Three days ago, I called this people to get a quote, a big branch of tree fell and totally damaged my windshield...darn it! Before calling them, I already called 3 other auto glass but most of them are so pricey. I was so surprise when they give me a lower price than the others. I have to repeat it to them to make sure I heard it right :) I tried if they could come and fix it on the same day but the guy said they have to order the glass and no available person to fix. Well, totally understand that, its already afternoon, so he scheduled me on the next day. Paramount responded right away, had excellent reviews, and was able to schedule an appointment within 24 hours. Paramount was not the cheapest or the most expensive option, but they were my top choice, considering the reviews, the convenience, their responsiveness, and a reasonable price. I requested that I drop my car off at Paramount because I live on an extremely busy one-way street with no safe place for anyone to work on my car, and Paramount let me bring my car to them during this pandemic, while some others only offered to come to me and try to find a safe place to work on my car. I dropped my car off at my scheduled appointment time and went for a walk around the neighborhood, and as I was approaching their parking lot at the time they'd estimated that the windshield would be installed, they called to say they had finished the installation! They were quick (I can't remember exactly how long it took, but I think they said to allow 2 hours when I made the appointment, and I think it only took 45 minutes. I remember thinking it was remarkably fast!), courteous (they offered for me to wait inside their office, but it was a nice day, so I decided to go for a walk instead, and they said they would call me when they were finished), safe (masks all around), clean (my car looked as clean when I picked it up as when I left it, no dirty footprints or smudges on the glass), and the new windshield looked great! They left a couple pieces of blue painter's tape on top of the windshield and advised me to leave the tape on for 24 hours and to not wash my car for 48 hours (I think, but I didn't plan to wash it for several days, so I don't remember). I did want to wait to post a review until I did drive through an automatic car wash, and I waited to do that for several days, and the new windshield held up beautifully -no leaks! Paramount Auto Glass is the best!! I had a ladder, yes a LADDER hit my car driving down 580 and shattered my entire front windshield. I called a few places and in my frustration and anxiety I decided to go with a company in Concord my insurance company recommended. The company gave me what I felt was a fair price, but considering my car was so old, I thought I should call another place, and they couldn't repair the window for another day which is too long with no windshield. I called Paramount because of their easy online instant quote website and wonderful reviews. They did NOT disappoint. I was able to have a technician come out the SAME day, the price was significantly lower than the company my insurance company recommended and the service was impeccable and they definitely installed a quality product. If you own a car, the chances that someone will smash one of your windows are significantly higher than they were a year or two ago: "smash and grab" robberies have been reported widely in San Francisco and Oakland. Mine took place in the parking lot VIK's Chaat in West Berkeley. The fine folk who stole my camera and my friend's new laptop smashed a side rear window of my car, folded back the rear seat and reached back into the luggage compartment of my five-door hatchback. This all took place in a very active parking lot. To get my window replaced, I chose Paramount both because of its high Yelp ratings and because it was listed as being in Downtown Berkeley. Only after I phoned them did I learn that they had moved way down to Folger Avenue, near Hollis. Once we agreed that they would do the replacement, I drove to Folger Avenue to get my car vacuumed out and to have my smashed window covered up with plastic. It took about a week for the replacement window to arrive from the manufacturer. When it was time to get my window replaced, I opted to have the work done at my place of residence. A technician phoned me ahead of the appointment time and kept me apprised of his location during the hour before he was able to come to my car. The actual replacement took about a half-hour, and I didn't watch it. I asked the technician whether it was an easy operation -- he said that it was "neither hard nor easy." Car window replacement is one operation where you want the work to be done by someone with lots of experience. The technician told me that Paramount had received eight phone calls from new "smash and grab" victims on the day when my window was replaced. Since my appointment was at 1PM, you can imagine that there were significantly more than eight phone calls by the end of the day. Moral of the story: even if nothing valuable is visible when your car is shut, bystanders may be on the lookout for items that you stow away just after you park. Lito called before he arrived to give me his ETA -- he came on time. He then told me how long it would take to finish the job. After a quick search online I found this company and submitted instant quote request online around 8ish, hoping I would hear from them the next morning. Han the owner texted me back the quote (very reasonable) the same night and promised he would check the availability of an OEM glass in the morning. He contacted me this morning, confirmed that the OEM is available, and scheduled a service between 11pm-2pm. Dara the technician came at 11:25 (he called 20 mins in advance to tell me the ETA), finished everything by 12:05. He was very courteous and efficient, did a great job cleaning up, too! Thank you Paramount Auto Glass for fixing my car! Some jerk/idiot/lowlife decided to smash the back windshield of my brand new Honda Civic. They didn't intend to steal anything, otherwise why would you shatter the back and not the side windows? Just thought that it was funny to create unnecessary pain and damage to other people. Anyway, called my insurance and they contacted this place to do my replacement. Tony and his partner showed up and fixed my car right at the spot where it was vandalized (awesome!) I realized the day after that my radio was really static and the stations such as 94.9 or 99.7 were not playing. Turned out that the windshield was supposed to have antenna attached with it. Called and spoke with Sarah, she sent out the same couple yesterday that worked on my car. They came to my school and once again replaced it with the correct one.
