I exited at our stop, Alamo, and said 'thank you' and nothing. This guy definitely needs an attitude adjustment or take a job in an empty warehouse somewhere.

I declined any extra coverage. I have never had this happen with a rental with any company before and will NEVER rent a car through Hertz again.

Gave the person all my information, name, address, phone, email, DL number, expiration date, etc., was told there was a car confirmed for me at my local Enterprise location, all I had to do was respond to the email on the way. After 15 minutes, no email. I finally managed to speak with a person at the Ann Arbor location who told me they had no cars of any size. Go to someone else.

Be very careful if renting a car from Budget (best bet is DON'T rent from Budget but that is your…read morecall). I have rented cars from this location several times and it has gotten progressively worse. This last time will be my last time. They do not have any people skills and customer service is non existent. I always buy the Loss/Damage insurance for peace of mind that what ever happens I don't have to worry (like someone dinging your door in a parking lot) They try to up sell you on other insurance not in a salesman hey you need this kind of way but more of a strong arm, if you don't buy it and something happens I am charging you the maximum for repair. I guess you could say they try to sell it to you in a threatening tone. When I returned the car two gentlemen came and got on their hands and knees and started to inspect the rims and around the wheel wells for chips or scratches and pointed out MINUTE marks no one would EVER see when checking the car during a torrential downpour when I picked it up. I reminded them I had "the insurance" and instead of just saying ok your covered they said there were going to take it "back to the shop" for further inspection and I would be charged if they found something that was not covered (like glass apparently) They now have a 250 dollar cleaning fee also if it is returned dirtier than they think is reasonable. Their call, not yours. The same fellows also own the Avis franchise at the Windsor Airport so I would also avoid that one too. In other locations that I have rented from Budget they have been great and hassle free. In this case the parent company really should investigate this company operating their franchise because they are really doing a disservice to an otherwise decent company

My company had rented from this place many times, thru our travel agent - we will stop using them…read morein the future for several reasons, including: * Asked for a mid-size car, they gave me a Ford Focus and had nothing else available * They limit the speed the car can travel and they limit the volume of the radio - I bought an Ipod and could barely hear it. * They insist you gas up the car just before you drop it off, check the receipt and make you wait until they inspect the car to get a receipt. It takes 30 minutes to return the car. Even worst: I had a trip to Toronto - didn't make it pass Tilbury when the car blew smoke into the interior of the car when you had the fan on to heat the car. Had to turn around and return it. They offered nothing in return and they billed me for the gas for the car I returned. I complained to the National Head Office - they gave me some coupons which this place refuses to accept. Avoid this rental place and any other owned by Degraw.
