Don't waste your money! They will negotiate a fine higher than your ticket and/or just not show up for court.

I know their focused on injury, bankruptcy, and disability - but I've gotten a lot of direction on some other legal work too. Definitely the place to go if you want to avoid one of those large law firms.

Wright. My role was as an accountant and being a supportive boyfriend. My expectation walking in the door was going to be a hard sell to use their services. I was wrong, Prior to the meeting, we had completed their questionnaire. In addition, we brought supporting documentation, credit reports, death certificates, anything that may be needed to support the conversation. In addition, and this was critical to the conversation, was the section of the questionnaire asking what we wanted to achieve out of the meeting. Mr. Wright was very pleasant. We had a pre-prepared list of questions. This was the point I was expecting slippery answers and a hard-sell. I was very surprised when I asked specific questions, I received very specific answers. In addition, Mr. Wright offered additional guidance. As the purpose of bankruptcy inquiry was due to the deceased husbands debts rather than the girlfriends debt, I expressed doubts as to whether filing for a bankruptcy was the proper course of action. Mr. Wright's response was he had doubts whether a bankruptcy filing was the best initial action. Rather, he recommended a specific course of action 1) Pay the HOA fees immediately 2) Ensure the house payments are current 3) Contact a probate attorney to sort through the estate issues 4) Review the results and if needed, then come back to him to file for bankruptcy if we felt bankruptcy action was needed. As I said, I expected no answers, no course of action and just a hard sell. I was pleased, I was shocked, I was floored. I mentioned that the advice we received was more than just an initial consultation and offered to pay for his services, twice. He declined the offer for payment, twice. His only request of us was to use him if we needed a bankruptcy attorney and to refer anyone to him that may need his services. I did him one better. I wrote this review. I would highly recommend Mr. Wright for your legal needs, no bullshit, just good, solid, actionable advice. That being said, if you contact Mr. Wright, go there with your house in order, your questions prepared and like with any professional, respect his time. I really felt he was on our side.

I had extend this gesture first. This attorney was very dismissive, fumbled over the rules of the law and asked me about certain aspects of the law. He had to leave for around 10-15 minutes to go look up laws and then returned with a Google print out of what I should do to file my own case. I was very confused and asked for clarification on his actions. He said that since I had th3 legal plan that he felt he gave me what the plan paid for,l and that if he wanted him to represent me, that it would be " around 300/hr , taking him 5 hours so I would need to pay $1,500. I reiterated that I had already had a judgment in favor and that I wanted him to file a motion on my behalf to the other attorney. As a physician assistant of over 20 years, and professional, please save yourself the trouble or this particular attorney who's demeanor obviously states, "I'm not happy with my life right now" and google what he will do for your case. I should also mention that we drove up at the same time for my consult and I observed his demeanor in the car before I got out. I should have followed my first mind and drove off. You've been warned!

He sat in my living room 2 years ago and spoke with in detail my now deceased stepdad. Today his "secretary" who is also rude and unprofessional called me to ask to speak with my deceased stepdad because she was unable to contact him to tell him his house was up for auction. I asked her where she gets her information and she should know that she's calling the wrong person, especially since this office has represented multiple family members, mind you she was the one answering phones, at all occasions. She continues to press me for information in order to state in her accent "Mr Downing told me to call to tell you (I'm not the person she asked to speak too, as she fumbles her words) your house is up for auction". I hang up. I call back and ask to speak with Mr Downing (son) and the secretary proceeds to tell me ( I hear her being directed in the background) He no longer represents you he'll need $100 to speak with you. Tell me what was the purpose of calling me if that was going to be the response? I find the entire encounter despicable, unprofessional and plain sad. I will be reporting him to the office he answers too and writing more reviews concerning. My overall experience with him was mostly negative and unprofessional. He sits in his office and yells what he is not going to do. He's a bully and a disgraceful person. I will never recommend him to anyone again.

PARTIAL, refund of the $450 they essentially stole from me if I take the review down. Please, PLEASE, if you're reading this and desperate enough to file a bankruptcy to save your property, please seek alternative representation. These guys are straight up EVIL to their core. ORIGINAL REVIEW TEXT FOLLOWS- I would highly suggest anyone in a desperate situation to avoid this place like a plague. Their consultant told me that their retainer was 1500. A bit steep, but fine. Still, I told the consultant I didn't have that kind of saved up cash since, you know, I was considering bankruptcy and all. Then he said they'd put me on a payment plan and so long as I stayed on that plan, they would help me save my house. Obviously it's stressful to be in this situation and I was happy to hear them be willing to help. So I go on the payment plan. Then the date of foreclosure comes up and they call to say there will be no help unless I can pay off the retainer balance. Again, was told I could keep on the payment plan and be helped. I live on a small disability check, and in this economy the ability to save when I've just lost a parent and had to use all available extra funds to put them to rest means I am struggling. Like, you know, bankrupt people do. Like I told the consultant during our phone interview (they couldn't even fit me in a visit to an office). So they pull the rug and cancel me as a client. Fine, but will I get the $450 they charged me already on the payment plan back? The lady who cancelled me said I would. Then they call and hem and haw about policy and retainer agreement. These people are EVIL. Taking advantage of the most vulnerable folks who just want to not lose a HOUSE THAT I OWN with no mortgage. Just a little bit behind on taxes. Not 10 years behind, a year and a half behind. Because I was caring for my sick dying mother and dad didn't leave enough for her to die peacefully with. So I stepped up and was the dutiful son. And yeah, money got tight and I got behind, now I need a lifeline. And instead of a lifeline I got thrown an anchor. And on that anchor was stamped "ALLMAND LAW".

I needed a new car for work and gave them paperwork only for them to submit it a week later. To whoever is reading this from Allmand Law your feedbacks means nothing because I know you'll not make any changes.
