My husband and I were recently staying in Vernon and ran into some car troubles. We ended up having…read moreto leave our car in the shop and needed a rental car within half an hour since it was the end of the day. The VW dealership called Budget ahead of time to see if they had any cars available meanwhile I quickly did a little research online. We ended up using Budget because of the time constraints and they were close by. We got a "shop rate" which was $100 for two days (same as what I found online) only with a very low kilometer/day limit. We didn't have time to question anything when we picked the car up and had to do so when we dropped the car off and were less rushed. If you book online the daily kilometer rate is unlimited. When we asked about this we were told the limit was because we got the shop rate. This is ridiculous since I had done a little research beforehand and knew the rate online and the "discount shop rate" were the same price. I guess they assumed we wouldn't bother to check the price online beforehand. We weren't able to use the car except for absolutely necessary trips such as getting home from the rental place. We were vacationing with some friends and ended up borrowing their car to avoid going over the kilometer limit. It frustrating to know that Budget purposefully take advantage of people in a tight situation and that they lie about giving away discounted "shop rates" when it is no different than their regular rates, just with very low kilometers. The staff were not helpful and basically shrugged off our questions. It's fairly useless to have a car that you can't actually drive without occurring additional charges. It might be OK to rent from this company if you have time to do your research ahead of time and make sure you are getting a good deal but since I've seen firsthand how quickly they will lie and take advantage of you when they can, I will avoid this company in the future.

There were no extra charges when I returned the car, which I later bought when they offered it for sale. This is the second vehicle I've bought from Harry's. It's been a great, dependable vehicle - it's never left me stranded. Chris takes the time to explain what needs to be done maintenance wise, what can wait, and is always respectful when he has to explain and inform non-mechanically minded customers like me. Highly recommend this business.

Worst service ever! First, my car " would be ready in 3 days". Then " A week". Then " a week and a…read morehalf". And then it was " well, it will be ready when it is ready. This is real life, it isn't our problem, it is yours". No, you not being able to complete a job when you say you are going t is completely YOUR problem, and so was the rude, snotty attitude. Then they got pissy ebcause we had rented a car from budge..conveniently forgetting when we told them we needed a courtesy car, they didn't have one, and that " wasn't their problem". Then they got moisture behind my dashboard, and insisted it was like that when it was brought in. I look at my dashboard very frequently, as it has a lot of digital readouts. It had no moisture when the car was brought in..Oh but they have a picture! Of before they started! Showing moisture..unfortunately it is an "ogopogo" picture, so blurry you cant tell the details of what you are looking at anyhow. Absolutely the worst body shop we have ever been to
