This place is horrible! They accused me of theft!!! Don't go here!!! As mentioned in my previous review about the Sherman Oaks Enterprise I went to last time that didn't have any cars, I had to come here to the Van Nuys Enterprise and get my car because they actually have available cars on their lot. So when my Porsche was involved in a hit and run on Valentine's Day, I decided to come straight to this location and rent my car. Everything started off well--They picked me up, brought me to their location, and rented the car to me. The man who helped me was very nice and I enjoyed his work. They don't have luxury cars here, so I wasn't going to get anything comparable to my Porsche. They did have a Camry so I asked for that. It looked like it had just been dropped off by another customer dirty inside and out. I told the man helping me and he had it sprayed down. Car was pretty basic, had scratches, dents and looked like a previous driver had run into something with the front bumper. I paid almost $500 upfront because I had no idea when my Porsche would be out of the shop. A week goes by and the manager Christian Aguilar is calling me asking when I'm brining the car back and that my card wasn't working and they need to escalate it to the risk department. Risk department??? When you charge an Amex card over and over it thinks it's fraud and won't let the charge go through. Also the $500 I paid covered more than a week so why am I being sent to the risk department? I called them immediately and told them that I had already paid and that I am also waiting for my insurance to take over payments because it was a hit and run. I told Christian I was in talks with my insurance on how to proceed and he said ok. The next day I'm getting emails and letters from the risk department saying this car is now considered stolen and they are getting police involved. I was in constant communication with Christian and he knew exactly what I was going through. I even tried to give them another card over the phone and they said I had to come in and do so while I'm battling COVID all week. Luckily my Porsche was delivered to me last night and I drove that busted Camry to an Enterprise drop off lot in Encino. This was the absolute worst experience I have ever had with a rental company. And to think my last experience was bad enough at the other branch and someone from the Enterprise team reached out to me to ask what happened via email. When I told them, I never heard back...Not a call, not a discount for next visit, nothing! Needless to say I will not be using Enterprise anymore, at least not in this area. They don't know how to treat their customers who are already dealing with the stress of having their car damaged from a hit and run driver and dealing with insurance etc. Renting a car should be a breeze but Enterprise has shown that they do not care about you and just want your money. If you can avoid this place... I got into the car accident and I had to be picked up from the body shop. Of course I had stuff... a whole trunk full. As soon as I got there, I didn't even step out of the vehicle and get my stuff out when someone else was already looking at the car. I was told that the car wasn't gonna be rented right away so I didn't have to take my stuff out . Then not even two minutes the car is getting rented and I have to get my stuff out which is fine. I totally understand. I asked the staff member if you would take the stuff out and he said no that I had to help him the audacity. His demeanor and tone with what made it horrible. Then he wouldn't help me with the specific items. I told him he only carried the "heavy" which was a case of water bottles and protein drinks, and I had to carry the other bag out. Don't rent your car here. They pull a stunt on the pre-existing dents and hold you responsible upon return of the vehicle. Document and take video of EVERY SMALL DENT and have them state it in the report or you'd be asked to pay for them upon return of the vehicle. I've already reported the employee misconduct at this location but don't like for any other client to fall for this before the regional manager takes the necessary action about this location. read more

Amazing Experience both Renting and Returning! Needed a van, couldn't find one online, so I called Enterprise on Oxnard 5 minutes before they closed - thought for sure I would get a recording. Much to my surprise Erica (cheerful and super helpful btw!) answered the phone and within a minute or two I had a van, then before she said good bye, she said "I got you covered - I will take care of you!" "I will see you in the morning!".... I arrived unsure but hopeful, and YES, Erica did deliver on her promise in every way. I had a van, a great price, and was good to go in no time flat. She even took the time to measure out the cargo space in the van just to make sure the item I was picking up would fit easily and without a problem. She even had all of the seats folded flat before I left just to make it even easier for me. Returning the van was just as easy! Rey(also very cheerful and helpful) remembered me and was quick to resolve a few issues I was concerned about. It was nice that Rey was able to take ownership of my issue, and had the authority to handle it right then. He reviewed the charges and there were NO surprises and the total was exactly what Erica had said it would be. Total disclaimer: that's possible as when I returned a rental, the agent said it didn't have enough gas and I told them "when I got the car, it didn't have a full tank". Hence: they charged me $30. This is a continuation of my review . Do NOT rent from this branch. I believe they have relationships with the auto body shops their and probably get some sort of kickback. The manager Liz claims damage , without using the market they are supposed to carry around with them to assess the damage, then when you ask to see if and use it on there and proves it is a dent within acceptable limits tried to show some other non existent damage. If you have a problem DO NOT email the people that respond to your review call in . The people that email you are not very smart and don't actually read the review . As I stated in my previous reviewI am waiting for a regional manager to contact me . Returned today with my friend to get her a rental car as well. Same sleazy manager was there. His name is STEVEN. Fakest guy you will find. As soon as I walked in he knew who I was remembered the car I rented, the insurance I had, and all the details of my purchase history. I reminded him how he charged 8 extra days "accidentally" and he gave some bs answer how he forgot to stop charging me.. though his memory of the other events was pretty sharp. Next we asked if we can get a better car than what he was offering and he suggested to call the insurance company and lie to them telling them I do business with my car and I need a better car. He said he would "coach" us on what to say insisting we tel the insurance she works as a sales rep when we just told him she was a student. He said if they didn't budge to threat to complain to the supervisor and give a bad review. He said "this way you can get a better car and I can get more money." The very worse Rent a Car employees. Do not get victimize, stay away from this place. This happened on Thanksgiving weekend. I rented a car on this place because my car was in the service center. Wednesday, November 22, 2023, I arrived at Enterprise Rent a Car around 3:45 pm to get the Car, a Chevy Spark 2021 model gray color. The Enterprise Employee walked me through the vehicle to inspect it, and I saw a Small Chip in the bumper on the driver's side and a couple of scratches and I showed it to the employee of Enterprise, and that employee told me that "if it is a small chip and small scratches, Enterprise covers that and no need to record that and you do not need to worry about it", a doubt came to my mind, so I took some pictures of the car. And I asked this employee, if they had insurance that covers everything and he replied "NO" and he read to me several insurance option, which if I get all of it, then the car would be fully covered, but the cost is very expensive per day, so I decided not to use the Enterprise insurance, and I used my own car insurance. Saturday, November 25, 2023, around 9:30 am, When I arrived at Enterprise Rent a Car to return the rented Car, a Very Young Lady that looks like a High School, Maybe a New Employee who wants to impress her manager, took a picture of the same small chip in the bumper on the driver's side and she said that they would file a claim in my insurance. Arguments happened, the enterprise male employee who did the walk-through inspection with me, the same employee who told me that those small damages were NO need to be recorded, does not want to comment and he moved away from the conversation. I did NOT sign any documents that I admit that it was my fault. After couple of days, I received an email from Enterprise that I need to pay $600+ for that same small chip in the bumper of the rented car which was there already when I rented it, and there was a document saying that it was my fault with a signature that looks like a line which is NOT my signature. Read this, lots of times, Me, my friends and my co-leagues uses enterprise rent a car if we are vacationing out of town and we recently used Enterprise Rent A Car in San Antonio, TX, and there was no problem, smooth system, professional employees, great insurance coverage for rental cars. The Enterprise Rent a Car location between Van Nuys Blvd and Oxnard St. have the worse customer service, very unprofessional and inexperience employees. read more

I've been coming to this location for years and definitely can see a huge difference ever since they switched the management to a new manager named- Liz. Everything has changed! From the customer service, to the workers being happy and loving their job. This location is at its peak!! And is way much better! I had the best experience ever at Enterprise on Oxnard St in Van Nuys. My car was at the nearby Hyundai dealership and would not be ready til late Saturday afternoon. However, the Enterprise branch is closed Saturdays and their sister branch on Sepulveda closes at 1:00 PM. I had no choice but to return the car on Monday. As a result, I was certain they were going to charge me for 2 extra days. But not only did they credit me for a Saturday return, they refunded my gas money. I was more than pleasantly surprised. They were warm, friendly, decent, and wonderfully reasonable. They turned an expensive day into an affordable one. Hats off to branch manager, Erica, and her trainee, Nai. I have been renting cars from enterprise for over 20 years, this location is the worst I had ever experienced!!! It is so poorly run its beyond words!!! I have been an Enterprise plus member as well! I would always rent at the Sepulveda Blvd location, near Victory Blvd in Van Nuys. You talk to their staff at this location everyone is training to be a manager! I think Enterprise needs is more Indians, and less Chiefs!! Their young guys in their twenty's, and oh do they need training forget management! I had one young man try to sell me insurance for longer than the Salesman at Mercedes spent with me trying to sell me my pre owned car!! I recommend this location over the North Hollywood. Customer service wise. It was my first time renting a vehicle. I wanted to for sure to have a vehicle on pick up day and they were able to help with this. There is a discount if you sign up for a free membership. I needed a soccer mom van to take my in-laws to a wedding and everything went smoothly. No problems with the vehicle and it had a decent amount of gas in it. Never go here unless you have to! The manager's name is Steven...you will know it as he repeats it every 30 seconds. He talks to customers with a demeaning tone using phrases like "ok buddy?" "ok bro?" They gave me a Dodge SUV rental that smelled like someone spilled a gallon of chemicals inside. I went back to exchange it after a few days and they gave me a different car. While he was walking me to the new car, he called a customer holding a baby car seat and told him right in front of me that he had this great Dodge SUV he was going to give him now and he would love it (pointing to the same car that smelled like chemicals). This location use to be my go to when ever I needed a car now it is the run from... Even though my insurance was paying I still expect a clean car without tears and tobacco all over.
