I attended a Quinceañera here last summer, invited by a friend whose family had their event. I helped out, but the owner of the place was super rude from start to finish. The owner showed no respect towards those involved in the event. The only way she knows how to get her point across is by threatening to cancel the party and call the cops if things don't go her way. She'll give you attitude, even if you haven't done anything to her. I would not recommend this place for having any events. read more

I attended my first Quinceanera even here last night and it was such an amazing experience. This venue is a bit on the smaller size compare to other venues I have been to, however, it provided a very comfortable and homey feel. It didn't feel overcrowded at all for being in a Hall with around 200 people. There were central AC so it was not hot at all. I came to talk about my experience here, I came to this hall for my daughters quince. They are very unreasonable and disrespectful. I genuinely liked the hall, it was pretty and beautiful but just the owners were so disrespectful. I don't recommend, I feel bad for my daughter because she liked the hall and was so happy until they were being disrespectful to her that now we have to find a new hall. They were trying to overcharge me, we had already agreed on a place and after they kept trying to say a whole different price. Don't come to this hall. I rented out their smaller lounge last January to have a private party of about 45 guest to celebrate my birthday. Months after my party friends asked me details about how to rent it out for their bday because the venue was memorable. I was required to put down a deposit, I brought my own dj but they will provide one if you like. I bought a nice amount of drink tickets and appetizers for my guest but also my guests bought many drinks off their bar which is what they mostly require to happen in order for your event to continue throughout the night and therefor the party lasted until 2am. Oh and they have a pretty nice size parking lot which is a plus. The staff is nice, I would highly recommend it read more

The Epoca Hall is absolutely amazing! I had my wedding reception here and everything was absolutely beautiful:) We had the chicken and beef fajitas ( with beans,rice, and salad) they were delicious. My family is really picky with food and they had nothing but good comments about the food. The dressing they use for the salad is to die for. The place itself is incredibly elegant and reasonably priced. The waiters were extremely helpful and professional and the bartender was great! The only person that was annoying was the security, but he had to ( to do his job). The waiters did an awesome job of serving cider quickly for the toast, and were quick with the cutting of the cake. Epoca did an amazing job of making our wedding day beyond of what we imagined. I definitely recommend for weddings, quinces, or baptisms. read more

Outstanding! The service is beyond great, the owner is quite friendly and willing to talk to customers. Our annual banquet was catered by Epoca, and all I could hear from our audience was how much they enjoyed the plate. Our order included Beef Portbello, Chicken mariana, pasta alfredo, salad, veggies, and bread. I tried the Beef Portbello myself and couldn't put it down! I live a little off the way from the restaurant but whenever I travel to the area I'll make sure to stop by Epoca Restaurant again--it's THAT good! read more

I wouldn't recommended the food at this place if you're renting it out for a banquet night. Given its location, the interior of this restaurant is pretty standard, however the banquet room is amazing. It looked like we were in a freaking wedding reception. It had mirrors lining all along the walls and ribbons tied to each white chair; It was very beautiful. However, the food..not so much. I give it one star for the decorations and interior design, and another star for mediocre service (the servers were very polite and nice). The food was not on par with their beautifully decorated halls. We had the cheese macaroni which had a gummy texture to it. I think they had prepared so many plates in advanced that they left it sitting out for too long. The tri-tip was ok, it wasn't like the best I've tried and it was rather simple in its flavors. They also had a chicken breast which didn't look appealing at all. The vegetables looked very simple..and they didn't bother cooking all the vegetables properly. Overall, our plates looked like it was prepared by a college dining hall. Our dessert was sliced cantaloupe and honeydew melon with chocolate syrup. Originally I thought it looked like balsamic which probably would have tasted better than with the chocolate syrup. There was an open soda bar which I thought was kind of cute..but the soda was terribly watered down and just ended up tasting like carbonated lemon water...the bar looked kind of sad too. Not coming back here..and the area seems a little sketch to me. I'm sure the restaurant food was probably better since it comes out fresh, but for banquets, the food didn't measure up. read more

The "Whoohoo! As good as it gets!" is sooo true for this beautiful diamond in the rough!!! My friends and I are always looking for good places to have dinner and some drinks. We had heard of this place through a co-worker and to be honest, we were skeptical to say the least. But boy.....Were we wrong!!!! It was one of the best dining experiences we've had in a very long time. The ambiance is wonderful! It is by far the nicest place in that region and in Bell for that matter. There is a long brick wall on one side of the restaurant, which makes it feel very warm and welcoming; the other side is very chic and contemporary. We started out with some drinks, and the waitress suggested the "blueberry martini" and the"city councilman margarita" (which was very fitting). Being the adventurous girls we are, we said, "what the heck" and it turned out to be the drinks of the night. We all ended up ordering multiple rounds. Hahaha. As for dinner, we started out with some appetizers (calamari and mozzarella logs) followed by the salmon for dinner. All I can say is wow! They cooked the fish just the way I like it. Their portions were so big that I had no room for dessert. At their prices.... anyone can afford a 3 course meal. So bring your appetites or expect to take a doggie bag home like I did. YOU MUST TRY EPOCA! YOU MUST TRY EPOCA! I was at Epoca for a late night dinner and drinks with my girlfriends last night and LOVED it so much that I returned again tonight with my family. When I first entered I was blown away by how nice it is inside (considering the surrounding area). I definitely was not expecting something this nice in this city. The place has a beautiful bar and a really cool lounge-type back room. The decor is elegant and chic yet very warm and welcoming. The staff was extremely helpful and the owner (who, by the way, is very attractive) was very attentive and friendly. Last night there was a pretty mixed group of patrons in the restaurant and the ambiance was great! I grabbed a drink at the bar while I waited for my girlfriends to arrive. I ordered the "city councilman margarita" which the drink menu warned, "Beware this one might bite you." Hahaha! It was delicious!!!! It's a margarita with a touch of habanero chile. It's an interesting yet pleasant experience for your taste buds. But, what made this drink even better was that it was so inexpensive. I have NEVER paid less than $10 for a specialty cocktail so at $6.75 each I ordered two! Whooo hoooo! The other cocktail I had was the Romero Salvaje....also so so so yummy. I have never had a cocktail with rosemary before. It was really good. With the drinks alone I would have walked out a satisfied customer but now I must tell you about the food... As soon as you're seated you're served yummy warm seasoned bread. We ordered mozzarella logs, and calamari as appetizers, no complaints. For my entree I ordered the eggplant panini. I really should use a thesaurus because I am starting to sound redundant by saying "delicious" so much...but OMG...it was delicious!!! And, it was HUGE!!! (I had the other half for lunch today) I also ordered a rosemary lemonade which they brew fresh at the restaurant. One of my friends ordered fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp, she loved it and took more than half of it home because the portion was so large. Another friend ordered the tuna melt; she also took half home. Someone in my party could not stop raving about the Almadine chicken salad. I had a great experience! I was dying go back again so I invited my family to dinner tonight. Again, the staff was warm and friendly, and the cute owner stopped by our table to check on us. Let me tell you that tonight my high expectations were met!!! Cocktail: Side Car martini- really liked it. Entree: Pan Fried Pommery Chicken-loved it! The chicken had a dijon mustard-type sauce and capers. I have never had anything like it. Again, the portions were HUGE so I have lunch for tomorrow again. Everyone in my family really enjoyed their food. Here's what we ate: Pesto fettuccine, Tina Tequila Chicken, Basil linguini, calamari, spinach artichoke dip and of course a bunch of the complimentary seasoned bread. My little brother ordered a hot chocolate for dinner and he said it was the best hot chocolate he's ever had! Haha! The restaurant has a fancy coffee/cappucino/chai tea/anything hot and delicious machine. Dessert time: New York cheese cake garnished with chocolate sauce, raspberry sauce and giant fresh strawberries that are cut into shapes of flowers! Again, another wonderful night. As a side note I'd like to add that I am ALWAYS dieting....but my diet is worth throwing out the window for this place! I highly recommend checking this place out. I just had my wedding there last Saturday and it was great the waiters and the security were great!!! I received great compliments from everyone that attended my wedding on the food and the service they received!!! And free valet parking was a plus!!! The only bad thing was the bar that they kept charging everyone for the drinks that I had already paid for...that's why I took of a star but besides that it was great!!! well...i really don't have a thesis statement with me so i'll just get to the point. i woke-up today to the sound of a text telling me to head out to epoca. the text read "5.99 specials!" the place is real clean, but clean restaurants don't always tell the whole story but in this case it did. as i walked in, i noticed the decor. nothing over the top, nothing really superlative, nothing cheeky, just classy. i approached the bartender/server/bus-boy, i think his name was nehemias, and asked him about the menu. he recommended the chicken parmesan with pasta. i ordered it. he brought out two warm loaves of bread smothered in garlic and parmesan cheese. 10 minutes later my food was ready. the food was great, but the most remarkable thing was the fact that i was eating in bell. i haven't heard of any genuinely good italian restaurants around the area. they also have a great happy hour. overall the place has a good vibe, the clientele is still growing since they opened about a month ago but i have no doubt that this place will be a hit. read more

Served up by my man Alex the number one mixologist in Bell! This place is not something you would expect in Bell. Not to talk smack but come on it's Bell! The food is very well seasoned and prepared. Try the stuffed chicken breast you won't be disappointed. Their bread is amazing! My girl had the raspberry martini made with fresh raspberries, that was really good! Prices are unbeatable... This is my first yelp review and I had to do let the world know about Epoca! I came to Epoca with a couple of buddies and we were all blown away with the scenery that we encountered as we walked through the front. It was a mixture of elegance and rustic. The waiter was very attentive and honored any request we had. Assuming that the plates were going to be small because of the cheap cost I ordered two. As a salad I ordered the Balsamic Chicken Vinaigrette and as a main course I ordered the Brandied Peppermint Steak. Oh Boy! The salad was absolutely amazing, the combination of the warm cut chicken being mixed with raisins and cold fresh lettuce absolutely dazzled me. I was full off the salad when my main course came. The Brandied Peppermint Steak was one another level. I have gone to many restaurants and ordered steak countless times, but this steak was unlike any other. Now I'm not a big fan of taking food home from a restaurant but I had to make an exception with theis steak. As my group finished eating and received the bill we were astonished by how cheap it all was!!! This restaurant is a must go too restaurant. My group of 4 will be returning very soon have promised to become loyal customers of Epoca. read more

I had a great experience at Epoca. This restaurant came highly recommended by a friend a couple of weeks ago. It's out of the way for me but I finally had a chance to check it out. I went on a date with my boyfriend and we had a wonderful time. It's cozy yet cool. The lights were dimmed and there were candles on all of the tables. The staff is very helpful and was able to recommend some great dishes: Fra' Diavola Panini and the Baked Balsamic Chicken Salad. Both were delicious. The salad was huge! I know it's hard to believe but the salad can definitely be shared. We didn't order appetizers because we were served warm seasoned bread. They re-fill the bread so we just ate that with some oil and vinegar. The server also recommend the City Councilmen Margarita. It's definitely a different twist on a margarita (it's spicy), but in good way! I had two! We were there on a Saturday night and there was live music: classic ballads/trio type music. I believe they have live music on both Friday and Saturday nights. All in all, we had a really good time. Although it's kind of far, we will be returning. read more

This a great restaurant to visit. I work Next door to them and i usually visit for Happy Hour the drinks are amazingly pretty cheap and is a two for one on any drink of your choice. (3pm- 7pm) which always feels good after a long day at work. The food is pretty good too so would i tell you to visit this location i would have to say "yes". Well back to the Epoca, once you step in that restaurant all i can say is all your stress and anxieties are being release and when you walk at that moment, trust me you'll forget you in Bell, Ca. The environment is awesome it has a mature, youth, relaxing and family sense of feeling. This restaurant is for couples, friends hanging out, or family is having their family time, and enjoying the most awesome food I have taste in that City believe me, I been to many restaurants city. I just want to say there menu selections are for all kinds of taste buds. For all vegetarian lovers you have to try there egg plant dishes and, for all you crab lovers the pesto pasta dish is so divine that the last time is had such great quality pasta was in Sicily and in Anaheim, Ca at a restaurant called Mama Cuisine Restaurant. There pesto sauce is so divine I just could not stop eating it. And, for all you meat lovers there are dishes from sea food, to beef and to poultry. I also had the TINA'S TEQUILA CHICKEN its an" Open-flamed grilled, tequila-lime marinated chicken breast, served with our own secret cilantro pesto sauce and sprinkled with imported feta cheese. Let me just say I am not a bell pepper grilled or stir-fry person I like bell pepper raw like on salads or sandwiches, but for me to eat four of them and say this is good, that just said it all. You have to try this dish and you can either have it with rice or mash potato I like mash-potatoes like the fact homemade and herby and not to soft or not to hard just write and when you try it with the sauce in it wow you know what I mean about delicious. Great food, good service! What a great new restaurant in the City of Bell. The food was amazing! I tried the mediterranean appetizer, great tapenade, hummus and tomatoes. For my main course, I had the penne pasta with pesto sauce, WOW. The food had such flavor and the portions were huge. Great atmosphere as well- they had live music that made me want to stick around and have a drink or two.
