DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY. I don't write reviews, so use this as a good guide. I rented from…read morethis company, specifically this location in October 2022. I reached out to corporate about this issue and was ignored, so I want to warn any future customers.
When I rented the managers special which should have been a small car, I was given a grand caravan. Not a big deal at the time, but then while on a day trip to Vermont, USA, my tire randomly blew up at 11;20pm! There was no spare tire, or even a donut tire. And to make it worse, even if there was a spare tire, there was no jack to be able to change the tire. After now dealing with that in the dense forest of Vermont, on the interstate highway, when I called the road side assistance, the worker was very unprofessional. They told me to call an uber or taxi.. but I'm on the side of the road, which doesn't give an exact address to be picked up at, so I was left stranded. I was told by the emergency road side assistance worker that "If I don't get to the airport location before midnight, I would be screwed" in terms of getting back to Canada that night. I was advised to call a ride, however that would happen since I was on the side of a highway and have no pickup location, and leave the vehicle on the side of the road for when the tow truck gets it. I asked very kindly if the rental location at the airport could stay open for a few minutes past midnight to give me time to get there, and was told no, and that I would have to rush there.
After arriving at the airport location (driving on the rim of the flat tire, since I needed to get there and no ride share company, taxi or uber, would get me), the worker was incredibly rude, and even began to deny me a new rental because I was going to Canada, even though on the phone I was told a new rental would be ready for me at the Burlington Vermont airport location. After a few minutes of begging the counter worker to give me a rental to get home, he finally did, but it took a lot of convincing.
Now with the new rental, I go to return it to the original rental location (Montreal Decarie location), they told me to bring my rental to the airport location. I at the time had a full tank for the proper drop off location, but now I was told to go to another location, which I had no time to fill the little bit of fuel used to get there, and was charged $25 in fuel charges.
I tried reaching out to corporate, but was basically told I would be given no help. Quiet sad such a big company would treat there customers like this when they have issues with their products, and offer little to no help. Sad.
