Dr. Persons is knowledgeable and a nice Dr, the problem is EVERY single time I've gone there, I've had to wait over an hour for each appointment. I've scheduled 7 appointments over the past 1 1/2 years and I show up on time to my appointment only to sit in the waiting room full of other patients waiting to be seen. I complained the last time to Dr. Person and she said she was going to add staff to help the situation. I scheduled an appointment for today, showed up on time again to a room full of waiting patients. I waited 45 minutes (shame on me) and finally told the receptionist that I was cancelling my appointment after she told me it could be a while. Unless you have a lot of time on your hands, its not worth the wait.....each simple visit, what should take 10-15 minutes, always takes 1 1/2 to 2 hours....most of which is waiting for the doctor. read more

I found Dr Persons office on Yelp, after reading many reviews, I decided to make an appointment. Dr Persons is simply amazing and extremely talented. I went in for Botox and have been very happy with the results. Also I have referred her to several of my friends who had a similar experience. The doctors and the staff are professional, knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommended by me! read more

I feel like Dr. Barbara Persons gave me back 10 years of my life! I had a mini facelift and necklift, plus fillers and Fraxel laser. She went all out in treating me and I'm extremely happy with the results. She and her staff are warm and caring. I connected with her immediately and she took great care of me. Dr. Pearson did a great job!! I'm due for a face lift, but with a session of Botox and filler I'm looking very rejuvenated :) the staff is so friendly and they all have the most gentle touch. It's nice to see a doc that is so excited to make you feel pretty again. This is my new favorite place!! P.s. Thank you nurse Brittany for holding my hand the whole time :) read more

I've called to ask about a procedure and make an appointment, a friend of mine has also called, they don't return messages. That's too bad, I guess they don't want new patients read more

Barbara Persons is amazing. My 3 year old daughter fell and needed stitches in her forehead. My pediatrician preferred "the best of the best" do this rather than him, given it's her forehead. It was after 5pm and he called Dr Persons and asked if she would do this, she said no problem and waited for us. Her and her wonderful receptionist were the only ones still there and we got 5 Star treatment. She numbed her with numbing cream prior to suturing and used a little nitrous oxide for comfort and the baby was singing "Let it Go" as Dr. Barbara numbed up and sutured her nasty forehead gash into a perfect seam. Not one tear was shed by my little sweetie. This office and physician really are "the best of the best". I work in healthcare and my experience with this office was excellent. Thanks Barbara Persons, you and Kris really took care of us!! read more

I can not say thank you enough to Dr. Persons for her amazing work. She is an angel in my life. 2 years ago I had a breast reduction with an another doctor that did not went well, my breast had huge scars, part of my nipple was ripped I was hopeless. I researched a lot of doctors to see if someone would be able to re-do my surgery and I couldn't find any that I could trust enough do to the surgery with. Until I found Dr. Barbara Persons. She was so kind she understood me not only as patient but also as a woman. I had my revision with her and I couldn't be more happy or pleased with the result. I never expected that I would get such a great result. She literally gave me back my self esteem. Everyday when I look to the mirror I feel happy with my breast before I was so devastated but now I feel complete again. read more

I went for hair removal, but their Viora Laser for hair removal would not work. During 1 1/2 hours, several failed attempts to fix the problem, & talks with the Viora Rep The staff at Persons Plastic Surgery were very gracious. But no go, I was sent on my way with no treatment. Maybe next time. read more

Another wonderful experience with Melissa! I am so thankful I've found her and Persons! Truly a great place. Had been wanting to try fillers but was a little scared. Melissa totally put me at ease and again did an amazing job! If you're on the fence, I'd say this is the place to go! She explains things as she goes and offers real advice. I trust her implicitly. read more

Dr Persons is the best. Although my case has not been an easy road she has made my journey with my breast cancer reconstruction bearable. Her expertise, her knowledge of her craft and her caring chairside manner is second to none. I have complete confidence and faith in her and would recommend her highly. She also happens to have a wonderful staff. read more

Jocelyn was amazing and I would highly recommend her. She was patient and explained everything without rushing me.

I had a filler injection with Sculptra. Everything went great. The nurse was terrific and has a great eye as to where the filler is best used. No bruises the next day and minimal swelling. I am very pleased and will be back. read more

I am so pleased with this place! When I first walked in I was greeted by the front desk lady who was very pleasant. I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Persons and it was well worth the drive. She is so nice, friendly and caring; she actually takes the time to listen to your thoughts and concerns. I had my injections done by Chelsea their RN and let me say, she is wonderful. She did my botox and filler and it turned out so perfect. I would recommend this place to anyone without hesitation. read more

Dr Persons and staff are amazing!!! I truly can't not say enough they have gone above and beyond. Walking me through our every twist and turn with my surgery. They've been so patient with me changing my mind and type of surgery. I am so thankful for all the doctor has done it means the world. read more

I'm late in updating this, but I had a Mommy Makeover done by Dr. Persons in December 2015, after having two children. The whole staff was really wonderful through the whole process. They answered all of my questions and talked me through each step. A few months after, when I was healed most of the way I had a tiny unevenness (that likely only I would notice), but Dr. Persons corrected it for me, no problem. I'm so happy I decided to have the procedure, while I had lost all of my baby weight, I could not get rid of the sagging skin on my own. I would 100% recommend Dr. Persons. I'm very pleased with my results, my scars are fading nicely as well even only three years later. read more

Dr Persons was my choice for plastic surgery following MOHs surgery for a basal cell carcinoma on my scalp near my forehead. I could have had an ugly scar or a spot with no hair but all this didn't happen. The plastic surgery she did completely made the potential scar disappear. I will go Back for cosmetic procedures with confidence. read more

How do I begin to share my gratitude for the skill and compassion of Dr Barbara Persons. Not only is she an extremely capable surgeon but also a caring individual with a creative way of looking at complex skin and scar issues. It was incredibly inspiring and healing to work with a surgeon who has been through many of the same traumatic experiences I have gone through. I have seen several other plastic surgeons but Dr Persons was the first one to propose unique and alternative ways of addressing the scarring on my eyelid and cheek. Thank you Barbara - you are the best!! read more

I had been going to a dermatologist in Marin for my filler injections for 3 years or so... a doctor super talented in aesthetics and always happy with the results, but the guy was a world class egoist asshole and just couldn't deal with his personality anymore. But I had had bad injections before and was loathe to trust anyone else. I took my chances with Dr. Persons after reading her reviews and purchasing a vial of Radiasse on Groupon. Upon arriving at the office I also purchased a vial of Restlyne. I was VERY nervous going in.. and probably sounded like a paranoid control freak as I was asking if they do everything my regular dermatologist did when I went to him for injections: * do you numb with ice for a 1/2 hour before you start? * do you use numbing cream? * do you massage the filler from the inside of the mouth as you go? * do you use the smallest size needles? * do I remain sitting up? Check, check, and check ... the nurses and Dr. Persons were patient and light hearted with me. Dr. Persons herself was a perfectionist as she injected. She took her time, she used the smallest gauge needles, she chatted with me throughout the process, and most important, she had a light touch- which is what you need if you are to prevent bruising. I had no bruising post injection and swelling went down quickly. My only complaint is that fillers are ADDICTING! I already want more.. and as time goes on and what you have starts to dissolve, you feel as if you are suddenly getting older looking at a fast rate :-( ultimately, making peace with looking older will be much kinder to your pocketbook.. going back multiple times a year for filler costs a fortune. But if you can't give it up.. Persons Plastic Surgery is a great place in which to indulge. read more

Barbara is an amazing doctor. She is always concerned with your preferences and advises on the best course of action. She makes sure to consult with you before she begins the procedure. Today was my first visit to Persons Plastic Surgery. The location was convenient- close to the freeway & free parking. The office was pleasant & I was seen on time. I saw RN Melissa for my procedures & I couldn't be happier. I had Restylane injections for the marionette lines around my mouth & dysport injections in my forehead. Melissa explained what she was doing & was very gently. I hardly felt anything. I will come here again & I highly recommend this establishment! read more

Jocelyn was great - but the bruising I got from fillers was HORRIBLE! I looked like I had been punched a few times! I was warned about some 'minor' bruising but this was far from minor. My disappointment, and primary reason for this review was that I contacted the office twice and even sent photos expressing my concern, looking for ways to quickly remedy/recover from the awful bruises, but no one from the office ever followed up with me. Disappointing. read more

I wouldn't recommend this place for Botox, it never worked. The nurse was very nice, but the product NEVER set. I waited 2 months then went to another place that I am VERY happy with. I hate to complain, but I hate wasting money more! read more

Was a patient of Dr. Friedman's and used their cosmetic services on a regular basis. Was told the office staff was remaining after he retired, then all of the sudden, next time I called, staff disappeared. New receptionist, every time I call, she doesn't know anything, doesn't know people's names, prices of services, changed their promotions for services, etc.. Geraldine the nurse just "disappeared" as did their very nice front desk staff. Sounds kind of sketchy and unprofessional. I'm definitely not comfortable going there again for my cosmetic services. read more

I've been going to Dr. Persons for several years - even though the expense is outside of my Kaiser medical plan - because she truly is the best doctor who understands the residual effects my Bells Palsy caused on my face. Kaiser doctors in cosmetics actually made matters worse when trying to calm a twitch in my eye and other related items. Dr. Persons knew exactly what product to use for the condition and how to improve the issues - and the treatment lasts for a year. This year's visit I expressed concern with what a sinus condition is causing - a deep sinus line and Dr. Person's knew exactly what would be most beneficial. She takes time with her patients to understand them, their lifestyle, and make recommendations that align with the patient. If I ever need to (or want to) have a more invasive procedure such as surgery (e.g., removal of eye flaps) --- I will choose Dr. Persons because of the utmost trust I have in her ability! read more

Was introduced via a living social deal. The staff was awesome from the outset. I have had botox, etc. for migraines many times at many other locations. This was the most outstanding experience for this type of procedure, and one of the most outstanding interactions with a physician in general. I am a health care professional, and am very familiar with physicians, clinics and this one was outstanding. The physician also provides the injections, not just a nurse or tech, so I felt the services were even more outstanding. There was a little bit of a wait, but since you are actually seeing a specialist, a board certified plastic surgeon, it is absolutely worth it! I would return again, for other services, and would trust Dr. Persons to perform surgery on me if needed. I recommend this office and this doctor very highly. I don't want to go anywhere else. read more

5.0 star rating 12/31/2016 Dr. Persons is the best surgeon/artist that I have ever had the pleasure to meet. She is compassionate AND passionate about what she does. I immediately felt at ease with her as she genuinely cares about her patients, as do her entire staff. Two years ago, I suffered what is called "spontaneous dissection of the carotid artery." Basically, one of the four arteries that brings the blood to the brain tore. (Apparently, being a gym rat has its drawbacks). I was fortunate to have survived it. It left me with what is called Horner's syndrome in my left eye, which causes the lid to droop significantly and my left eye always hurt. Soon after, my other eye became "sympathetic" and began to droop as well. I was depressed and very self conscience about the way I looked because when I looked in the mirror, I didn't recognize the person staring back at me. I avoided looking in mirrors and felt uncomfortable looking at others in the eye. Horner's syndrome must be repaired by a specialist, as it is a complicated surgery. I was blessed to be recommended to Dr. Persons by a close friend of mine who had had plastic surgery by Dr. Persons (which came out perfectly btw), so I made a consultation appointment. Dr. Persons was amazing in every way before and after the surgery. She explained to me that the muscle had to be repaired in the damaged left eye and that the right eye needed to match. I remember her telling me, "It will take some time to heal but your eyes will be perfect. Trust me." I'm so glad I did. Long story short, Dr. Persons performed two surgeries at the same time; one to repair the damaged muscle behind the left eye and a blepharoplasty on both eyes to ensure a perfect/natural result and evenness. Fast forward to the present and I could not be happier! The droop and pain are gone in my left eye and, as she promised, my eyes are perfect again. Most importantly, I LOOK LIKE ME. Everyone says I look great/rested and ask if I have taken a vacation recently. Now I can look people in the eye with restored confidence and a big grin thanks to Dr. Persons. (If you want to see pictures, just email me or I will post them very soon). All I can tell you is this: Dr. Persons is a perfectionist and an artist. Her compassion is as big as her skills. If you are thinking about plastic surgery, make an appointment with Dr. Persons. Thank you, Dr. Persons and staff for all that you do. These words cannot express my deepest thanks to you, Dr. Persons. Quite simply, you're the best read more

First time I visit to do the filler I never had before ,when I asked about the filler what different between radiesse and sculptra coz I bought sculptra from groupon she said you have to pay more than $300 again if you want radiesse,I don't mind if I have to pay more but the nurse not look happy and angry answer all my questions ,every time 1 question she go outside and close the door so hard made me so scared until they changed with another nurse , maybe they think this is cheap because I bought from groupon but still money , they gave me radiesse but I think they fill different portion left and right because when I touch left side nothing there only I felt in the right side ,this offer not worth I need to go to another doctor ,never ever come to this place anymore read more

I scheduled a consultation with Dr. Barbara Persons. My experience was terrible. The office receptionist was unfriendly. After waiting for half an hour I was lead to a small ugly and dark room. I was waiting there for nearly half an hour. A new receptionist came and asked me to switch rooms. I waited for another half an hour, and no one showed up. The room was not clean, and the decoration was done in a very poor taste. So after waiting for nearly one and a half hours, I came out and complained to the new receptionist about the very long wait. She did not seem to care and did not apologize. I left the office. No one called to apologize. This office can't be trusted. read more

Dr Persons is a wonderful, warm, caring passionate plastic surgeon. She is genuinely interested and cares for each one of her patients. Thank you to Dr. Barbara Person today. My eight year old daughter split her lip/cheek area open and had a few stitches. Dr. Person took us as a new patient and saved us to a trip to the ER.
