I called about twice a day for a week and was never received. So I decided to send them an email informing them I wanted to make an appointment- never got a reply. I even went to their location during their posted open hours but they had a paper sign saying they closed early. The owner, Asmi, at Episkinz Salon is wonderful. She's friendly and kind hearted. Nazia and Linda really make you feel welcome with their friendly smiles every time you walk in the door. The ladies are quick to offer some coffee and treats (cookies, bread, etc.) at arrival. I've been to Episkinz a few times (about 6) for a microderm facial. Every time I've come in, Asmi has been the one that takes care of me. I've have nothing less than an excellent experience. Her facials are amazing! I have struggled with acne all my life, but with Asmi's help, I have been able to see major improvements to my skin including no more acne. All the ladies here are amazing at what they do. I called Episkinz at about 9:00am and I was able to get a same day appointment for my friend and I at 1:30pm which was great! We booked a "60 Minute Anti-Aging AHA Rapid Exfoliator Facial." We both arrived on time and they took my friend in at exactly 1:30 to the dot and I waited in the seating area until about 1:50. I was filling out a questionnaire which to my opinion asked too many unnecessary questions. Finally at 1:50 I got called into a room where I undressed and put on a Tube Robe. The Facial specialist came in and began my facial. She began putting creams on my face and letting them set in. Then she would wipe it down with a hot towel. Then she would put more product on my face and wipe it down. It was the repetitive same process the entire time. As I tried to relax and began telling me about the current "Christmas Specials" they have going on. She was trying to sell me on packages, and talking about prices on different services they offer, as well as Christmas specials. AHHHHHH, I just wanted to relax. This is a terrible way of making a client enjoy a facial. The way I look at it is, I was more than capable of researching facial prices and I was able to book one the first time, so clearly if I need a different service I will ask. I have to say that this facial personally was a waste of time and money for me. They do not use any steam, no facial tools, no extraction... nothing but cream rubbing on your face which I can do at home with my own expensive products. I did not see a difference on my face afterwards at all. So like I mentioned, I went in at 1:50pm and my facial was over at 1:28pm!! Total= 38 minutes My friend went in at 1:30pm and she got out at 1:36pm Total= 1 hour SERIOUSLY?? Not only did her facial actually last 60 minutes LIKE WE PAID FOR, but she said that the woman who did her facial massaged her face and did extraction on her. This was really upsetting to say the least. Absolutely no consistency. Why were we both treated differently? I do not recommend this place to anyone! I will never return. Consistency is sooo important in a business. Everyone needs to be on the same page. Despite everything, I still left her a $10 dollar tip, but I will never return! read more

I recently went to see Asmi for a facial. I had a crazy week and needed to reschedule. She was able to accommodate me in such a short notice. Upon arrival, you are asked to fill out a form to make sure they are aware of your skin condition and allergies. Asmi then ushers you to the room where she will do the treatment. She goes over the form to make sure she understands your skin condition and discuss any allergy you might have. Once done, she starts the treatment. The facial: I had a microdermabrasion on the face and Asmi was nice enough to treat the neck as well. She also takes time to get to know your skin and does not rush. My skin was so soft after! I was also happy to get a free shoulder massage along with the facial, thanks Asmi! I cant wait to be back for my next treatments! read more

I came here, like everyone else, because of the great Groupon deal. I got the haircut and partial highlights and the mani pedi package. I was worried I wasn't going to get an appointment since I called in 24 hours. But I got one with ease! I was so happy! I came in early because I was worried I'd get stuck in traffic and they brought me in right away. So it was Asmi, Nazia, and Teresa. Teresa was the one who did my nails and hair. Asmi was wonderful and offered me food while I was getting my hair done. And Nazia was pleasant and polite, offering advice about what color my highlights should be. I am VERY pleased with the results! Normally beauty salons would sell you their hair care products for double the price. Not this salon! I bought a hair oil to keep my hair smooth and healthy for $15! Not bad! I DEFINITELY recommend this place!! My Experience: This place is absolutely beautiful! The services provided are PHENOMENAL. BUT... Upon arriving, I was greeted, seated, and served tea by the owner (SO LOVELY). I came in for a mani & pedi service I had bought on Groupon. I called a week in advanced and was scheduled without any issues. The employees/owner were beyond polite and super accomodating which i really appreciated. The ambiance is definitely modern and relaxing. I enjoyed the 3hrs I spent there for sure! An issue I have with my service is the fact that the establishment does not provide properly branded nail polish. The nail tech had to bring her own home nail polishes to work and they were very cheap and most likely old. There is also a VERY limited selection. I wish the owner will fix this issue due to quality and standard the owner holds her beautiful establishment. Now, I would rate this place 5 stars, but just couldn't because of the manicure and pedicure outcome I received. Teresa was my nail tech and was lovely! Her communication skills and mannerisms were amazing! Now, my only issue is the end result I received on both my mani & pedi. I chose a very neutral off-white nail polish. These colors are very milky and hard to apply evenly in 2 coats. Well as a result of choosing a color that's hard for nail techs to pull off and apply evenly, I noticed Teresa applying coat after coat after coat to obtain full color opacity. I have 5 coats on each nail!? This resulted in my nails constantly getting ruined due to the thickness of nail polish I had applied onto my nails (I knew I should've said something, but is was her work not mine after all). Another issue I had was her shaping of my nails. I had to repeatedly ask for a correction or completely reshape my nails to get even and straight shaped nails. She of course complied and fixed it, but do I (the customer) really have to guide the nail tech constantly? I think not. My big toes came out uneven and crooked. I asked Teresa to fix my nails every time they smeared or smudged off (because of the polish thickness) and she was very professional about it. I was sitting for at least a good hour out of the 3 for my nails to dry in front of a big fan and left THINKING my nails were fine after Teresa checked them and gave me the "okay" to go since she too thought they were dry. Well they weren't dried. In fact the nail polish kept getting dents which resulted in a very dissatisfied mani & pedi customer... Now, I have an event to go to tomorrow with sub-par nails. This establishment pulls of a very pleasing aesthetic, and to have this be my first experience really doesn't feel right. I guess this place is more of a hair and facial type of establishment, because after all, the nail section is pushed off to a side. I hope this review emulates a change for the better so the next mani & pedi customer doesn't leave dissatisfied. :) Update during same day: I ended up taking off all of my nail Polish due to the fact that the Polish actually NEVER DRIED. I am now completely dissatisfied with my results. read more

When I walked in the door, I really liked the vibe of the place. It looked very professional and I was taken care of immediately. When I got in the facial room, everything was laid out ready for me. The room was clean and well organized. Since this was my first treatment, Asmi walked me through the process and explained every thing to me. I was well-informed of the procedure. She answered all the questions I had. There was relaxing music playing in the background. Overall, I really enjoyed my facial experience. Found out I was less than 5 minutes from this place due to a Groupon coupon. I was highly in pressed with the modern and clean atmosphere. The owner and the employees make you feel more than at home. They started by accommodating me by fitting me into there schedule even though they normally take appointments. Which worked out perfectly in my day of errand running. When I came back to my scheduled time I was immediately helped and offered a home made sand which (which was delicious). The time and care that was taken is something that iv never seen anywhere else in the many salons iv tried in anaheim. If there was ever a place you wanted to find quality work and the best customer service I recommend coming here. The woman from Brazil who not only does nail but hair as well specializes in braiding and can do any hairstyle you request. I was a Esthetician at Episkinz for about a month. My first day the salon and spa owner (licensed esthetician herself) Amsi asked me to do a arm wax. I said of course, I walked in and saw there was only one spatula. I asked her for more and she told me it's okay to double dip but she got me more spatulas anyway. The wax pot and supplies are disgusting. She had skin care products that were EXPIRED. One even from 2014! That she used on clients!!!! Please do not come here for a facial or a wax!!! I came to know this place from Groupon.So I made appointment for my mani/pedi.The girl who did my nails is very good and knows what she's doing( shes the only worker at the time beside the owner.the owner was nice until my son came to the salon asking for keys because he lock himself out so he has to drive down where i am to get the house key but my son didnt know exactly where i was so i have to step outside for 5 seconds to see if he saw me by the parking lot and i overheard the owner telling the girl who does my nail to get going so she wont be late for another customer(OMG I'd only step out for 5 second and she made a big deal).if it wasnt for the gorl who did my nails i wouldnt come back.the star is for the girl who did my nails NOT the owner. read more
