I'd been to the Erawan in Sandy Springs several times over the year and absolutely loved the food, so while family was in town for the holidays we decided to pop in to this location for dinner. First, the staff is absolutely amazing. We called ahead to see if they could accommodate a table for 10 and they were happy to oblige. We got there and they had a table ready to go and sat us right away. The waitress was so sweet and really took the time to answer questions and crack jokes with us. Truly made us feel at home in their restaurant. The food was chef kiss! We ordered the shrimp tom kha to start and spicy catfish as the main course. Both were delicious and the spice level was just right. The spicy powder and sauce on the table added a little extra for those of us that tend to like a tad more heat. Other orders at the table: drunken noodles, green curry, red snapper, duck, fried rice, and spring rolls. Everything was so good we barely had any left overs at the end of the meal. What a pleasant surprise this locally owned Thai restaurant turned out to be. Erawan Thai in Cumming has quickly become our favorite Thai spot in the area. We met the owner during our visit, and she is incredibly kind and clearly passionate about her food. She personally oversees many of the dishes, and it shows in the quality. Up front, Landon handled our service, and he was excellent... friendly, attentive, and welcoming. He deserves a shoutout for the great service. We ordered gyoza and dumplings to start, and both were very good. The dipping sauce they serve is not the typical soy sauce mix you find at most places; it has a sweeter profile and paired perfectly. I also ordered the chicken Tom Kha soup (it's a coconut base broth) and it was outstanding!!! Earthy, full of chicken and mushrooms, and very flavorful. For entrées, my wife ordered their red curry with veggies and it was so good! Plenty on potats that combined well with the rest of the curry meall and rice, and I tried the drunken noodles. The noodles were cooked perfectly... not mushy, not overdone, but with a great texture and "snap." The portion size was generous enough that I actually had leftovers, which is rare for me. Desserts were another highlight. The mango sticky rice was excellent, very soft and well-balanced. The coconut cake was also fantastic, with a cream-cheese-style icing and a very moist interior. There are several Thai restaurants in this area, but we truly believe this one stands out above the rest. Great food, excellent service, and a warm, welcoming ownership. One important note: Google Maps randomly dropped us off you at the wrong location. The correct spot is in the same shopping center as Papa John's off Peachtree Parkway (address shows 1595 Peachtree Parkway). Highly recommended for anyone in or near Cumming. Solid Thai spot! I got drunken noodles and the mango sticky rice. The drunken noodles had a good texture and was seasoned well. I especially liked the chili sauce to add on to the noodles, as it wasn't spicy enough for me. The mango sticky rice was okay, but the rice wasn't as sticky as I would've liked which threw me off a bit. As for service, the waiters were very attentive and came by to fill our waters often. The interior was also very clean, but there aren't that many tables as it is a smaller space. Overall, it is a great spot for Thai! I think I'll find myself back many times. read more

I came back to try another dish since my last time here 6 month ago. Fried catfish was delicious with the crispy bread. I did not like the fish at first but it's a perfect match the curry. Vegetables of my dish were very fresh. Taste is well-balanced. I'm glad they have spiciness level option, from which I chose Thai Hot. I love it. Service was good. Stopped by here to pick up lunch for Mother's Day and it was packed! I was able to place an order easily online. Plenty of parking out front in the Sharon Springs shopping center, right next to papa John's. It was clean and bright inside with hand sanitizer on each table. It had plenty of booths and some tables for larger parties. I was greeted right away and handed my order once it's ready. Everything was packed nicely and in plastic bag. The soup was good, sour and a bit spice. I love the soft tofu in it. The drunken noodle was packed with vegetables and had a nice flavor. The pad Thai was good too and plenty of chicken in each bite. The hot sauce on the side was sweet and not spicy to me. My mom done at eat spicy and therefore every dish had no spice. Overall, nice flavor for each dish. Gosh did this hit the spot! I can only speak to the food because I ordered on Uber eats. I got the green curry with tofu and veg. I chose American hot for my spice level and it was perfect!!! The spice didn't overwhelm the other flavors in the curry. It was also loaded with veggies and tofu which I'm glad about since you pay for those additions. I would absolutely order from here again. After driving around and around, I decided to stop here, and it turned out to be a great choice. The place is spacious and clean, with modest décor. I was greeted by Yim with a smile, something that, to me, is always a good sign. I ordered from the special lunch menu: Thai curry noodles with chicken, spice level 2. The food was excellent, and even though the "2," meaning medium, turned out to be spicier than I expected, I didn't mind, I ended up eating it all. We ordered five dishes for six of us, chicken Pad Thai, tofu Pad See Ew, whole red snapper, pork Erawan fried rice, and beef green curry. Everything was divine (in the words of my 9 year old)! As per some of the reviews food was a little salty, but oh so delicious and fresh! A new thai place located in Sharon greens complex, Cumming. They are open for dine in. I've noticed the tables being sanitized after each customer. They also have a sanitizer on each table! Lot of options to pick from the menu. The menu doesnt have drinks or desserts listed. They do serve sodas, ask the waiter about the options. The massaman curry is my favorite! You get a solid meal with your order but I tend to finish the whole thing instead of having leftovers. With the other curries, be careful with your spice level even level 2 is pretty hot. The staff are very friendly and I'm happy to help bring them more business. Loveeeee it here! If you're craving Thai, this is the spot. It looks questionable on the outside since it's in a random Kroger plaza, but this is why we say, "don't judge a book by its cover"!! Inside is actually very clean and fancy looking. There's plenty of tables and booths to sit at. I got the Panang curry, green curry, and pad Thai. All of them exceeded my expectations. Seriously. Hands down the best Thai place in the Johns creek/Cumming area. We have ordered takeout a few times from here already and I really appreciate the amount of meat they give in each of the dishes. I've tried the panang curry, red curry, Thai basil fried rice and the pad Thai noodles. Each of the dishes are very fresh and I would recommend a spice level of medium for those that prefer a medium level of spice. The American spicy is definitely on the spicier side so be warned!
