I was excited that my Bluebird membership is now honored at Epic, since this one is close to my work and the two Boise Bluebird locations I frequent make me go out of my way. That excitement was short-lived. At the four Bluebird locations I have used in the past, the experience has always been the same: The attendant outside waves and smiles as you head to the member lane, the person inside waves and smiles and mouths a thank you and make you feel welcome. That's the opposite of Epic, where the outside employee was more interested in his cell phone than on customers entering the drive. And where the inside attendant didn't smile or wave, just motioned with his hand sign to keep moving forward. No thank you or smile when I reached the starting spot. The wash equipment itself was much older than what Bluebird uses and didn't seem to clean as well. My car was still wet when I left the blow dryers. I'd rather go out of my way to return to my regular Bluebird locations than to return to Epic. I hope the owners of Spotless Brands from Illinois, which bought the two Idaho chains last fall, concentrate on the Bluebird model and look to improve the Epic side of the business, which is far from epic, at least at this location. read more

Epic Shine Car Wash on 10 Mile Road in Meridian was about as satisfying as a dinner with your least favorite in-laws -- the kind where you show up hoping for a decent experience but leave feeling underwhelmed and wondering why you bothered. I pulled in expecting a solid clean, but much like that dreaded family meal, it started going south fast. The wash itself was like bland mashed potatoes -- forgettable and uninspired. My truck came out still speckled with grime, streaks clinging to the paint like awkward conversation that just won't end. The wheels? Still dusted with dirt, as if they'd been overlooked like the salad no one touches. Even the drying process felt half-hearted -- imagine being served a soggy casserole that's lukewarm at best. Sure, my truck looked slightly better, but it was far from spotless, and I couldn't help but feel like I'd wasted my time and money. If you're in a rush and just need to rinse off the surface, maybe this place will do -- but if you're hoping for that showroom shine? Don't count on it. had wiper fluid on my window, was hoping to go here and get it off. I go through the first wash, which was the cheapest one and it didn't come off. I then go through again with the most expensive option and still it does not come off. I don't think people should waste their money on a car wash that can't get stuff off your windows and car. i luckily wasted no money but i wont be going back. if a car wash is going to have different washes then maybe the most expensive and best one should actually do something. service was good though and the employees are great read more

Worst car wash in the valley. Multiple ignored claims of damaging peoples vehicles all over town. Owner will send you blurry images from 50ft+ away claiming to see existing damage that clearly cant be seen from there poor quality images on an 80k dollar car with 17 miles on it. Do your research before washing any nice vehicle here as a great deal of cars have already been damaged. if you experence damage through the wash be prepared to be conned from the ownership group who will accept no fault under any circumstance. Try Js handwash in Garden City where you dont have to worry about a management group trying to cheat you. read more

This afternoon I stopped in to wash the interior and exterior of my vehicle. After finishing up vacuuming the interior my two children and I went to leave and my car wouldn't start. My husband wasn't able to leave work and AAA was extremely far out. It was 100° and pretty smoky out. Mike went above and beyond his job duties, he was kind enough to give us a jump. Success! My car started up and we were on our way. I was extremely stressed and overheated but Mike's kindness put a huge smile on my face. Thank you for saving the day, Mike! We appreciate you! read more

Don't expect a single smile or even a half-decent experience when attempting to communicate with them about literally anything! FTR!! Woot Woot! This is the newest location of Epic Shine. It's located near the intersection of Ten Mile & Franklin. I stopped by for the first time today (6/13/18) to redeem a coupon that I got in the mail for a free Carwash. My car was horrifically dirty. There is a lot of construction going on all around the location, so getting in & out can be a bit of a hassle. I was greeted by a nice employee named Cazi (sounds like Kamikaze) I handed him my coupon and he happily eat me up for my wash. The coupon was for the cheapest wash. Cazi didn't attempt to upsell me or attempt to get me to sign up for the monthly unlimited wash membership. Actually, I ended up asking him about the monthly membership. The prices for the monthly membership are as follows: $20:month for basic wash $25/month better wash $30/month for their best wash They don't charge any fees to set up the account & you can cancel at any time without penalty. They are running a promotion that gives you one month free. So I paid $30 today and I will not be charged again until August 13th. They have a lot of parking bays with vacuums on each side of your vehicle as well as cloth towels to dry your car. I was really impressed by this business. Everything was clean and well organized. The employees were helpful. Once all of the construction is done I will probably end up bumping up the review to 5 stars. The only negative is the lack of easy access. read more

I found out they had fired Mike, the Manager at this location and quite frankly am disgusted and appalled by this decision. My interactions with Mike were always positive and he was always friendly and courteous. He genuinely cared about the young people that worked there but was also tough when it came to making sure he had a good, reliable crew that would provide excellent customer service and they did! In all my trips through this car wash I never experienced a rude employee and I'm scratching my head why corporate would let go of someone who had put together a great "team." Sometimes it is difficult to keep young people engaged and teach strong work ethic but I honestly feel this location had the most cohesive bunch of young people (and I've been to all locations). This comes with good management and Mike was the major contributor to this success. I guess greed by corporate minions overrides the success of good managers. What a shame! Great car was makes the rigs look very clean and the included vacuum are nice too great suction to get all the funk outta your rig. Only reason for 4 stars and not 5 is when signing up for their "vet protect plan" ($30 wash for $20) great deal they charge you $30 to start you off then "refund" $10. Then supposedly the system will only charge $20 monthly after that (haven't had a monthly charge yet to know if it works like this or not). Wife's been going here for just over three weeks and still no refund to our card. We've talked to three people so far the latest being today to solve the issue. We'll see if it happens this next week. read more

What A FARCE! My auto was not very dirty, so I thought I would give Epic Shine a try. I had a coupon for a free basic wash. When my auto was finished and the tow was disconnected, I couldn't believe my eyes! The windshield, hood, windshield, rear window, side windows. The entire auto was covered with water. There are NO TOWELS to dry the auto by oneself at the vacuum stalls. So, I drove home hoping to get there before the water dried and I was stuck with spots. No luck. The car was covered with spots! I tried to use my own slightly dampened towel to remove the spots with very little success. It now looks worse than before Epic Shine! Plus, my towel was covered with grit, dirt and grime. So, save your money and time and choose a car wash that actually dries the water from the wash and cleans the exterior. I will! read more

This has become my go to for a wash. It's rarely busy and everyone is friendly and helpful. No sales pitch for upselling and no stress.

I first started using Epic Shine when I worked close to the location on State St in Eagle. Never had any problems at this location. Last summer I went to the location on Ten Mile and when I went to vacuum my car, the hoses on both sides of my car were not working properly, I moved my car and let them know when I left. When I went back today, I paid for my wash with the attendant who didn't say anything other than to ask which wash I wanted. Went through the car wash, pulled around to detail my car to find no towels. I went over and asked and another attendant told me they weren't doing that for awhile with all that is going on. I do understand that however the only reason I go to these more expensive car washes is to detail my vehicle. I think the price should be discounted if you are not still providing the same services, or at the very least let your customers know prior to paying that things are not as they normally are. I would not have continued. Luckily I had an old towel in the back of my vehicle so I didn't end up with water spots. Then I went to vacuum (I pulled into the same spot as last year, I like the end spots) and the vacuum on my right side the hose would not stay attached, the exact same issue as last summer. The hose on the left side, had no suction. So I had to use the one next to that and drag it through my vehicle. Very inconvenient. Also I could have swore they used to have the machine that cleaned the floor mats and I did not see it, maybe that was at the State St location though. I will definitely not return to this location due to the poor maintenance. One more thought, if you are that worried about passing along the Coronavirus through the towels then maybe you should be concerned with not sanitizing the vacuum hoses after each use. read more
