He finished up with the other customers and promptly made me feel welcome. I proceeded to explain some issues I had with my bike cables and he let me know they were twisted (hand to forehead). He explained this to me without making me feel silly or dumb for my mistake. He then fixed the cables and added air to my tires. He proceeded to tell me the condition my bike was in through casual no pressure conversation. He stated it was good for now but would need work eventually. I loved how knowledgeable he was and I could tell he wasn't trying to sell me anything. Unnecessary. I then inquired about a replacement tube (he just ordered them so I'll have to come back soon) and a bike bag. I settled on a nice bike bag for under the seat. Pricey but handy and just what I needed. It was $25 which is standard for this sort of thing- I just prefer used things usually so full price scares me. Ha. Honestly it felt good to support an authentically kind local business even if it was just a little. He was willing to help at no cost and that goes a long way. I'll certainly be back soon

They properly sized me and my wife for the perfect fit and even educated us on helmet sizing. My wife picked up a Marlin 5, and I went with a hybrid bike since I'm getting older with a bad knee. I haven't been on a bike in over 10 years, and I'm still recovering from a leg injury and a back fracture from two years ago. I need a lot of exercise to lose weight and improve my knees, but it's a catch-22--riding helps, but the knee pain makes it tough! The service was amazing, and the staff was super knowledgeable. I can't say enough good things about the experience. About 3 weeks later, I realized that my initial bike choice wasn't for me. I wasn't happy with the Claris groupset. So, I went to the TREK Greenville location and spoke with Gerry and Bay a couple of times. They helped me with not only information but also exchanged my AL 2 for an AL 5 with the 105 groupset. I'm so happy with every interaction I've had since. There was no sales pressure at all. They were genuinely curious about what I needed. I ended up going back and Bay helped me pick out a good set of carbon wheels with GP5000 tires. The mechanic who set them up tubeless was great too, but I couldn't remember their name. The tires and tubeless setup have made a huge difference in how comfortable my bike is to ride! In my opinion, this should be the first upgrade of any road bike. It's been an expensive fitness journey, but it's totally worth it. I'm so grateful for the relationships I'll continue to build at my local bike shop. Thanks, guys! I really appreciate you all.

I brought my wife's Trek in for somebody to check out the rear brake (it was rubbing). The guy working there spotted the problem; it was a simple spring that had dislodged from her rim brake and he corrected the problem in about 5 seconds - no charge! Then he gave her bike a quick once over and checked the tires. He was pretty darn awesome and knew a lot about Fire Mountain and the trails there. This is a great shop with some nice bikes (I've got my eye on a Specialized!) and the staff can't be beat. I will be back for more gear and hopefully a totally unnecessary third bike!

All top quality gear, but I have had trouble lately with the motor cutting out inexplicably. I had to endure a long lecture about what parts they deem acceptable, and how they have wasted too many hours trying to fix parts that are not in their sphere of quality. I can understand reluctance to get into software or hardware that is not familiar to them, but they refused to even spend 10 minutes (which I was happy to pay for) even looking for a loose connection or anything obvious. The long-winded explanation of why they would not deign to look at it probably took longer than a diagnosis would. I know this for a fact because the problem seems to be a simple loose connection. Not impressed with their professionalism.
