Just a short note here. I didn't end up renting from this store, but Keith was very proactive and helpful anyway. He apparently saw that the Enterprise Roadside Assistance (ERA) person I had talked to had put them down as where I should go to get a replacement for a rental with mechanical problems. He took the trouble of calling me ten minutes after I got off the phone with ERA to say they didn't have a replacement car for me and that I should really go to the Springfield Town Center store instead (which I did. See my review of them). I just want to say I think that is pretty professional of him. Thanks, Keith, for saving me a trip and the frustration I would have otherwise experienced! Word to the wise, folks: Always call Enterprise Roadside Assistance when you have a problem with one of their rentals. They'll help you get on the right track, and they notify the store you're coming! read more

Dishonest, I Went to this location bc of an insurance claim. Then when I went to return the rental I was blindsided with a $589 bill. This charge was unexpected and, in my view, unjustified based on how the rental was handled by your team. When I arrived at your branch at 7500 Fullerton Road in Springfield Virginia I requested a Toyota Camry that I saw in the lot--a standard vehicle that I knew would fall within the limits of my Geico rental reimbursement. I was told the only Camry belonged to an employee and that no other vehicles were available except a Ford Expedition Max and a mini Cooper (I am 6'5 250lbs by the way). While I didn't object to the SUV itself, I asked multiple times whether my insurance would cover it. I was assured, "they're all the same," which clearly implied there would be no out-of-pocket cost to me. At no point was I informed that I would be personally responsible once my Geico coverage maxed out. There was no communication. I relied on Enterprise's staff to be transparent, and they were not. When I returned to the body shop to retrieve my car, the manager at L&M asked me how I was doing. I expressed my frustration, and he acknowledged that this wasn't the first time he'd seen this happen. He told me, "that Enterprise does this all the time," and cited another customer who had just been charged $110/day for an unintended upgrade... assumably because he had a nice BMW. Clearly, this appears to be a recurring issue at this location. I have tried repeatedly to contact your customer service line with no success. Given the lack of transparency, the misleading responses I was given, and the pattern of this behavior reported by the body shop, I do not recommend this location. read more

Watch for your bank account after you are done with your rental!! A few weeks after I was done my rental, I check my bank account for an unauthorized transaction of $330 from enterprise! I had no idea what that charge was for. When I called the branch I was told that indeed it was from enterprise because I had a pet in the car. I rented the car due to an accident and had to conduct the rental few minutes before store closing. Nooooo one told me pets were not allowed in the car!! They explained some mumbo jumbo that it was in the contract. Was I expected to read a 20 page contract 5 minutes before closing?!! Not a single soul in the store explained that! It's been 3 months and I am being ping ponged between store and customer service fighting this unethical transaction!! read more

on August 10th, 2024 State Farm made a reservation with this location and I was given an Audi SUV without a gas cover in very poorly conditions. The next day, I realized that the registration for the SUV was expired on 12/2023. 8 months with a expired registration! THAT'S not all... it's just the beginning of this night mare. On Sept 19, 2024 Tiana calls me and left me a message saying "Hi this is Tiana calling from enterprise. I'm calling in regards to State Farm. Looks like they are looking for. The body shop information I'm just trying to see where you take Take your vehicle I'm in order for the Insurance to If you can give me a call back with the information at seven 0 3 4 5 5 6 5 2 5 thank you..." pretending to work for State Farm. SHE CLAIMS THAT STATE FARM DOESN'T KNOW IN WHICH BODY SHOP IS MY CAR GETTING WORK DONE. On October 1st, 2024 Tiana calls my body shop once again pretending to work for the insurance company asking if my car is ready?? - My car had to be towed to Alfa Romeo Dealership to get scanned for some codes- she pretended working for insurance company and they told her that yes is ready for pick up... immediately she calls State Farm spoke with a manager and he terminated the car rental on 10-01-24. Same day- Tiana calls me and leaves a message again "delivering messages from State Farm" The State Farm manager that was given wrong information by Tiana went on vacation coming back 10-11-2024. Starting on 10-02-24 to 10-07-24 I been harassed by their employees will call screaming at me "YOU OWE MONEY" When I contacted Tiana to ask her why is that she pretends to work for other company other than enterprise she hang up on me and said that I screamed at her. When I was in front of her I offered to listen to the recorded conversation and she denied to listen. She is very unprofessional and nasty attitude. Austin the second "manager" who was covering for Tiana, after I realized that those two are very unprofessional I asked him not to call me ever again and that I was going to call the 1800 number. Austin kept calling me back over and over........ also sending me emails. I called many time to the 1800 and requested to speak to a higher manager to explain what this employees are doing.... On 10-07-24 Hannah (The District Manager) sent me the most ridiculous and pathetic e-mail-- picture attached. I requested a call from her and when she did I try explaining what was happening and she cut me off and said "don't want to talk about it". After that I email her 3 TIMES requesting information on them 3 employees including herself and the final invoice.... She didn't reply. UNPROFESSIONAL, My email will be attached to this... On Wednesday 10-09-24 at 8:00am they tow the rental car and Mike (new manager) calls me to ask for the keys or will bill you $1,200. I asked why do they towed the car and his response was that I didn't want to pay the balance, that I cussed on of their managers and told them to die and that I send her area manager a threaten email... WHICH NONE OF IT IS A TRUE STATEMENT. I EMAILED HER MANAGER 3 TIMES ASKING FOR LATEST INVOICE. THEY TOWED THE CAR WITH MY WALLET INSIDE AND CASH THAT I HAD INSIDE THE CAR TO PAY TO A CONTRACTOR. ALL OF IT IS GONE. I honestly don't understand how they think they will get away with this when I have every single call recorded and other business backing me up..... read more

I recently rented a Toyota Corolla from this Enterprise location. My car insurance set up the rental, however, pick up was very easy! I was picked up locally and brought to the location. Once I arrived I had to wait maybe 10 minutes for the car to be cleaned and to fill out the paperwork. I'll admit, I always feel uneasy when I pick up a rental car. I had to go through the song and dance of checking the car for scratches, and I always stress that I'm going to be scammed/charged for blemishes that existed before I used the vehicle. Well I'm happy to report that all went well with my rental and I wasn't charged any erroneous fees! Based on my experience, I think this location is trustworthy and I would use them for my future rental needs. read more

I came here based on insurance coverage and wasn't sure what to expect. The staff were extremely friendly, quick, explained my options and benefits clearly, and even helped me make a switch halfway through my rental when I learned my car was running late. Austin and Tiana were the people that helped me. I get my rentals when I travel for my work. This review is specifically for Gilmore and the very kind and knowledgeable staff on site. I had a business trip that popped last minute for the holiday weekend. The reservation was made by my staff and was incorrectly reserved. Not only did the enterprise team work to help fix my reservation information, they worked to get me a vehicle in the most professional, timely and customer oriented manner. Now I have reserved vehicles for many work/business trips and for leisure. I have booked vehicles from enterprise from easily 20-30+ locations nationwide, and I have used just as many competitor locations (Avis, Budget, Dollar Rental, Hertz, etc.). Having said that, the gentleman (Gilmore) that assisted me this past Wednesday, has to be one of the best agents I have ever dealt with. Kindness, consideration, attentiveness, thoroughness, all with a smile. I was honestly blown away with the experience. 5 stars for the overall staff and treatment 5 stars for Gilmore Will be my location of choice going forward! read more

This is a worst rental experience I've ever had. My insurance made a reservation for me to pick up at this location, and while it was understandably busy, the clerk kept assuring me that I'd have my rental car ready. Patiently I waited, handed them my credit card and insurance information for the paperwork. After several more moments of waiting and being reassured, the clerk then tells me my car is no longer available. I'm then offered a ride home, clearly upset that I had been led astray, wasting my time. I shake my head, and they take offense to my reaction. They then get confrontational with me, and decline me service altogether. I had to walk back to my dealer where my vehicle was being worked on. The employee of this establishment showed no empathy, and I cannot recommend this place - ever. read more

The customer service with the lady who helped it a medium service because she left out a very important detail when I was purchasing my rental car since my own car was in the shop with car accident. The lady took my credit card stating that it was just for one time charge if the rental car was damaged. But I returned my rental in full condition, they charged me for a protection plan which I was never ever aware of at all by the lady. This is like the worst experience and now I am sitting here trying to figure this out. It clearly does not make sense it at all to me that they would charge me for a protection plan without telling me. read more

Best service franchise in the area. Cooperative and fast, and they will quickly get whatever you are looking for. I have rented cars from many companies over the years, mostly for business travel, and I can confidently attest that without any doubt, renting car from this location was by far the best car rental experience I have ever had. I strongly recommend this location not only for a good selection of cars but most importantly the friendly and caring people that you will meet there. read more

Problem the worst rental car experience I've ever had. They do not care about anything but your $. No empathy whatsoever. Annie was the absolute worst. She was rude and insensitive. She kept acting like she was the CEO of the company but couldn't even make any decisions without calling her manager. I can't believe she wasted two hours of my time. Funny thing was while I was there for two hours, 5 customers all had complaints. Each different than the other but they all got the unapologetic sorry in response. She couldn't care less. The other two staff members acted like total newbies and were pathetic nonetheless. Never again enterprise. read more

I've been a customer of this Enterprise for about 10 years now and can't say enough good things about them. Friendly service with a smile and they go out of their way to make sure that your experience with them is always positive one. The worst rental experience I've ever had. STAY AWAY. The employees here have no sense of customer service. Switched three cars before finding something safe and comfortable, read below. Nobody welcomes you when you enter here, they treat you like you're doing them a service not vice versa. We came to exchange our current Cadillac rental because there was a issue with the tire. They were short on SUV's so we settled for a car, this is when all the problems began. The first car brought out seemed fine until we sat inside and immediately noticed the strong stench of smoke in the car. Someone was clearly smoking in this car (enterprise cars are supposed to be non-smoking according to policy, but guess that's a farce). We immediately went back in to get another car and the person helping us out, Ivan didn't even apologize for what just happened. He rudely said "let's go look for one that doesn't smell like smoke then". The second car seemed fine until we got on the road and It wouldn't accelerate past thirty while also making a screeching sound. It was so bad that we turned around and went back for a THIRD replacement. Undoubtably, this car should not have been cleared to be able to rent. Are these cars even pre-inspected? Ivan seemed to not believe us when we described our issue with the car, when we asked him "do you want to check it out?" He flat out replied "no, I want to go home". Seriously Enterprise? He has no idea what customer service means, we felt very insulted that he wasn't working to fix our problem and just wanted to go home. The third car was the charm, it wasn't the best but at least didn't smell like smoke and actually was a working car. A simple car swipe took 30 minutes because of incompetent pre-inspections of cars, which can be directly attributed to the employee's lack of concern for people's safety and comfort. Process was unfriendly, complicated, and frustrating! read more

Hey, you know that slogan about "we'll pick you up"? Forget about it. The Enterprise office here WON'T travel to the Franconia Springfield Metro station, only 3 miles away! Recently I was in a bad car accident and totaled my car that I was absolutely in love with. On top of that, I had only been driving it for about a month. Needless to say this was a very stressful and upsetting situation, and I have never had to rent a car before. But my experience couldn't have been any better, thanks to Annie. She gave me the best customer service I've ever had in my life. Any questions I had, any time I needed an extension, or had to switch cars, Annie was right by my side the entire time and helped me to the highest of her ability. So I was on a car accident and came to enterprise with reservation number and finished all payments 550.75$ including the 100$ "hold". My appointment was 2:30pm 06/14/2019 I was there and they said my car was getting cleaned up. It took them until 3:20pm and supposedly they still didn't have a car for me. After they made their calls they came up with one vehicle and when we went inside the car it's smelled like pets and you could see pet hair. So they went looking for another car. May customers have come and passed. So at 3:29pm I said do you have a car or not they still couldn't come up with a vehicle for me so I decided to leave, sense they won't available to get me a car. Then they said " ok you don't have to do anything your ready to go we've voided the thicket" not caring about customers is really not appreciated I understand they get busy I run a business myself but even saying we're very sorry about the hold up we will get you a vehicle right away would at least so some care. I didn't feel welcome at all so I left and I was injured from an accident when they said this. All these cars they have but none for me. read more

I have used this Enterprise location twice in four years, both times paid for by auto insurance of people who damaged my car beyond driveability. They quickly and easily handled it, picked me up and brought me to the location and had me in a car quite quickly. I'm always on my guard with rental companies about being stuck for any damage, but they never gave me any problems. Everyone on the staff is friendly and competent. Absolutely no complaints whatsoever. I'd happily rent a car, through them whenever I need one. read more

3 yrs later June 2021 and Enterprise still lacks customer service. Told them clearly type of car I need due to having to park in small spaces insist on giving me bigger cars. Even though i pointed out 3 cars i could use and answer was they are dirty. Yet they were willing to clean a car I told them I did not want until i got angry they brought me another one from their other lot . The car is uncomfortable out of alignment and goes off to the right when breaking. I had a terrible experience with enterprise. They misinformed me about being able to cover a small cosmetic issue out of pocket instead of getting my insurance involved. Two words. Disorganized chaos. A majority of the staff is very young and inexperienced. There were several instances in which they simply were not experienced enough to deal with problem customers. Enterprise trick me into purchasing an insurance coverage I did not need and they did not return my calls.

Overall I found the experience annoying and frustrating. I was getting a car because of some bodywork on my car. They called and left me a voicemail about arranging car. I called back, no one knew what I was talking about. Person on the phone gave me no confidence that they understood what was going on. After I got off the phone, two more people called me, both not being able to see what I had previous setup with the first person on the phone. When I showed up the bodyshop and dropped off the car, I walked over to the on site Enterprise office and waited for 20m for someone to show up. They are supposed to have someone there 8am to 12pm on that day. I walked back over to the main office and they had to call Enterprise. "Someone" was supposed to let them know that they were running the office remotetly and running a shuttle. I was by the receptionist when she called and could tell she was pissed, seems like not an uncommon occurence. So I waited for the car to come pick me up. When I get there, the process goes fairly normal. Except they stuck me in a crap car. I asked if they had anything else, they said no. But then spent like 15mins trying to upsell me on the Mini Cooper or the Camaro, I just had to spent X more dollars per day, etc. Annoying, but not unexpected I guess. I just wish after all the crap, I hadn't had to deal with that too. When I returned the car, I signed the car back in, and rated them a 5/10. Then the dude from Enterprise who was actually there this time, came and wanted to talk to me. What followed was an ackward conversation about everything that went wrong, while other business patrons listened in, one that I would have avoided if he hadn't pushed me into it. I woulda left it there, but then they frigging emailed me asking me write a review, so here ya go guys, just what you asked for. read more

If you are considering renting a car with Enterprise, precisely the 7500 Fullerton Rd location, be careful as these are some dishonest people. Upon picking up the car, trash had been left under the seats probably from the previous customer, but Enterprise couldn't bother to clean it out before allowing me rent it.They also couldn't bother to pump the tires as they gave me a car with the low tire pressure light ON. I drove the car, upon returning the car they accused me of causing a very minor dent to driver side door. I am 120% sure that I did NOT cause the minor damage to the car. First time renting, It was not brought to my attention that every customer should photograph the car for damages before driving off the lot, just in case the rental company tried to wrongly accuse you of damage to the car that was there prior to when you drove it.Hope that this review will save someone from being a part of the same scam. read more
