I was even happier when I returned the car and they gave me a ride to the car dealer I had selected. A few minutes after they had dropped me off, I realized I had left my phone in the rental car. I called and spoke with Alice at Enterprise and she confirmed that she had the phone and that they would be open for about another hour. I thought I would have plenty of time to get there before they closed, but when things started to take longer than expected at the car dealership I called Alice and told her I would pick up the phone in the morning. That's when she cheerily said "Don't worry, I will bring it to you now!" I have always been satisfied when renting from Enterprise, but Alice's extra effort really made my night. I was in an accident July 7, 2017 at 8am. My insurance company(USAA) immediately set me up with a rental from Enterprise ; I have rental insurance on my policy. The first part of this went very smooth - I got a ride from AAA to the rental office in West Warwick. Christopher Casale (a management trainee) set me up with a car , required a $50 deposit which I would get back upon the return of the car, and I was on my way to work. Fast forward to this week - the damage on my car was pretty extensive - I managed to damage a lot of different areas needing replacement. As of 5 weeks in, my car was not finished being repaired. On Tuesday, 8/15 I stopped at a restaurant to bring home dinner for my family, as I was arriving later than usual. Much to my dismay, the restaurant declined my card. Turns out, Enterprise debited hundreds of dollars off the card without notification, overdrawing my account. I called the very next day, as the Enterprise office was closed for the day, and they could not give me an answer why, although they did credit the money back the next day. 3 days later, 8/19, I am in a Dr. Office on a Saturday morning and attempt to pay the balance of a procedure I had and my card is declined again. Turns out Enterprise charged another few hundred to me - now I'm stuck all weekend without the funds. I contacted Dwayne Smith yesterday to remedy the problem and all he could say was that he'd have to verify with USAA that my repairs were still underway. He was supposed to get back to me by yesterday day's end and has not. I put in a call to customer service and all they could do was put in a complaint and forward it to have "the next available representative" get back to me. This is just unacceptable. Especially for a company whose website professes: ""Take care of your customers and your employees first, and the profits will follow." AND "Our dedication to the military comes to life in our support of and affiliations with organizations making a positive impact on the lives of veterans" "In 2014 we were also honored with the Going Above and Beyond award, for helping USAA's property and casualty team achieve its strategic priorities by providing exceptional customer service to USAA members" Well, doesn't seem so in this situation does it? I have yet to hear from anyone or receive my money back. I understand they own National and Alamo as well as Enterprise (which name they took , by the way, from the founder's association with the WWII aircraft carrier U.S.S. Enterprise) Be very careful. Tried Enterprise after bad experience with Hertz at PVD airport location. A friend suggested that we rent off airport property and save money. Since we were visiting family, they drove us from the terminal to the Bald Hill Road location in ten minutes. The vehicle was waiting and while we signed the forms, a young man transferred out luggage to the new Altima that was warming up for us. (It was bitter cold and windy that day) That's not the only thing that impressed me. This same young man (Andrew Ledbury) called my home the day prior to our flight and confirmed our reservation and assured us a vehicle would be waiting on our arrival. This was the best car rental experience ever! A short follow-up on recent experience in Dallas. Arrived Love Field and car was ready. Huge SUV at a reasonable price. Unfortunately, I needed a mini van to rent. Enterprise was the only company that had one available when I made a reservation last week. I reserved a car for a noon time pickup. It's 1:10pm and I am sitting waiting for my rental van because the van is up the street getting an oil change. I hoped changes were made to improve customer service at this location, but it hasn't. While I am sitting here waiting for my rental, I asked what I need to do to make sure that when a rent a car, it's available for me. I was told my rental was for noontime, after 12:30, they sent the car to another local business that was low on cars. I arrived at this location at 12:55. I would have expected a courtesy phone call since my number was provided when the reservation was made. read more

Their website advertises rental of$ 24.99/ day but when I got there, was told since I didn't reserve on the internet, the price is $53/day. If I wasn't in a bind I wouldn't patronize this company. I rented a car recently for a road trip to Washington DC, and had a very good experience. This was my first time renting so there were a few hiccups (I didn't know they would need a $200 deposit for example, that wasn't covered when I made the reservation), but overall I was very pleased. The people in this office are nothing short of AWESOME! I was visiting from CA and staying nearby. My cell phone (it turned out all of Verizon's pre-paid phones went down) was not working. I knew that I wasn't going to be able to rent a car until I knew what was wrong with my phone. Kelli, from Enterprise, not only drove me to a Verizon store, but knowing that it may be too late for me to even rent a car, she still said that she'd be happy to drive me back to the condo where I was staying and to just call her when I was done at Verizon. Their management backs their sales people unethical practices. Very disappointed in a company that is this large treating their customers this way. First, the representative in the Enterprise office talked me into some extra insurance that was only supposed to cost me $60.00. I have my rental for 3 days when I see the charge of $182.00 pending on my credit card. I went straight into the office and told them to remove the insurance immediately and adjust my balanced owed. My insurance was covering most of the rental charges anyways. They gave me a receipt with the correct amount of $67 being what I owed after the insurance covered the rest. I returned my rental on Monday April 11th and the $67 final and ONLY charge that I owed them POSTED to my credit card account on Tuesday April 12th.. At this time, the $50.00 deposit was returned and the incorrect amount of $182.00 was also removed. Everything looked good and I was happy. Then I check my credit card on April 13th and a NEW pending charge appeared for $67.00. It says on my bank account, that the charge was authorized on 04/13/16. This is TWO DAYS after I returned my car. And Enterprise already has my $67.00. My bank was willing to remove the pending charge if I could get an Enterprise agent on the line in a three way. I called Enterprise and the rep gave me some crap story about why the charge was reappearing. I never gave them permission to charge my card April 13th and if it posts to my account, I will be disputing it with my bank. I can't believe the agent wouldn't speak with my bank. I need this extra $67 charge removed and I will never EVER do business with Enterprise again, and I will tell my friends and family never to do business with them. Absolutely horrible experience both at the office and with their call center. STAY AWAY! read more

Was extremely disappointed in the customer service received. We rented a van to drive from RI to SC. During the 1st few hours of the trip, the windshield wipers and windshield sprayer died. Luckily, it stopped raining. Another hour later, the A/C died. Called to get another van - was told by staff that I would have to call around to see who had what. When I said I was out of state and didn't know where to go, I was told to "Google it." Called 5 offices - got no assistance. Finally called an airport office; they were awesome. Helped me find a location close to where I was during my drive - even said they would call ahead to let them know we were coming. If it wasn't for that individual, I would say I would never use Enterprise again. read more

A few days before Thanksgiving I was in a car crash where someone t-boned me in downtown Providence. Due to minor glitches in the police report, the repair time and insurance liability took longer than expected which led me to a mental breakdown each time I would get into my car. Needless to say, it was a solid month filled of back and forth bantering with both insurance companies before I found myself walking in the doors of the Enterprise location on Quaker Lane in Warwick, RI. Once I am notified that I am able to pick up a rental car, I was ecstatic. Side note, we have now fast tracked to 12.29.2015 because of how long the insurance process took. On this very day, I had work in Trumbull, CT from 6am-3pm, then had to stop at Inskip to drop off my Mini Cooper and sign papers with the Collision center before 5pm, then head over to Enterprise to sign papers there in order to get a car to then drive back 2 hours home to CT for work at 4am! Anyhow, we first start with Andrew who was such a delight and very helpful with getting me into a rental! Everything was done in the blink of an eye and I was out of their office within minutes and on my way over to Inskip for more paperwork! Andrew was able to get me into a 2016 Fiat 500x which was similar to my Cooper and BRAND NEW! I was pretty pumped about this but since they just had taken it off the truck, they needed to add gas and such so he said that they would be more than happy to drop off the vehicle fully ready to go for me over at Inskip within 30 minutes! I was totally cool with that and headed over to my next stop; Inskip. Okay, so now we have fast-tracked to 01.20.2016 where I am driving home from work in CT on the Merritt Prkwy/Berlin Trpke juncture going North bound when I hit a massive doe in the middle of the highway! If any of you are from CT or familiar, you are fully aware of the Merritt and especially the deer epidemic that goes on over in those neck of the woods! Back to my main point, now I am not sure if track practice was in session in deer country or if Santa let Prancer and Dancer out for a night of drinking and reckless activity now that the holiday season is over; however these two dare-devils had a different agenda... They were fascinated by the pearly white Fiat and needed a closer look; therefore, they insisted on jumping over the guard rail and running directly in front of my car leaving me ZERO seconds to react... Due to the lane I was in, the amount of deer, pitch black roads, Oh! and the speed limit being 55, I was almost forced to hit Bambi or I would have just ended up hurting myself by trying to swerve in any direction possible. Cue the waterworks and emotional melt down for the following reasons: 1. BRAND NEW RENTAL CAR - I was literally having a panic attack over it, I probably asked the cop 45 questions about rental cars and he actually had to tell me to zip it so he could finish the paper work. Basically, I felt TERRIBLE about the car and was mortified to call the branch in AM to let them know I hit a deer! 2. Are they going to be mad at me?! Am I in trouble? Am I going to get yelled at? 3. Still pretty down about killing Bambi.... Now we have arrived to this very morning on a freezing cold day in Newington, CT where I am left stranded with no car in my apartment, mascara all over my face from crying, and 8 numbers that I am hesitant to call about the series of unfortunate events that unfolded after my amazing day of work yesterday. (Funny how the world works...) Needless to say, I thought i was doomed... I get in contact with Enterprise first and they weren't even concerned about the car and more concerned about my own safety! That was their 2nd brownie point (remember, Andrew was the first). They walk me through a few policy procedures and ask typical questions about the incident and then inform that I should notify my insurance company asap. I had more information for them but needed to call back and when I did Dwayne, the branch manager took the call which later led to him being the 3rd brownie point for this review! On the phone with Dwayne was a breeze and the first thing out of his mouth was, "Miss. Palfy, are you okay?" I love the consistency and the caring environment that this branch has displayed for such an unfortunate situation! He then asked me if and when I would like to pick up another car. I kind of laughed but then I notified Dwayne that I was located in CT and he said, "Thats one of the many perks of renting with Enterprise, you'll be able to pick up a similar car under the same reservation as the initial car prior to accident. All you need to do is call them and notify the branch and if they have ANY issues, tell them to call me personally!" Honestly, the look on my face was priceless and then the waterworks started up again and not from anger/frustration but from pure joy and happiness to how the Warwick Branch handled the situation! 2/23/16 Addendum. Someone from Enterprise read my review. 3 People in the CARE office emailed me. I sent my concerns, they said they would be addressed and looked into. I was given a coupon for a free upgrade on my next rental. Quite nice to know someone is reading these reviews and listening to the customer - thanks Enterprise!!!!!!!!!!!! Have rented from this office for 10 years through corporate work rental. All the managers have been so nice and knowledgeable, Mary Ricci is no longer manager at this branch. The new manager, is Dwayne Smith. Got my rental on Friday 1/29/16 - dirty with salt marks from the snow - previous storm the prior Saturday. Dwayne said they don't wash when its cold as doors on cars freeze and can't open them. When I picked my car up on Friday, temp was almost 50 degrees. I asked for one day credit when I returned the car due to being dirty, all I got was 10% off my total bill. Agent Matt was new and probably needs more coaching. They put a $200 hold on my credit card, which all Rentals do. Matt said it would be released when the rental agreement is closed. Drop car off on Monday 2/1/16, closed agreement - went to use my CCard and declined - i have a low credit limit by choice. The hold is still on my credit card - I called CC company. So, sent off email to Dwayne Smith and District Manager John Bachner. Matt gave me the wrong info or unless there is a glitch in their system, but I think the latter. Not sure i f I'll rent from them again, there is an entire new sales force here - not enough staff. Phone kept ringing as Dwayne was adjusting my bill and 3 times he asked 3 callers to hold as only other agent was on phone with customer. This is a second time that I have rented a car and I asked to not have any surprises with charges. Well, I did have over $200 of extra charges with insurance. There are 3 different insurances that they will charge you with. I have tried to get someone to work with me on removing these costs and tho my son was with me I am having NO LUCK. Check with your car insurance before you leave as most insurances WILL COVER you when you rent a car. I didn't know that before renting! read more
