I bought a groupon for Botox. I have been doing Botox in San Francisco for over four years. I recently moved and was hoping to find someone closer to where I live. Unfortunately, my experience was not great. I sat in the waiting room for over an hour past my scheduled appointment (note that the receptionist did apologize) and, although Dr Marenbach was super friendly, she seemed to rush and I still have an angry brow in the area I asked her to treat. I will definitely continue the long hall to San Francisco to see my regular Dr. On top of everything, I've been trying to get my Brilliant Distinctions points deposited for over a month and each time I call they promise it will be taken care of. So disappointed! Update: My Brilliant Distinction points were finally deposited! read more

5 stars isn't enough! I e gotten my lips plumped up here a few times and after needing a redo on my breasts I know exactly who I could trust with those . Not only does dr persons listen but she is nurturing and kind ! Her staff is warm and kind as well as very professional! I really felt well taken care and listened to by them all . I will be getting a Brazilian butt lift done in the next few months by dr person . Because there's nobody else I feel confident in . read more

Dr. Persons is an absolutely beautiful individual and a very talented doctor. After I researched her background diligently, I finally, first met this wonderful doctor a little less then a year ago. Unlike many plastic surgeons, she is sincere, warm, easy to talk to, generous with her time and really cares about her patients. I have seen her plastic surgery "book" and it is vey impressive due to her own experience and her aesthetic and artistic eye. I've see her in action with other patients prior to surgery and I notice she cares more about her patients well being above anything else. I've only had injectables done for myself and my nasty furrow between my brows. It has now been a couple of times. Dr. Person is equally talented with the injectables. and Injectables should never be taken lightly. Dr. Persons extensive knowledge of the facial structure and muscles' response to the injectables, surpasses the myriad of other MDs, RNs, etc... I have been to... The results are natural and beautiful, not at all like an over plumped cartoon character. There is no doubt in my mind that when Im in need of more extensive treatment, I will not hesitate and go directly to Dr. Persons. Lastly, I work in the cosmetic industry where reputation is everything. I feel very comfortable recommending my clients to Dr. Persons read more

I've now had two terrible experiences at Persons Plastic Surgery. The first experience, I came for Botox. One of the technicians performed the procedure. She botched the job and my forehead was all crooked. One eyebrow lifted and the other did not. So I had to come all the way back (30 minute drive) to have Dr. Persons fix the job. They did not offer me a partial refund or any compensation. Then, Dr. Persons offered unsolicited advice about what is wrong with the shape of my face and procedures she could do to fix it. I now have a new insecurity that I did not have before. Her job is to address patients' concerns, not create new ones! About a year later, I returned for another Botox procedure (BIG MISTAKE!). The office was jam full of people (at least 3 people waiting, in addition to all the staff) - during COVID. I arrived on-time for my appointment, but they told me to go wait in my car and they would call me when it was time. FORTY-FIVE minutes later, and I decided to give up and drive home. They called me shortly thereafter to tell me it was time for my appointment, but by then it was too late. I asked what they were going to do to make it right, and all they said was they would try to do better next time. SO DISAPPOINTING. I WILL NOT BE BACK!!!!!! read more

Pretty disappointed. Waited 45 minutes past appointment time for the doctor, even though I seemed to be the ONLY patient there. Paid the $95 consultation fee. Asked about a few different procedures and was told they would email the estimate that day. Second day, called and asked if they could send it...nothing. Here is is day four, and still no estimate. So what was the consultation fee for, just to have the doctor look at and placate me? Wouldn't they want to provide an estimate on procedures? Isn't that how they make money, or is it just in consultation fees? Bad business model and even worse customer service. No way I will trust them with my body, now. read more

During my visit for the first time, the office had been relocated temporarily and the place was a bit of a mess. I was a little hesitant at first as to whether or not I should keep my appointment. However, because the staff was so welcoming and explained immediately the reason things were in disarray (due to an incident in their original suite upstairs) - I felt comfortable. Dr. Persons was very friendly, reassuring and listened to understand what I wanted. She helped me to make the right decision in choosing the treatment and placement best for me. Great experience! read more

When we moved to California I was interested in getting botox, but it's always a chore trying to find someone inviting and professional. I came across the groupon and decided to give Persons a chance. My first visit was very pleasant and everyone there is very inviting and professional. Chelsea their RN, took me to the back and was very pleasant and explained everything about the process. She did a great job and I love the way my face looks. I have since been back twice and have had a busted blood vessel removed and more botox. I love the fact that Chelsea is very cautious about where she injects so I do not look like a clown. Even though I haven't had any major work done, Dr. Persons makes it point to say hi and makes you feel comfortable. From the first visit to my latest, I always feel more than welcomed! read more

Dr. Persons is a truly gifted, expert surgeon who really cares for her patients. Her focus is on getting the best outcomes possible and strives for perfection. I know that it can be scary to pick a plastic surgeon once you have decided to take the plunge, but please rest assured that Dr. Persons will take great care of you. She has done reconstruction for me as well as cosmetic procedures and I could not be happier. Her office staff is also very professional and very caring. read more

My doctor was SO knowledgeable and very talented! She truly takes the time to explain the procedures and the science behind them. Very compassionate and caring bedside manner. Extremely grateful for the opportunity to have seen her today and will certainly be coming back! Couldn't have asked for a better experience! I cannot possibly be happier! read more

I have been going to Dr. Persons for a couple of years now - mostly for Radiesse filler. I was immediately impressed with the qualify of personnel and with Dr. Persons herself. She is kind, gentle and listens to my concerns. On more than one occasion, she has gone way way above and beyond to address other concerns unrelated to the injections - at no charge. No other plastic surgeon would spend the extra 10-20 minutes, much less bring in other staff - to assist her with a problem that was not of her making. I am usually cautiously optimistic when it comes to "beauty" treatments, but I wholeheartedly trust Dr. Persons and will continue to receive treatment from her. read more

Yes, sometimes dreams do come true! After 30 years of imagining what it would look like if I could fix a few disfiguring-type things on my body, I finally got the courage to contact a plastic surgeon. It was just my luck that I reached out to Dr. Barbara Persons of Lafayette, CA. Dr. Persons assured me she could help and she truly did. In my opinion, she performed "magic" on my body and I now feel like a new woman. When I look in the mirror, my self-esteem is off the charts and I feel so, so happy to have taken this journey with her. You see, Dr. Persons' skilled surgical talents are only surpassed by her genuine caring, kindness and compassion for her patients. I feel blessed to have found her. In addition, Dr. Persons' has an absolutely phenomenal staff: - Jennie is a nurse of the highest caliber and she was there to support me through each step of this transformation. Her compassion, caring and calming spirit guided me through every stage of this journey. - Emily, Dr. Persons' surgical assistant, is attentive, kind and so caring. Her reassuring calmness made all the difference before and after my surgery. - Connie, Willis, Mackenzie, and Almira, Dr. Persons' office staff, are also wonderful and always make you feel like you are their most important patient. I have been going to Dr. Persons for different cosmetic skin treatments since 2017. She is very professional, personable and really listens to and cares about her patients. She never tries to "sell" you on any procedure or skin product, but really works with you to achieve the results you are seeking. Moreover, I like the staff in her practice. They are very pleasant and organized with regard to scheduling appointments and billing procedures. read more

Dr. Persons office is wonderful. All of her staff are always welcoming and make me feel comfortable. She performed a surgery on my ear lobe to remove a mole that has always been a part of my body that I was a shamed of. I am now able to wear earrings and put my hair up comfortably. She did a great job on the surgery and checked up on me multiple times, adding fat and doing laser treatments to accelerate the fading of my small scar. She is absolutely a wonderful surgeon and person. Thanks for all you have done for my Dr. Persons :) read more

I've been going to Persons for a long time and I love it so much there! The staff is so kind and Dr P is a total professional. I'm writing this review, which is long overdue, because my most recent visit I was helped out by Emily who is exceptionally charismatic and friendly. The whole time I couldn't help but wonder how such delightful people exist. I can't recommend Person's Plastic Surgery enough, if you have need of their services please go here! read more

First visit was a consult and I was able to speak with Dr Persons and Courtney (the laser queen). Dr. Persons is very down to earth. Super easy to talk to and had good suggestions and responses for all of my questions. Courtney is also very personable. I have huge pores and wanted to see if anything could be done to minimize them. I have had IPL treatments in the past for sun damage but they don't address the pores. I liked that you didn't have to purchase a package. You can just buy as many or little as needed based on your results. Fraxel helps to stimulate collagen production which begins to drop starting in 40s and much more noticeably in 50s. Noticed a huge different in my sun damage and really smoothed out my skin overall. Who says you can't grow old gracefully without a little help? read more

I ended up coming back here but Melissa no longer works here which I was super disappointed but decided to make an appointment anyhow and was convinced to buy more dysport than usual during my appointment than Melissa did and it's been over a week now and I've hardly seen any results of what I wanted to achieve on top of it I have this bruise on my forehead that still here a week later!! I've never bruised from injections ever!! If anything it seems like my eye lids are droopier/ heavier than ever now and it was supposed to open up my eyes more as I have heavy eyelids.. On top of it when I went to pay they told me the price went up from last time which they should've informed me at the time I made the appointment!! So I ended up spending way more money with way less results and more units than I've ever got in the past before with Melissa!!! they did offer for me to come back to try to correct it with the doctor which was nice of them but I got there right on time had to wait at least 20 minutes in the waiting room and then at least 45 minutes or so in this tiny depressing room waiting for the doctor... the receptionist was super nice and checked on me and got me water and put some numbing cream on me..the doctor was very nice but I have never had this numbing cream in the past and it was left on my face and not wiped off during the injections and after the Injections which didn't seem normal to me...? I actually had to ask the receptionist for a facial wipe to remove it myself and then my face felt numb for the next couple hours! I appreciate the doctor making the effort but it did not seem to make much of a difference as I think as of now I'm just going to have to wait a couple months for this to wear off unfortunately and out of $400!!!! will not be going back there again!!! I had raved about Melissa to all my friends I will inform them now she unfortunately does not work there anymore..VERY DISAPPOINTING!! read more

I am a physician and am very sensitive to what makes for an excellent patient care experience. Dr Persons and Jenni, her nurse, are the real deal. Dr Persons is an artist and inspires confidence with her wealth of surgical experience and sound professional judgement. If you are searching for someone who can help you look like a better version of yourself, look no further. Jenni bridges that gap between a basic clinical visit and a spa experience that makes you feel pampered. I cant recommend them enough. read more

I am beyond thrilled with my results. After 2 loving kids have passed through this body it was time to take care of me. Following a mommy makeover I have the confidence of a woman over 30 in the body of a 20 year old and I couldn't be more thrilled. Everything was easy, the staff was over the moon accommodating and the my have 2 locations for much easier access to care. Highly, highly recommended to anyone interested in building your own self confidence read more

I have been seeing dr. Person for a few years now. Over the course of the last few months the services has been terrible long waiting periods a d at times they will forget about you. About a month ago I made an appointment with dr. Person to be seen on Tuesday' sept 7th. But last Friday 9/3 her assistant Jenny called me to cancel my appointment because they weren't "treating non emergency appointments " I was really offended when Jenny asked what am I going in there for and what type of treatment ... they should've had all that information in the computer already since I booked my appointment one month in advanced. She told me they will call contact me in the near future to reschedule my appointment(which they canceled on me). I will have to look for someone else to get treatments by which I am sure I wouldn't have a hard time finding, because this isn't okay I have waited over a month to be seen by dr. Person to only to be told that my appointment is cancelled by her staff. read more

The receptionist was super sweet and accommodating but the blonde nurse with dark streaks in her hair either was having a bad day or has a really bad attitude. She was pissed about the groupon deal they have been doing but that is neither my fault nor my problem. I work in healthcare and have to say I was shocked about how unprofessionally she acted. Her arrogance was uncalled for. I decided not to purchase anything after my interaction with her. Won't be going back there and recommend finding out who she is and avoiding her. read more

It wasn't the nurse's fault. She sent the doctor the photos of my infected breast and Dr. Perrson's told her to tell me to come back tomorrow. I lived far away! read more

I had such a great experience today at Dr. Persons' Brentwood office. Cool Saturday drive out to a place where you can see the sky. Her office is quiet, easy, very relaxed. I use to think very highly of Dr Persons and her staff until I had -------surgery and the incisions were not the same as discussed before the matter. I am still going through injections months later and the scars are horrific. I asked for ice packs before she injected me, which is painful and Dr Persons response was "she had to inject me to move to her next patient. She was rude and impatient. I think it's time for her to find another profession. I will have to seek another doctor for care. The after care and communication in this office is terrible. read more

Frazzled doctor, terrible results, and unfriendly receptionists. I went to see Dr. Persons for an injection and ended up with WORSE results than when I walked in. She completely rushed through the procedure. I also was left waiting for over an hour in a small waiting room with absolutely no apologies from the receptionist. Spare yourself a lot of wasted time and go elsewhere! read more

If you want to just be pretty, you could probably go to any average surgeon; but if you want to look and feel *beautiful*, you need Dr. Persons. She is a rare combination of exceptional skill and compassion for her clients. I had no experience with plastic surgery, but one day I looked in the mirror and started seeing my mother's image. I decided that for my birthday I'd get rid of those bags under my eyes and that loose neck. I found the staff and the doctor to be wonderful - your questions are answered and the follow up is great - when you are a patient of Dr. Persons, she takes your well being and satisfaction seriously and checks up for weeks and months after the initial procedures. I was surprised at how much time and care they put into being sure you are comfortable and happy with the final results. I can't recommend them highly enough! read more

I've been here a few times and I would go back. I trust the staff, the atmosphere is comfortable, and both the Dr. and her workers have been helpful every time I go in there. They know what they are doing, and the service I received here was good. I am a very apprehensive person, but I know that Dr. Persons is a professional who I can trust. I am also careful as to where I spend my money, and Dr. Persons is someone I am happy to support in her business. I was a patient of Dr. Friedman's originally and I was skeptical of the change; not of her specifically but of accepting a new Doctor to fill his shoes. I am glad that the transition went smoothly and as mentioned, I'll be back. read more

Dr Person's is a masterful surgeon and a wonderful woman. I had Radiesse placed into my nasal folds and immediately looked 10 years younger. Due to back pain, I had my rather jumbo breasts reduced and lifted in August of 2013. Best decision ever. What huge mistake I had was having my muffin top removed by lipo. I was given a price I paid to Dr Person's office. The plan was to do both procedures at Aspen Surgery Center. I inquired to any additional cost and the anesthesiologist said he would charge me $300 for the additional time to complete the lipo. Well nearly seven months later, I received a bill for an additional $2,500. Had I done the lipo in Dr Persons office suite it would have cost around $3,500. I am now going to have to cover additional fees. And To be quite honest, the muffin top is gone only to create a strange shape in the upper abdominal area.I just want to give anyone considering improvements to know Dr Persons is fantastic in many areas but the billing issues should be hammered out in writing before you begin. That being said, I admire her practice and staff. need anything Jenny will move heaven and earth to keep you satisfied and healthy. read more

When I first called the office, there was nothing available that would work for my schedule. However, Casey was very professional, took down my info and later called to let me know that an appointment time had opened up. The office has been recently renovated and is conveniently located in Lafayette. Debbie, the esthetician, greeted me with a warm smile. She was careful to ask me about my skin type and customize the facial to my needs. The comfortable chair, heated blanket, soothing sounds and gentle touches made it very positive and relaxing experience. read more

So I was referred to by a friend who saw her for filler and I have to say I am a tough critic . I went in thinking I probably would have to explain where my lack of fat was on my face and where I wanted to try filler yada yada. Which wasn't the case at all! She is an ARTIST and I didn't have to say a thing. She gets it, and i felt super comfortable for a reason . She is highly skilled. I am extremely pleased with Dr.Persons . As a skeptical 24 year old and beginner to filler , I feel amazing because I look lifted and refreshed. I had filler injected into my chin/cheek bones and dysport in my forehead. If you would like pictures I can send them upon request :). Highly recommend , she truly cares and has an eye for beauty . read more

Despite waiting about 30 minutes to be seen, and yes I was also 15 minutes late because of the rain, I was given the absolute royal treatment for a filler. I was not seen by Ms. Persons but another lady of whom I did not get her name. Injections or fillers can be a big deal, they hurt but not super bad, and it's just overall not a fun thing. But the outcome here is nothing short of amazing and I will definitely be back. Her bedside manner and explanation was just super top notch, and she knew exactly where to focus on in my cheek and eye and brow area. I will definitely be back. I am so happy I found them, it is worth it to make a visit. Thank you again! read more

After interviewing several plastic surgeons, I decided I wanted a woman surgeon. Being an older lady....I was not sure the surgeons I spoke with understood the difference between vanity and self confidence. I met with Dr. Persons and felt immediately she understood my needs, ultimately the surgery she recommended for me was different than what I went into the office to see her about. I scheduled my surgery, and here I am 4 months later feeling great and looking amazing. Feeling that confidence of knowing I look as good as I feel. Surgery is almost pain free....the office, the surgical staff and Dr. Persons are caring, concerned and were attentive to all my needs. I would do it all again in a heart beat!!!
