Poor cabinetry, weird ceiling panels that shoot for elegance but miss the mark. The washing stations aren't comfortable. You can head every convo throughout the salon because of the wide open space and you literally can stare at the people on the other side of you due to poor positioning of chairs/mirrors. The floors were dirty, there was hair and dust on the cabinets at opening, AND the BIGGEST issue I noticed that there were no sanity stations for scissors or brushes. My hairstylist used a curling brush that had hair already in it! I'm praying it was only used on freshly washed hair, but still I don't think that's acceptable. As far as my stylist, I'm happy with her and her providing me with the services I scheduled. The service was slightly more than the lists prices online so they should update the pricing. Since I liked the stylist I will give it another try but the salon isn't something itself I look forward to entering again.

She really listens and will do exactly what you ask for, asking thoughtful follow-up questions to make sure she fully understands what you want. If you're not quite sure what you want, she also has an incredible eye and somehow seems to know what will look best. Most recently, she helped fix layers I had gotten from another stylist that just wouldn't lay right and were uneven. I regretted them immediately, but Sophia took one look and said, "No problem, I know how to fix this." Within 30 minutes I went from feeling depressed about my botched layers to loving my haircut. She's also incredibly pleasant to talk with-- uplifting, positive, and someone you genuinely look forward to seeing. She most recently joined the team at Amber Renee and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a stylist.

I found myself in this predicament and the lady that usually does my hair was booked out several weeks. This left me with a decision-wait for her or take the chance on some place I know nothing about, but could get me in sooner. Since I only needed a trim, I opted to take the chance, and it ended up pretty good. My cut is fine, nothing spectacular. But I left with what I wanted-the dead ends cut off. She even round brushed out my curls and made my otherwise curly hair pretty straight for a few days until I washed it again. However, my experience was a little odd. The girl that cut my hair barely talked to me-I'm used to a little bit of conversation, but she kept to herself other than to clarify how I wanted my hair cut and to explain what she was doing. The facility is also a bit underwhelming. It is dated and not very aesthetically pleasing-old mismatched tile, no pictures on the walls, dirty surfaces. Part of the appeal of a salon and spa is the atmosphere and this one is bare bones. I will give it to them for the price-my cut and style was less than $50 and I was able to book an appointment within 4 days, so I didn't have to wait long.

They have an inviting lobby with huge windows for natural light with a beautiful view, their shampoo room is SO relaxing with dim lighting and warmed blankets to warm up after coming in from the cold, and their stations have a little drink stand to hold a complimentary beverage to keep you hydrated while you're getting your hair cut. Everyone is so nice and down to earth and relatable it just puts you at ease. Had such a positive experience that I convinced my husband to come get his hair cut here too and we both plan on coming back and will totally recommend this location :)

I called up the salon and asked for a consultation with a stylist expert in blondes and extensions. TLDR: I've never left a negative review for a salon before nor ever on Yelp, but I feel it's important to share my experience. The extension install unfortunately caused significant scalp damage including tension sores, irritation, and extreme hair breakage. I brought up the pain early on along with concern of damage and wasn't taken seriously. Eventually, I had to get the extensions removed from the stylist, Ciara. The partial refund to offset the cost of corrective treatment never arrived. ---‐-- As I felt it was strange to be told it would be painful/sore for up to 2 weeks and to take OTC pain reliever, I asked 2 different stylists to look at my install. (I'm totally new to this and intially wanted to give Ciara the benefit of the doubt.) I was told the following: "Those are tension sores from over direction of the hair in the beadwork... the beads are pulling too tight, and not enough hair in the beads. The beads are also too close to the scalp and too many wefts for per row of hair. Seek corrective treatment ASAP before alopecia sets in and ask the Bloom stylist to remove them. The hair was over processed from the base lift and bleach that caused significant breakage. The hair was compromised after the color treatment, and the poor extension install caused more intense breakage. The salon should have seen this after the first move up that the extensions needed to be taken out." I also felt uncomfortable during my appointment as the stylists were openly gossiping about other clients in front of me. When I respectfully asked for a partial refund to offset the cost of damage for repair, I was met with defensiveness instead of concern. The management team said the stylist is a renter and we'd have to settle together, even though I was ushered to this stylist by their salon in the first place. I spent about $1500 during March-April (2 bags of hair, installs, 2 color appointments) and was offered (but never sent) $125 refund. The services promised did not render the anticipated result and as such, I had to get a very short hair cut, pay for corrective treatments, and am still healing from the tension sores. Everyone deserves to feel safe, heard, and respected at a salon. I hope my experience helps others make informed decisions and if you love your hair, please consider elsewhere. I came here once and there wasn't any receptionist, so your hair stylist needs to know you are here. Also each hairstylist gets their own personal room, so it's like a mini mall and each store is a different hair stylist. My hairstylist recently relocated to this place, so that's the only reason why I went there. The hair stylist do have some common area that they share, like the hair washing station. But apart from that I think that's about it. Make sure if there is no receptionist to text or even call your hair stylist to inform her you are there. Other hair stylist will try to help, but there are so many people there they don't know everyone. I usually go to Amanda. She definitely know what she is doing and will make sure you leave looking great! And if you don't like your hair cut, she will try to make sure to fix it as much as possible so you like it a lot. I have really difficult hair to cut and she knows how to cut my hair to make sure you can see all the nice layers but not the harsh snipping. I can't express how much I like Amanda as my hair stylist and will keep going to her, even if i need to drive across town. I did try another hair stylist here once...she did a decent job, so I think the hair stylist here are pretty good. I'm just particular with people who touches my hair....I'm weird. I was recommended this salon by a friend, so I decided to be adventurous and get a color done for my next visit. The consultation over the phone went well as we discussed my hair might need to be pre lightened, but this was not for sure as they didn't see my natural color. I went in feeling confident I would get the color I wanted. They didn't pre lighten my hair, I didn't know enough about hair to comment about this. I won't say my stylist's name, but she did say she had double booked herself and was working on my hair and someone else's simultaneously. I think this is partly why the process was rushed. Not only did my hair come out an ashy blue, more gray if anything, (I am a natural medium to light blonde) they charged me for BOTH the pre-lightening (which they didn't do!) and the color. My total came out to over $250. Again, I didn't know enough about hair and thought this was normal. Just an expensive disappointment. I cried on my way home because I hated my hair so much. It wasn't until two days later I reached out via email and said that I didn't like my hair did they say they had charged me $120 for a service they didn't even do. This is all they offered to refund me. This would have never have been noticed had I not complained, I would have just been out $120 for a service I didn't get. I first was going to get my hair redone with them, but then I heard their employees talking about me over the phone while making a new appointment. Needless to say I was uncomfortable going back in and canceled that appointment. The blue has all but washed out after one wash and now I have dark gray hair. I do not recommend this salon, all in all an expensive disappointment. Very displeased with my experience and the treatment afterward from the employees (management was kind).
