Very positive experience! I booked through classpass. I've only had one facial before ever but from what I remembered my skin looked amazing after and I get classpass for free from my job so I wanted to try one again. Glad I did! This is Edmy's business, I think she does all the appointments herself, and she is clearly a very talented practitioner. I personally don't actually love having someone touching and poking at my face, but Edmy's expertise made it only modestly uncomfortable and she did a nice job of distracting me by chatting pleasantly throughout the procedure, and before and after the uncomfortable parts there were nice relaxing parts making it more tolerable. And when it was done she really did somehow get rid of the tiny bumps on my face, I didn't even know that was possible. Before coming to this salon I did my research and noticed that Epidedmy Skin Care had great reviews and Groupon also had a promotion, so why not? I've never had eye lash extensions before so I was a bit skeptical on coming here. I got my first session about 5 weeks ago. When I got to the salon, I had to read over a form on how much to tip (which was odd because I was going to tip anyways so idk if she's working for tips?) Edmy mentioned that her clients don't come that often for a refill since the eye lashes she uses last for a long time. Truth be told - my lashes did last for 5 weeks but of course only half of the set for both eyes was still there. I wish I came back within 3-4 weeks. I felt like I looked crazy with uneven lashes. I did try to call and even looked online to reschedule but I couldn't get a hold on Edmy so I just waited to see her on my original appointment. At the first session: I loved the outcome of my lashes and we had a great conversation. However, when the session was over she immediately asked me how I was going to tip her.. cash or credit card. That was a turn off, it felt like we had a bond then all of the sudden it became money talk. I was also surprise that for my first time getting lashes it was roughly 50 minutes and online it said at least 1 hour & 30 minutes. Today, I finally went back - it took less than 35-40 minutes for my refill. The outcome of the lashes looked amazing and she didn't ask for tips immediately. The worst customer service that I have ever experienced, maybe in my life. A full service charge for having to reschedule due to sickness. (Not a very common policy in general particularly during these times--Covid, economy, etc. But her policy is her policy and she is upfront about there being no circumstances where the full price of service (even if not provided) would be refunded, not even partially. Fine. It is what it is. Gotta move on, right? So...I did. But to then have to write four text messages and three emails in an attempt to reschedule and recoup the "lost" money is outrageous, particularly when the response, which finally came in after the 5th text and 4th email, is seemingly cold, impatient, bothered, and unprofessional. Oh, by the way, she explained that she lost money due to my "sickness" because she had to pay an RN for the appointment however, I know exactly what she pays nurses to draw blood and let me tell you it is NOT $500/patient. In the end, I decided to not rebook my appointment but instead asked to receive four gift certificates instead, which I plan to give to four homeless people from the square, whom I hope will receive the best care possible, far better than what I received. The "full set" was very minimal and had absolutely NO volume. I STILL looked like I needed mascara but was told I couldn't put it on or the lashes would fall out. Even so, they lasted only 2 weeks until every lash except 2 came out. After going to a new place the technician was shocked as the lashes she had been using were volume lashes but applied poorly and minimally. She also said she used way too much glue. When I washed my face this morning, I could swear that my skin hadn't felt this smooth since adolescent hormones started wreaking havoc on my face (for context, that was the last time high-waisted jeans were popular. WHY ARE WE MAKING THAT MISTAKE AGAIN???) I used my anti-aging service package Groupon with Epidedmy yesterday, and for my first skincare service in Philadelphia, I was very impressed. The package consisted of a facial, microdermabrasian, lip exfoliation and LED light therapy. I'm going to be honest - the facial didn't really blow me away, it was more just cleaning the makeup off my face combined with a light massage, to prep for the microdermabrasian. THAT was great though. I got a microdermabrasian once before at a different place, maybe 6 years ago, and this was completely different, in all the good ways. The equipment had both that exfoliating effect that I expected as well as a strong suction that made it feel like the impurities were just being vacuumed from my skin - it really felt like it was doing something. Which isn't to say it felt lovely, but it's not supposed to. We all know beauty is pain! But Edmy gives a GREAT, really relaxing massage right after which is supposed to have the benefits of stimulating blood flow and invigorating the skin. I can't be sure about the effectiveness of the LED light therapy just because I don't have a real frame of reference, plus I figure you have to do several sessions before you really see results. The overall treatment though, I definitely saw the improvement in my skin texture. I think she may be great at other skin treatments, and it seems like all the other reviews on here refer to lashes or brows or facials. As far as waxing goes, stay away. I know that there are Groupon promotions going on for this place for bikini waxes and Brazilians, so I feel the need to warn people. (Full disclosure, I paid the full $50 price for mine + 20% tip.) I just finished a Brazilian here, and it was terrible. Let's start with the fact that it was entirely incomplete. I came back and inspected, and it was as if she hadn't even touched the lower regions. We're talking full-length-hair-untouched. I had to come home and do another DIY clean up session for myself, which is absurd and mildly humiliating. What did I just fork over $60 for? What makes it better - she told me before she left the room that oh, there are still some short hairs there because they "weren't ready to come out, because hair has different growth stages." Cool, makes sense and I get it. But I'm pretty sure the patches of long hairs that you left were definitely ready to come out, aka, that's why I'm here. Second, my hair follicles on the upper regions are bleeding. Yes, BLEEDING. I've never ever had that happen to me before. I'm not a super regular, militant waxer, but still, nobody, no matter how much time has elapsed between waxes, has ever, ever made me bleed. Third, she was not remotely meticulous/professional at all. Very harried and rushed the whole time. I don't know if she was trying to get to the person waiting behind me or what, but I came on time to my appointment. I expect you to take your time and devote the time I pay for to the service I pay for. Anyways, again, her other skin services might be fine (or maybe not) but avoid the inevitable trauma that she will inflict on your nether regions. Don't buy the Groupon! Ive gotten lash extensions and refils  like 4-5 times now and i must say that i regret not knowing sooner.. I mean i knew about them i was just so spectical about losing lashes and getting the wrong inexperienced esthetician etc. blah blah.  Long story short! Im a type a person who literally wear lashes everyday, my lash extentions done by the one and only esthetician i trust Edmy, she literally saves me from doing an extra step in my morning routine and my lashes have and will always be looking good. Like I'll wake up and i would flutter them at my bf xD. People will get scared of all the negatives they read up online about (like me before); "losing eyelashes", "not good for your eyes", "too expensive" "cheap products" but really Edmy tells you how it is, how to keep them lasting longer too. The longest ive had my lashes was 7 WEEKS. Almost two months!! Standard time is 3-6 weeks but this went beyond 6 weeks because i listened to her. First couple times was a little less but that was just getting use to them.  If you really just follow what she says (like i should have in the beginning) and thats to avoid picking, touching it, and sleeping a certain way: it has honestly helped my bad habits of sleeping on my face too. Ive literally get less break outs now because of it. Im just glad I've came across Edmy, she's very nice, professional and experienced esthetician and most importantly honest, you will know what to expect if you just follow her words. I moved to Philly a few months ago and tried at least 4 different waxing salons until I found Edmy. She's by far the best! She's friendly, very professional and talented, knowledgeable of her area of work, reliable and very easy book (although she has a lot of regulars like me so she books fast!). I am a regular waxer (Brazilian & eyebrow) and have tried all kinds of waxing techniques and Wax (sugar, hot, cold, etc). Edmy's technique and products are of very high quality and in the 4 months I've been going to her I've noticed a significant change. My hair is growing thinner, no more in-grown hairs and it's taking longer to grow back. I'm not sure why you responded again 6 months after my disaster with you; ( and saying the same thing); and I was going to let it go; but I did not bathe or workout for 24 hours and used the $40.00 mascara ( available on amazon for $15.00) that you sold me. Since that disaster, I have been going elsewhere and very happy with my extensions that remain affixed to my eyes for at least three weeks. They do take an hour and a half as opposed to your half hour. Time well spent! read more
