I recently rented a Tahoe for a trip to an out of state lacrosse tournament. I've rented a few vehicles from this Enterprise before, so this is my go-to place when I have the need. Staff was friendly as usual when I arrived and they got me in and out very quickly. I ended up in a Suburban for the same price, so I assume they did not have the Tahoe. Overall, I have not complaints about the location or it's staff and would recommend them if you live in the area. A note about the vehicle: The vehicle was clean and in excellent condition, but I would certainly not consider it a premium SUV. It was a mid-level Suburban with the basic options, and in my opinion not worth the $110 a day that they charge. The radio did not have an active Sirius subscription. Come on Enterprise, how do you charge that much for a "premium" vehicle and not activate the Sirius subscription? The fuel was on something like "5/7" of a tank when I got it. It would be nice if Enterprise simply filled the tanks up and required that everyone return it with a full tank. read more

To rent a car from enterprise for the weekend, they will come and pick you up, so you can rent a car knowing you can't come to get the car, but when you take it back, they don't bring you back to your house. I was told to take an UBER, or LYFT. I take care of my special needs sister and I needed to bring her with me in order to get a rental, so they said, oh we can come pick you up. Then I asked, Will you be able to take us back home once I bring the car back? They told me, oh you'll need to take an Uber or a lift. Does that make sense to anybody? Why not bring people back home? You will pick me up, but not take me back home when I bring the car back? read more

Never again. After 38 years of being a loyal customer, the Enterprise location in Westminster Maryland has permanently lost my business. They took me out to the lot to show me the vehicle and ask me to initial and sign the rental agreement. As I was signing the representative stated that my address could not be verified, even though I had rented numerous cars from them at that location with that same address, which was also the address on my driver's license and other ID's. The rep just said "we use a 3rd party, sorry" and walked away. I will never do business with Enterprise again. Great way to treat your long-time customers, Enterprise. read more

I made a reservation for a Ford F150 Premium pick up truck to use to come from North Carolina back to Maryland. When I got to the Greensboro Airport to pick up the rental vehicle I had reserved, I not only had to wait in line for over an hour to speak to someone, but then I was told that they did not have any pick up trucks available and that that I would have to take an ELECTRIC truck, specifically a Chevrolet Silverado electric pick up truck that, when fully charged was only showing the capability of going 400 miles. When I expressed my concern for having to drive back to Kernersville, NC to pick up the items to take back to Maryland in the truck, and that I was afraid it would not get me back to my final drop off destination in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania on the charge that the truck currently had, I was told that I could simply call Enterprise and let them know I needed to recharge the truck and they would cover the fee for charging and that I could go to any Sheetz Store and charge the vehicle. So I ignorantly agreed to do this. On the way back home, with a fully loaded down electric pick up truck, I had to begin considering recharging the vehicle in order to make it back home. So I called the phone number that I was given to call at the Greensboro Airport Enterprise dealership which was 1-833-763-1738, option 1, then option 5, I was put on hold by their automated system, and then after 2 minutes of waiting, given a message stating that my call could not be transferred at that time and to call back later, and then it hung up on me. I tried other options when calling the number and only spoke with a real live person through the Road Assistance Service option where I was told several times that they could not help me and that I would need to either take the vehicle back to Greensboro, NC (some 100+ miles back from where I currently was located) and speak with a business manager at option 1, then option 5. I tried looking up other contact numbers to Enterprise Car Rental and attempted to speak to someone about what to do about charging this vehicle but was never able to reach anyone who could help me. I finally chose to seek out a Sheetz store to see if I could locate a charging station for this truck, but after three Sheetz attempts and one Chevrolet dealership attempt, I still could not locate a charging station that fit the electric charging port on the vehicle that I had been given to use. I finally located a charging station at a Sheetz store somewhere between Christiansburg, Virginia and Roanoke, Virginia that had the proper charging adapter to fit the truck I was given, but then had to wait for more than one and a half hours in the pouring rain to charge the vehicle from 52% to 80% when the machine cut itself off and offered not even a receipt for the money it charged me to recharge the electric battery in the Enterprise vehicle. The charging station was an EVGO station at the Sheetz Store. All this, coupled with the severe rain storms and my extra driving trying to locate a charging station that was compatible with the electric vehicle Enterprise rented to me change a normally 8 hour trip home to a nearly 14 hour trip back to Westminster, Maryland. I was supposed to pick up the truck at 12:00 noon on Friday, August 15th and did not get a vehicle and even leave the airport with it until nearly 1:30pm. Then I still had to drive back to Kernersville, load the truck and begin my trip home. We left Kernersville, NC before 4:00pm and did not arrive back in Westminster, Maryland until going on 6:00am on Saturday morning, August 16th. Then, I still had to drive the truck up to Gettysburg, Pennsylvania to drop it off before 12:00 noon on Saturday morning, and I did, leaving it, after having an initial charge PLUS my additional electrical charge, with only 31 miles left on the vehicle. The two main problems I had with all this were... #1: the lack of Customer Support and access to proper help with locating a charging station for the vehicle they gave me as they said I would have. #2: the fact that when I did finally reach someone in Customer Service on Saturday morning, AFTER returning the vehicle in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, I spoke with a nice lady at 1-800-264-6350, after answering "NO" to each of the 4 questions their automated system continued to ask each time I called. She listened to my problem and assured me that "someone in tier two Customer Service" would call me back within 24 to 48 hours and possibly adjust my bill due to all the problems I had experienced. NO ONE EVER CALLED ME BACK AND I WAITED UNTIL TODAY, AUGUST 23RD TO CALL SOMEONE MYSELF and try to get some help with my problem. I was given three options, none of which were of any real consolation to me as a paying customer with a problem, and NO ONE AT ENTERPRISE CAR RENTAL seemed willing to help me or take the initiative to get this sort of problem resolved. This is TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE and I will NOT use Enterprise again! read more

I booked convertible 3 weeks ago and paid for insurance. When I called them on the day I was supposed to pick up car they mentioned they were trying to reach out to mention that they don't have convertible available. my plans got ruined. They said you can wait until the lady returns the car. it was Saturday and I waited from 9am to 2pm closing time and again they didn't have it available. Wasted my time and plans and everything. This company doesn't try to meet your needs and they do not return your insurance payment as well. I won't recommend them! read more

On 10/31/23 I needed a rental car for a doctors appointment on 11/1. I called the #800 and set everything up-including the pick up service. Less then an hour before pick up I received a call saying I could not be picked up because I was too far away. I was also told since I live in MD they could not pick me up. This is not the information given to me on the phone. I was only told 10 miles was the distance cut off for pick up and the rep knew I was in a different state. I live less then half a mile from the state line I called the Westminster office, which is well over 10 miles away, and I'm told they have no one available to pick me up. Next I call the #800 back since they were the ones who set up the appointment. They told me that there was a promotion and they could guarantee a pick up as long as I bought a $200 Walmart gift card... Thankfully my vehicle was repaired earlier than expected so I was able to make it to my appointment on11/1. i understand that where I live is challenging but the reps at the #800 number really did me wrong. read more

I'm now over $800 in for a truck rental that I didn't want. Terrible customer service. Dishonest employees and ridiculous fees. They lied about a denting the truck, then extorted an additional $800 from me when they dented it in their parking lot. I've never been so furious or felt taken advantage of like I have by Mt Airy Enterprise. Customer care was pointless the entire process from start to finish was absurd. Despite Google saying this location is open on Saturday, they are not. We had a reservation via the insurance company for an SUV and when we picked up, there was no SUV available. We were told to come back Friday and they would have one available, however, when one works 7am to 7pm, how is one supposed to pick up a vehicle while they are still at work and cannot leave, drive over an hour out of their way, then return to work? The fact that they are CLOSED Saturday and Sunday is incredibly inconvenient for working people. If we had a choice, we would not have chosen Hertz, but the insurance did not let us choose. Now we've been stuck, trading a Chevy Malibu back and forth, because it does not fit our entire family. read more

I had lodged a complaint about this Enterprise that they drastically overcharged on a truck we returned with a scrape and dent. $4500! Right away I got a reply from customer service saying they wanted to help out. But that has turned out to be all show and no actions. They're answer to my complaint and my withholding my deductible was to threaten with the collections agency. Not what I would call a very helpful customer service department! Come on Enterprise, for a "family owned" national company, you can do better than that! read more

Had an excellent experience with this location recently when I had my car in the body shop since it was hit and my insurance company set me up with a rental. Alex was extremely professional and accommodating, he met me at the auto body shop and gave me the rental and the process was very smooth. I recently called to switch out the rental since it smelled so bad of smoke and he was able to get me into another rental the same day I called. He was extremely professional, friendly, and accommodating. I try to write reviews when I have a good experience with someone in the customer service department because it's not often that you run into someone that's pleasant and easy to do business with, it's a shame but it's the truth. I arranged an online rental of a 15 passenger van for a big family event as there were none in the local Enterprise. It was delivered to our local in a timely fashion, they called and emailed me the day before to let me know it was all set and was given precise instructions on what I would need to have with me when I picked it up. All went smoothly and the staff was readily available and efficient. The van was clean, comfortable and easy to drive. It made the entire outing a wonderful experience. I would do this again in a heartbeat for the next big family event! read more

My husband and I had used Enterprise in Westminster many years ago and, more recently, twice in the past nine months ... December 2017 and August 2018. On all occasions, we've been very pleased with their cars, their rates and their customer service. They're the only car rental agency in our area that provides transportation (gratis) to their location. read more

I am usually very happy with Enterprise, but this last time the vehicle we had pulled to the right. When in Florida we exchanged it, that was the worst place I have ever been. They tried to give me a vehicle that stunk from cigar smoke. The vehicle we got, they never gave me any paper work. When I returned the vehicle to Westminster MD, they noticed a dent and wouldn't close out my account until they spoke with the Florida location. The vehicle was not damaged while I had it. Monday they sent my receipt and everything was fine. I love the Westminster branch, but the one's in Florida West Palm Beach area leave a lot to be desired. Sorry for the low rating, but I had to rate Enterprise as a whole. read more

I would've given 5 stars if it weren't for Enterprise corporate. This site was wonderful--we had to do a 2 month rental because one of our cars died and we were in a home buying process so we couldn't purchase a vehicle. They were great! However, I "joined" enterprise's points program specifically because of this rental, and got no points for either month. Additionally, the final due date to return the car was on a Sunday by 3:00 pm. My husband and I went to drop it off only to discover that they are closed on Sunday--the contract actually said to return on Sunday (when they are apparently closed). Come to find out, after reading around online, this happens relatively often with enterprise, and when they get in on Monday to check the car in, you get charged an extra day. Had we known we would have returned the car on Saturday--however, again this location was great; we dropped the car at 5:00 am on Monday morning (not wanting it to be left overnight, as we and our insurance would have been responsible had something happened to it), and my husband called when they opened and they took off the extra day charge--no questions asked, so again THIS location is AWESOME!!! read more

If I could pick negative stars I would. Please do not rent from this location. This has been the worst customer service experience I may have had with any business. From being given the wrong car, being sent to different locations that still had the wrong car, to not returning calls, to being promised solutions that never occurred (there isn't enough space here for me to adequately describe my awful experience with enterprise). I spent a good amount of my vacation repeatedly calling enterprise and following up on issues never resolved. Finally after a week they still have a hold on my credit card and haven't refunded the charges they indicated they would. read more

On Jan. 10 2017 I rented a car from 437 Baltimore blvd, Westminster, MD. Gary let me choose the "accept optional collision damage waiver", and I told him "I don't know whether I have liability or comprehensive insurance. He let me ask my insurance, and I did, and my insurance sent the declaration forms to him twice. I thought he removed the damage waiver for me, but when I returned back the car, and he said I owe him a lot of money. I was so surprised, and after talking to him for several times, he said he reduced the money. I told him I can't pay for this. When I got my credit card bill, I saw Gary charged my credit card $163.71 without my knowledge. I emailed their custemer service, and Brain called me and told me Gary reduced original money for me two times, there is no further discount, and Erie insurance company still owe their money. I asked him :"what is this to do with me?" then Brain didn't say anything more. My car was rear ended by someone who has Erie insurance. I wanted Brain's supervisor's name, he didn't tell me, and Brain said he will forward my email to his supervisor...I waited and waited... no one call me. This morning I called Brain, and someone told me he just left for vacation. I asked :"who is Brain's supervisor?" He said Gary knows, but he is with a customer... I waited for the whole day, and at 5:45pm, I called Gary again, still the same person told me Gary is with a customer... I said I will write a review if Gary doesn't talk to me or give me refund. Gary never called me , and I have to write this review. I never asked Gary for the additional insurance, he said Erie will pay the additional insurance if I have the liability insurance. But My insurance company sent Gary two times the declaration forms, he should remove the additional insurance from beginning. The car accident is not my fault, and I don't have job too. I was talking to some people I know and some people I not know, all of them said Gary should totally remove the charge for me! read more
