We booked a month or so out and when I got a fluke head cold, the staff graciously allowed us to reschedule (despite the policy shown on their website). Awesome and thank you! The drive from Lakewood was quick and when we arrived, there weren't too many other trekkers to share the course with. That said, the course is huge and even with others filtering in throughout the day, it didn't seem crowded. The course is multi-leveled and offers varying difficulties. Green is the least difficult; blue is moderate and black is the most challenging. These are all aerial challenges and you're harnessed in at all times. Even so, though, this is def a mind game as well as the physical element of each challenge. This is a half day experience and we'd recommend bringing a cooler with lunch with you, so that you can take a break mid day, rest your bones and mind, have some grub and then go again. There aren't any food options at the course itself, but they do welcome outside food. There are several flat lander activities to occupy your time while you have lunch / break and watch others testing their physical and mental capacities above you (corn hole, for example). We had a blast and even ventured to the highest level and completed a few of the challenges there. On the fourth level, I imagine we were 50+ feet high in the sky. The winds were significant. Holy cow. It was all terrifyingly fun! We didn't take many pictures as anything you brought with you on the course was at your own risk. There are cubbies on the ground level to keep your belongings as well as water to refresh you. Staff are peppered everywhere to monitor safety but not intrusive. Definitely take a look at their website. It was so work the $49 regular price and I often see Groupons advertised. Def go! read more

Seeking out something different to do on a summer day Carrie J. and I took our men down to Castle Rock to check out the Epic Sky Trek this past weekend. Turns out they just opened 3 weeks ago! Here's the highlights of this shiny new business: + At $49 a person it can seem pricey, but that cost is for all day. So stay as long as you'd like and take advantage of it! + There's 113 different obstacle runs to do ranging from basic to "Ninja Warrior" status; just do what your comfortable with and don't do what you aren't. + Some of the obstacles are pretty darn creative! + Even as the day wore on, and people started arriving, we didn't feel crowded or rushed. There's definitely plenty of space for groups. + Great views from the top deck! - They don't have much signage around the park directing you where to go. I suggest parking at the lot past the mini incline and walking up the dirt trail to the Epic Sky Trek tower. - No real place to put water bottles or anything you bring with you to the trek. - The "clip-in" system is appreciated and for your safety, but even some of the exit platforms down on the ground level don't have the right key to release you. - Just seemed like some of the "guides" lacked personality or enthusiasm. I get that you are saying the same things over and over all day, but try and make it fun for the patrons. It's a new business and it wasn't a bad experience by any means. Yet not an experience that makes me want to rush back and have another go at it. I recommend booking online and doing all your waivers online too. It saved some time when we got there, so we could just get our Epic Sky Trek adventure started! read more

-My friends and I had a blast here during Covid. -I think it's so worth the money. -Cameras are allowed at your own risk! (I brought a fanny pack) -they don't have locked storage so you can take your chance in the open cubbies, leave in car, or carry on you. -We did not wear masks at the time since we were doing courses away from other people. -the course is self directing but there are workers spread across the course in case you need help. -one of the workers was really helpful on the course. Sometimes if we were nervous he would show us how to do it and even demonstrate "falling" to show how trustworthy the harnesses are. -It was windy at the top level so maybe bring layers. -each challenge has markers to show the difficulty level. -we spent about 2.5 hrs going through all three levels and were adequately tired after. -highly recommend! read more

Very horrible experience. to start, overpriced wayyyy over what it's worth. We then asked how they disinfect the course and they said "the sun" and laughed. They were not serious about COVID or any precautions they need to take. Second, and this reason alone should shut the entire place down, one of the obstacles had broken and there were sharp pieces of wood poking out. Epic Sky Trek - Epic fun! - Challenge Courses Near Me - Castle Rock, Colorado

Super disappointed by this adventure that should have been the highlight for our summer vacation. We had a party of 5, ranging from 13-45 with a variety of fitness levels. We completed a Class 2/3 white water rafting adventure and a 2 hour hike the two days prior, so we are not complete couch bums. However, this course was painful and the entire group hated it. We left after giving it 1.5 hours of effort and spent time on all three levels. Pros - the gear is nice and fairly new still. The waiting area has lots of chairs and cubbies and the staff was friendly and helpful getting us checked in and outfitted. When you arrive you pretty much get to head up on your own after getting your harness on and learning how to operate the clips. Cons - if you are short (four of us were between 5'1" and 5'5") then you will not be able to complete many obstacles unless you are an elite athlete. Too many obstacles were too high to reach or too difficult to cross if you fell or didn't have the arm strength to maneuver. I never saw staff on the top (Level 3), and only once on Level 2 when a member of our party fell on the monkey bars and couldn't use the safety rope because it was too far below the harness distance. I saw him later rescuing a young boy crying on a platform, something multiple people were doing in the short time we were there. I've been to a ropes course before and never saw anyone crying from despair, pain or inability to complete an obstacle. Whomever created these obstacles did not make it with various heights or levels in mind. It was so brutal most of our party quit early and we left dejected. Another major complaint is the amount of time spent clipping in and out everywhere you go. They have a neat system that makes it easy for them to not have staff on the complex, so don't expect a lot of help from the Epic Sky team. On the other hand you spend about half to a third of your time clipping from one spot to the next and waiting on other people to move around you. If you're going to prepare for American ninja warriors or spartan races this is the place to go. If you want an enjoyable adventure for all members of your party pick something else. I gave it a 2 Star because it exists and the concept is cool, but the execution was horrendous. read more

This by far probably is the best bang for your buck for family fun in the Denver area! I spent all morning on labor day Monday there with my wife and 2 adult sons. We had an amazing time! The whole staff especially Tiffany and Nick, made this place very enjoyable and a fantastic experience for all us. The degree of difficulty depends on your athleticism, meaning kids were blowing past me on some of "black" routes. I would highly recommend this place for all ages and the whole family. The entire area surrounding the park is public so there's plenty to do before and after the adventure. A+! read more

This place is so much fun. Came for the 1st time ever. Never been scared of heights but when you are standing on a 2 inch board 50 feet above the ground you truly find out what your are made of. I want to thank Josie for helping me out of a jam, at that time I left my pride behind and got the help I needed before I did some real damage to my bottom side. This was a really fun ropes course. It has 3 levels, and a million different directions to choose from that all lead to suspended obstacle courses that range from mild to challenging. The price ($49) is AMAZING considering that it covers 4 whole hours! I was worried because we were caught up in some errands and would only have about 2 and a half hours to explore the Epic Sky Trek, but 2.5 hours was more than plenty. We were also one of the only ones on the course because we went on a Monday, but I can see how busy this would be on a weekend. The guides were helpful in explaining how to put on the harnesses and how to clip in and out of the different courses. Other than that, they let us do our own thing while they "supervised" us from their hammock below. However, I am only giving 4 stars because: 1) Clipping in and out of every single course was a bit of a hassle, especially because I am shorter than average, each key I clipped into/out of were slightly out of reach for me. Call me lazy, but I believe clipping in and out of each rope took about a third of the time we were there. I am a big fan of the Sky Trail ropes courses where a rail system connects all courses and no clips are involved, so going from one level or course to another is a breeze. 2) I didn't quite make it across one of the harder courses and had to pull myself across. As I reached the wooden platform on the other side, my legs slightly scraped on the wood and received multiple splinters. Luckily the leggings I wore were pretty thick and the splinters didn't penetrate all the way, but I still spent a good 15 minutes trying to get those poking splinters all out. They should sand down their platforms a bit more because I assume this would be a frequent occurrence, especially with younger climbers. I also nearly got splinters on the wooden planks that had rock-climbing elements on them. 3) There was a group of women that were not climbing the courses, but were still let up to the top level of the sky trek to watch their friends zip line across. They also brought up beers. Not quite sure if access to the top balcony of the ropes course is included in the zip line packages, but I thought that if you did not sign a waiver, you were considered trespassing. I got a sense that there were some special treatments given. Despite all this, I still recommend checking this place out as long as you're tall enough to reach the clips, are careful of the wooden planks, and don't mind a bunch of half-drunk women judging your climbing abilities. read more

This was so much fun!!! We went today and spent about 2 hours on the course. It was challenging physically at times but had many levels of hardship. Super fun! And the people working there were great too. Will definitely go back! This is a fun activity to do for a fun date, and also to bring people from out of town for a fun activity.
