know that sometimes generics work just as well if not better than brand name products. Sure, I like a good deal but I'm not a cheap penny pincher. And, there certainly was no deal here. Period. I would have been ok with the unnecessary upsell and was strongly considering doing another treatment but for this places egregious and unscrupulous bait and switch tactics. When I booked the appointment, I indicated that I wanted to add on the additional 50 units of Dysport for $179 as advertised. I also mentioned this fact when I checked in. So when the appointment was over, it was a shock to me when they told me the cost of the Dysport was $631 for approximately 150 units. There was no discussion regarding the additional use of Dysport. I assumed she was just going to inject the 50 units. I mean when I showed her the Groupon and the part about the add on, she said "that's a really great deal." Ya, I thought it was too -until the price tripled. To add insult to injury, when I reminded the nurse and the receptionist that I booked an appointment for the 50 unit add on, they proceeded to charge me at full price for each unit of botox over 50 units so instead of $631 it cost me $561. Apart from the fact that it didn't occur to me to ask how many units she was going to use given that I clearly noted multiple times I was doing the add on, I have had botox and Dysport on numerous occasions . I'm 38 years old and I don't have deep wrinkles by any means. Indeed, when I got Dysport six months ago in January, I only received 65 units. The doctor I went to in January was the family member of a friend. She did the procedure at cost and advised me truthfully of what I needed to achieve the results I desired. In addition, while it's common knowledge that you need more units of Dysport than Botox, I have had Botox in the same areas on 4 occasions in the last two years and I've never got more than 25 units. There is no way that the ratio requires 6 times as much. Either the Dysport they used is extremely diluted or I'm not going to be able to lift my eyebrows in a few weeks! If I am unable to move my eyebrows in a few weeks, I will revise this review to reflect 1 star! What occurred today was a breach of contract and extremely unprofessional. I should have refused to pay but I honestly didn't want to deal with the stress. I just paid and left. I certainly will not be going back for the fraxel consultation with Dr. Person's, nor will I recommend her office to anyone. While this would be satisfactory personally, I believe it was necessary that I share my experience to prevent another unassuming customer from being upsold and swindled through unscrupulous and as outlined in the business and progressions code section 17200 entitled unfair and fraudulent business practices. Notably, I honestly can't say anything bad about Dr. Person's because she was away on vacation. However, she hired the nurse and receptionist to work for her and that is a testament to her judgment as a physician. Thus, if you do go to this office, beware and make sure you do your research and clarify cost and expectations every step of the way. Clearly there objective at this office in using Groupon is not to create repeat business but to create a revolving door of one and done customers. read more

It's been 8 months post op and I can't say that I'm pleased or even satisfied with my results. My breast are still very uneven. I'm back to putting extra padding in my bra again to make up for the lack of volume on one side like I did when I was 13 years old. I never thought I would be back to square one again and having to deal with the humiliation and insecurity of putting padding in my bra due to having uneven breasts again. I'm pretty disappointed that after spending so much money and being left with ugly unnecessary scaring and my breasts don't look any better than they did before I went in. I'm just as unhappy as I was when I walked in. I wasn't expecting my breast to be the same shape at all but I was least hoping they would be the same size. I was so excited finding her online after spending hours doing research and looking up different doctors in the area. I guess after reading up on her and her story that I felt we had something in common and she would understand my struggle being a woman needing reconstructive surgery due to circumstances that we couldn't prevent or even influence. I still think Dr person and her team are really sweet and kind, but after seeing the results I'm thinking that maybe Dr Persons wasn't the right one take on my reconstructive procedure. I was very specific with my request and what I was looking for and she was totally onboard with what I wanted done. She even had good suggestions that I also took into consideration seeing that she's the expert and I welcomed her input. We spent hours going over everything and I thought we were in agreement and on the same page up until the surgery day. The day of my surgery I could tell she was very frazzled, under a lot of pressure and stressed out and that shows in the results of my procedure. Everything just seemed so rushed. I wish that maybe she could have taken more time to pay better attention to detail and just followed the agreements we made before. But after the first 4 weeks post op I was already seeing results that I wasn't happy with and different from what we had previously discussed and gone over. After waiting 3 more months post op, it just became more and more obvious that this wasn't going to improve at all. I waited 8 months before I made a new review about my experience just to be fair because I know the body changes everyday. I'm kinda hurt and disappointed that I spend a whole year saving my money for her to do it and it didn't really make a difference at all, it seems the only thing I really paid for was an implant replacement. My reconstructive surgery was definitely not one of her best works. She did her best to make me comfortable and she always offers high class customer service, but I wasn't looking for comfort I was looking for results. :/ All the best to her, her team and future patients. read more

Dr. Persons and her nurse Jenni are such lovely people! They made me feel very comfortable and explained all benefits and results clearly. I actually cried tears of joy when I saw my results! I love Dr Persons and her staff! I had a lot of questions. They answered with knowledge and a smile. I have had a facial and a filler procedure. I am very happy with the natural results. Update: The radiesse that Dr. Persons injected near my orbital rim bone is not a good idea for a filler with calcium in it, according to most plastic surgeons. I developed two small nodules from this. I am praying they dissolve over time. I had a great experience at Dr. Person's office. I had one vile of radiesse for naseolabial folds, but got some in my cheeks too, which is commonly recommended. I had no brusing, and I am experiencing very minor discomfort in my upper cheek, but nothing unbearable. My only complaint is that I think one vile isn't enough, I already want more filler. I may be hooked. Although it's subtle, I look more youthful and rejuvenated. No one could ever tell I had anything done! I definitely want to soften the folds more, and I'll be back for touch ups in the future. I also had some additional units of botox added to my treatment becuase my previous doctor didn't give me enough. Dr. Persos was very friendly, I liked her a lot! She's a neat lady! read more
