I very rarely get my nails done but since I didn't have time to do it myself I decided to treat myself. This place is on the 2nd floor so you need to go up some steep stairs, once inside, it's a pretty simple yet spacious room. I asked for a regular mani pedi and they told me it was $40, cash only. The person who worked on my nails was very nice, I thought she did a good job at cleaning up my cuticles and scrubbing my feet. I picked 2 different colors for my hands and feet. I thought she did a good job overall but maybe the quality of the regular nail polish is pretty bad because even after I waited quite a while for my nails to dry they still smudged. The polish on my hands has bubbles and just looks very messy once you look at them up close. It seems like most people come here for gel or acrylic so they don't really put much thought into regular polish. I'm giving them 3 stars because the girl was very nice and she did a good job but clearly the polish looks bad. After spending $40, I feel like I could have done my nails myself. read more

Disappointing nail job! Never coming back. Overcharged me completely! She charged me $45. I asked her if she could do the an ombré to holographic and she said yes. I've been going to envy nails since my childhood, I've been to several locations throughout NY and this one is by far the worst of them all. First of all they raise the prices every week but they never have any new colors or offer any new services....make it make sense. Second of all, even if you make an appointment with someone when you show up for your appointment 9/10 times they still have you wait over 15 minutes. I've noticed some of the reviews here w complaints about the nails (tips) they've gotten and NEWS FLASH- for those you need to go to a high scale nail salon that charges DOUBLE what you paid ($65 at least) it isn't as simple as that especially when you want to pay the bare minimum. I walked in on a Wednesday at 6:05pm. I finally sat down and a pedicure chair at 6:47pm. The woman did my feet was fantastic no complaints whatsoever. My feet look awesome ! However by the time she was done there were a woman ahead of me so I had to wait to get my nails done. No problem 8 o'clock rolled around and I told him I was going downstairs to get cash. There's a small neon sign that says cash only . However I so did not see it until it was too late. While this is not my favorite nail salon, I love coming here to get a pedicure -- the Spa pedicure (which cost $20 compared to the normal $10 one). I was not satisfied by their nail polish selection, so I usually bring my own polish or stop by the beauty supply store next door and pick up a better quality brand that will last longer. I prefer OPI or Essie. The woman that did my pedicure brought life back into my feet! She removed all the dead skin from my feet as possible with a foot rasp and got ALL of the dead cuticles as well. What amazed me was when she buffed my feet. She had something that looked like it could have been a handheld floor buffer/polisher. Don't fright. It did not hurt one bit. Tickles? Yes! It really made my feet smooth and soft! She applied the perfect coat of nail polish on my toes that lasted a very long time! I got a full set done here as well, but I am not a huge fan. Again, I am very picky about my nails. Yes, acrylic nails are not natural, but that doesn't mean that they should look super fake. The nail was a bit too square for me and too thick. In retrospect, they probably could have fixed this if I asked again. The staff here are super friendly. The full set only cost $17 and they have great designs for a cheap price too! I brought in a picture of a design I wanted done and the nail stylist did a great job replicated it. Great rhinestone colors! In short, if you are not super picky like me or need a pedicure sent from heavy, I would go here in a heartbeat. I like the salon, it's very inexpensive and Rosio does my nails perfectly. On the negative side, I think this place isn't very cleanly. It isn't horrible but pedicures in that tub don't make me feel the most comfortable lol. They should use those large shower cap like covers that cover the whole tub for a fresh pedicure. I wanted to write a review about the Envy Nails next to the bakery closer to 3rd Avenue. I been coming here about 15 years n for the last 2 years I been getting serviced by a nail tech by the name of Pamela she is i guess who's in charge of that location n is good and what she does hence the reason Ive always went back to her despite her nasty attitude and loud talking on FaceTime/ phone. So yesterday (Tuesday) i arrived around 3:30pm. No customers just another worker doing the nails of a pedicurist. Desert. Fine, I noticed Pamela wasn't at her table. Another worker with long blonde hair I think she does manicure/pedicure told me that she had stepped out to buy something and will be back shortly that I should call her. Since I didn't make an appointment I decided to give her a few minutes to arrive Maybe she was on lunch or something. I waited 20 min b4 I grabbed her card from her table and gave her call. She told me she will be a 1/2 hr more. I asked if she can call my phone when she gets back she agreed. I went to Deals on 119 th n 3rd Avenue now anybody knows this location knows there is always a Line. I took my time gathering my items waited on the long line checked out and still no call, 40 min had passed. I call her she said 2 min she'll b there. Great. So i thought... once again I get there before her. I take my coat off and wait patiently once again bc I know she'll b back soon. She comes in shortly after taking her sweet time like she doesn't know I literally been waiting 1hour for her. Now all the workers including the ones who were doing each other's nails gathered around Pamela like (high school) to inquire about what she bought she looked like she went shopping on her 1 hour break. She must be making money right? So I watch them a bit thinking she would let them see what she bought while she gets ready to do my nails at this point it's almost 5pm I'm annoyed. I stand up go over to where they are and ask her if she can show them and talk about what she bought after she finishes my nails bc I been waiting a long time. I wanted a REGULAR manicure and this was the closest thing. Next time, I'll make sure I read the reviews before coming in. The lady who did my nails her name was Lorena. You can tell she was new there because she didn't know what she was doing and you had this other lady next to her telling her step by step on what to do for a basic mani. So just filing, nail polish and matte top it was $20. On top of that you had this other lady across the room saying it was $15 and then the lady sitting next to her saying it was $20. At the end they charged me $15 and the lady sitting next to her telling her to keep MY change to just leave it like that. She then came up with the bullshit idea that it was $5 extra for the matte coat. The nails didn't even come out right. She basically only painted the middle section of my nail and the matte coat she didn't do right because I was still able to see the shine from the black nail polish. When I told her If she could fix it, she legit just went over it again with the matte coat further messing up the nails because now it looked like I had speed bumps on my nails. I ended up telling the lady to remove everything and I literally wasted my time and my money. Worst nail salon ever! the women was very rough with my nails. First she used the nail sand block thing to sand my nails but went too close to my skin. She literally sand my skin by my pinky and it began to bleed. It was very painful. She was not gentle what so ever. I got a gel manicure and my nails are two tones . It was suppose to be a deep purple with red sparkles but it just turned out red with purple tips. She dug in too deep with my cuticles, I felt like she was purposely trying to make my skin bleed when removing cuticles. Never had a painful and stressful experience at a nail salon. Very dissapointing experience. Im referencing the location near webster at the end of east fordham rd. I will say first off that these people are very kind but i will not be returning to this location ever again. First off they have a sign on their windows that states "Full set 9.99" but after i was seated and he already started the work i see signs behind him stating 15$ for a full set. Thats the type of poor miss-leading advertising that will have future customers feeling ripped off or may very well shake you down to honoring what your banner states. Please remove that $9.99 banner from your windows. Another re-accuring problem i've had with this location including today is that your Male workers do not know how to do nails. I kept my mouth shut about the different price advertisements cuz i didnt wana have a bad experience but he was also not paying attention to thoroughly file my nails down. My nails came out fat and Bulky and I literally wasted $5 on uv gell cuz when i got outside is when i noticed that he smudged my polish on six of my nails. When i got home i had to take out my electric filer and refile my nails so that they wouldnt look like minature shovels. My first time ever, they charged me 15, for acrylic with a french nail design. Then they raised the price to 17, the few months later they raised it to 18. Now these bitches be having different prices for the same shit or there is no communication because the lady in charge, (shes kinda big, but all the staff go to her for change) said they never charged anyone 17 before, that it was always $18.
