I have stayed with him for all these years because he has a vast breadth of knowledge, he talks to me and not at me, he focuses as much on keeping me healthy as he does in dealing with any health issue I might have and I really like his holistic philosophy of health. His explanations are clear and he answers questions directly. He mines me for information and then works to connect the dots. And he channels his ideas and recommendations within the value boundaries of his patients without compromising his medical analyses or his solutions. Beyond medicine, he also advises on lifestyle changes that a patient can make to enhance their health. As a result, I have improved on a variety of personal health metrics ranging from my Ac1 score to my inflammation levels to even my heart parameters. He also instills confidence that one has the power to impact their health in positive ways. I especially like that he has a nutritionist professional on his staff. I've learned more about the relationship between food and health than I ever thought I would and to my significant benefit. I would suggest that having such an allied professional in the office is an asset that you won't find in many doctor offices. Finally, when I have had serious issues of concern, he was right on top of them. He didn't hesitate to get me the additional attention that I needed and I remain grateful for that. From the get-go, Emilee was really approachable, kind, and very easy to work with. We started with nutrition sessions, and while I was definitely not eating the most healthy diet, I never felt bad talking about my habits. Emilee's approach is a "sure and steady" way of looking at things. Instead of something drastic we were able to look at my habits and make small, consistent changes over the course of the past year that has served me really well. Plus, nothing is off-limits. Emilee believes in creating a sustainable lifestyle of nutrition and exercise. And I'm more of a "moderation in everything" kinda gal, so I couldn't handle someone telling me there'd be no more, oh, I don't know, fried chicken or champagne or cake. From there, I was also able to add personal strength training with Emilee two days a week. While the sessions are never easy, Emilee is always very mindful about how hard we are working and adjusting my weights or my exercises to have maximum impact on my goals. That day My wife texted telling me she was not feeling well and so I asked to reschedule with Summer just in case due to me possibly having the virus and spreading it to Summer and her spreading it to her clients! I am trying to take the necessary precautions. Summer told me that she would not reschedule! I mean as a business and especially a health trainer I would be concerned that she is willing to put herself in harms way and become a super spreader with her type of employment. Sadly she is not taking this seriously and it's people like that, that we are still fighting this mess because they are not taking the precautions. I've had family pass away from Covid so to me this is serious.
