In the past, I'd had a few great experiences here a few years ago. I'd had my oil changed and car battery changed, etc on my old car. I had had a positive opinion of this place. It was great. Fair price, very close to my house, etc.
With my wife's car (very recently), there have been two problems.
(1) she had an appointment to drop off her car to get her emergency brake fixed, but when she got there, there was disorganization / confusion about the drop off. It seemed like the appointment book hadn't been shared well. Whatever. It happens. Not great, but NBD.
(2) she had another appointment to drop off her car for the exact same repair. We waited around for like 20 minutes, called, and no one came. There's no drop box for keys. We live about a 10 minute walk away and she didn't want to leave her key unattended with the car sitting out in their driveway (especially since last time, they didn't have the appointment book straight). We left the car there in the only available spot. I was to hold onto the key and bring it over when they called to say they were there and ready to work on her car. Initially they called and asked for the key. Great; this is what we expected would happen; I'm starting to walk over. They then immediately called back and screamed at her on the phone for holding up the business, not leaving the key, blocking the driveway etc. It was unprofessional, rude, and unnecessary. I ended up walking over and taking the car back home, to be fixed elsewhere.
Recommendation for them: you don't need to yell at people on the phone; what were you going to gain by screaming at her while I walked over? If you care about holding up business for 10 minutes, maybe have someone there (or someone picking up the phone) during car drop offs, or perhaps have a drop-off box for keys. And maybe take an anger management or de-escalation class. This was all totally unnecessary and avoidable. read more
