I cant remember the mechanic's name that looked at my bike today. But i think it starts with a "J". Anyways, I"ll call him bottom bracket guy. I went afraid i might have to replace my bottom bracket (Expensive replacement) because there was alot of lateral wiggle in it. Another mechanic days earlier at REI, after just explaining the issue, bet it was just loose and may not need replacing. With high hopes of loose, Bottom Bracket Guy put it on the stand, and witha pull this way and a tug that-a-way, he looked at me said..."yup, it loose". And with that, whiped out a magic tool and with a turn this-a-way, and a twist that-a-way, my bottom bracket was fixed and the day was saved!! Some places would've told me it was broke and needed a new one which wouldve broken my bottom bracket!! Anyhow, an estatic thank you and again wonderful, honest service.

We especially loved the bike park portion for our kid. At $160 a month for a family of 3 (since our 4th was free because she's under 4), we just couldn't afford it anymore. We asked if we could do a bike only membership, and they said they no longer offer them. I was also interested in the different groups they hosted (examples: homeschool groups, etc), but the group membership if I remember correctly was $160 per person just to be apart of groups. I really do wish they had something more all-inclusive at a better price, as well as just better prices all around. We were only able to go about once a week which just didn't make the high price tag worth it. We've been to similar climbing gyms for $100 a month for a family, so this was just too steep for our budget. I've heard from several other local families that have had the same experience. Hoping they make things more cost effective for future families to join!

We get all our service work done there except what comes up that's unavoidable in the winter. Derek, their mechanic who always works on our bikes, is fantastic. He is very thorough plus does a complete write-up of what he's done which prints out on the receipt so we always have a written record and don't have to rely on our memories. We really appreciate having a bike mechanic we can trust. We won't be going anywhere else.

Prices for the rentals are very good, especially for multi-day rentals. Service was excellent both times, super friendly, policies are more than fair with regards to returns. One of the rentals had a flat tire and they did not charge us for the repair, which was a pleasant surprise. The store is well stocked and has a great selection of bikes at all price levels, they primarily stock and sell Scott bikes, so if a Scott is on your radar definitely check this place out!

I lost rear…read morebraking power on my mountain bike and Geoff gave me a good honest quote to bleed the rear brake. Geoff communicated well and brought his mobile bike shop to my house, how convenient! I hung out with him while he did a great job bleeding my brakes, and he even took time to fix a couple things with my drivetrain that I didn't initially tell him about. The inside of his van is organized and neat, not to mention beautifully built out! He came out the same day I called him and I was quickly able to get back on the trail. He was very professional, timely, and just a super cool guy. I will use his services again and would recommend him to anyone needing mountain bike maintenance in the Brevard or Hendersonville NC area.
