A friend of mine, a talented young artist from Afghanistan, who recently migrated to US, was looking for a studio to have the vocals to one of his songs recorded. I started searching in Orange County area. Unfortunately, no one showed much interest because it was a small project. Everyone I contacted seemed rude. Very disappointing! I started a search in Oceanside since I work in the area and came across Mike. My goodness! Was I lucky to find this beautiful studio and Mike? A breath of fresh air! An amazingly professional recoding studio and engineer beyond my imagination. He got us in the studio within a couple of days and we had the vocals recorded. The studio is beautiful, immaculate and extremely well put together. Within an hour, Mike recorded four different takes of the vocals for the song and emailed us the files while we were there. The music for the song was produced and arranged in Afghanistan. I sent the vocals that were recorded in the ERAVOX Studio to the studio in Afghanistan and they will mix and master the song there. To my surprise, Mike just texted me today, almost three weeks after our session, to see if I had the final product back and that he was wondering how everything turned out. Beyond happy with the experience! So my trio was hired to do an upscale virtual show for a global company where we would be playing for thousands of people from around the world. When we arrived to test signals a couple of days before the show, Mike and his assistant had everything ready- plug and play. That's refreshing as I have been to studios where we arrive and the crew is still trying to "figure things out". And if I may throw in the fact that they offered and gave us water/coffee! Mike Mcconaghy at Eravox studios is the most talented engineer I have met after recording and playing in bands for 20 yrs. I don't trust anyone else to record, edit, and mix my tracks. I play guitar, bass, drums and also sing, write, and produce songs and Mike absolutely nails the tones that I want for every instrument and gets it done in a timely fashion making me sound perfect and of radio quality every single time. Manually editing audio can take a lot of time and cost a lot of money with an engineer that isn't fast and efficient. My 6 year-old son, Donovan, received a kick-ass drum set for Christmas from Santa (AKA Nonna). My former mother-in-law insisted on getting him a real set that he could grow into and finding a great teacher for him to do some weekly lessons. We found Mike here on Yelp and were impressed by all of his 5 star reviews. I quickly set it up for him to come to the house to put together the brand new kit and give Donovan his first lesson. In just the first meeting, I noticed his kind and gentle spirit and positive energy with the kids. Both Donovan and my 8 year-old daughter took to him immediately. He was polite and professional and told me about various ways to muffle the sound of the drums (thank you, Mike). Not only is it apparent that Mike loves what he does, but his true passion for music and teaching comes right through. Trying to get a 6 year-old boy to focus can sometimes be difficult, but Mike is so great at listening and then re-focusing his energy to the task at hand. Donovan has been seeing Mike at his home studio every week for about 2 months now, and I am more impressed every week with Mike's talent and passion! Donovan is getting it!! My daughter is now 9 and we've moved to another state, but she's still getting lessons with Mike via Skype and Teacherzone. She absolutely LOVES her lessons with him and when he said he could still teach her remotely, we were jazzed...her progress has been amazing with him and he really knows how to break complex lessons down for kids.
