I needed to be picked up to get the rental car. They were late, I was waiting outside. Then this car that was at my neighbors mailbox, honked at me. I asked if he was with enterprise and replied yea. He didn't even pull into my driveway or to my house. Completely unprofessional, then I got into the car that had all the windows down and the passenger seat reclined all the way back. I could smell that the employee just smoked weed, which I'm assuming is why all the windows were down. The employee drove recklessly back to enterprise. Where they tried to give me the same car as a rental. When there are clearly marked signs that say NO SMOKING IN VEHICLES. The other employee proceeded to the vehicle and confirmed the smell. I had to wait an additional hour for a rental vehicle. To each their own but you absolutely should not be sending impaired employees to pickup customers. I'm honestly shocked he didn't get us in an accident, he was messing with his phone and touch screen the entire time and was driving recklessly. I honestly don't know how he even has a license. Made a reservation and when I got to the place was told the people at the call center have no clue what's going on. That's after I sat there for 40 minutes cause it was assumed I was with another customer. I then called the call center back and told them what happened. I was put on hold while she checked to see if another place had a vehicle for me. Was promised that place had a car for me. I drove over a half hour to get there to be told again that the call center says anything and they don't have a car for me. Would've rather just been told there was no cars available instead of driving around to two different places that took a couple of hours to be lied to. read more

Worst service cars suck and reservations don't matter at all

I had some work being done to my vehicle and was pointed in the direction of Enterprise. I was expecting to have a rental for 3 days maximum, but ended up needing one for 3 weeks. First vehicle was a 2019 Ford Mustang. I'm a family man, and it was damn near impossible to get them all in the car, but what a ride! Eventually, knowing that Nissan of Norwich (who sucks) wasn't going to be done with the repairs to my truck any time soon, I called Enterprise to see if I could switch vehicles. Without hesitation, they accommodated me with a 2018 Ford F-150. When the repairs were finally done, I wasn't able to bring the truck back. Instead, they insisted they come pick it up for me. In about 10 minutes, 2 awesome employees came and picked up the truck, asked how everything worked out, and told me they'd call if there was any issues. Their customer service is top notch and I would recommend using them to anyone. Thanks again! read more

Be careful driving in and out - for a rental place they really did not build the driveway to avoid busting your muffler pipe or hitting a car as you take a hard turn out. And I had very slow service (waited 30 mins) despite calling 10 mins away and asking if my car was ready. read more

I don't rent cars regularly. I think the last time was 20 years ago. These guys made it real easy. I even had to extend the amount of time we need the vehicle and they had no issues. The one thing you need to keep on eye on is the parking lot, it can be a little tough to get into. read more

My insurance company set me up with a rental through Enterprise in Norwich while my car was in the shop. The entire process from start to finish was great! Before I was even off the phone with the insurance company, Enterprise had left me a voicemail to let me know that they received my info and let me know who to call back to confirm. My car wasn't driveable so they picked me up, and within minutes they showed me 3 rental options to choose from, and set me up with a practically new and VERY clean/sanitized SUV. I ended up having to extend the rental longer than anticipated, and each time it was extended, they were totally on the ball and arranged everything smoothly and seamlessly with the insurance co, and kept me in the loop the whole time. Everyone I spoke with was super professional and helpful and pleasant, and they all definitely helped to make a very stressful situation, much, much less stressful. Do not drop off a car here. Dropped off a car, it was examined by employee and no damage. Later received a bill for $1400.00 and photos showing damage. I contacted the office and was told the fog light fell off after I dropped it off, when it was driven by employee. Told it was my responsibility because I must have caused it to be loose. First I will state that the assistant manager Connor at the Norwich, CT location did his best efforts to provide good customer service but an associate ismael mislead and misinformed me of my rental extension and I was ultimately blindsided, not refunded of my security deposit and sent on my way. This location used to be wonderful until they started changing up their staff. I used to rent from this location on a weekly basis and on my last rental, we wanted to return it a day early. Called their modify reservation hotline and was told that I could drop it off early the following day and did not need to modify the reservation since there are cameras and detectors in the key drop box to verify the time I dropped the car off. Assured, I dropped the car off the following day with their after hours drop off. I was charge for the day I did not use and so I called to follow up. They basically called me a liar by saying everything the person on the phone told me wasn't true and that they would need to verify by pulling a record of the call. Fine. Weeks later still no follow up. I physically went to the location (mind you I live in New York) and again they told me they are waiting to pull the phone records, which takes time. Fine. Now a month later I call to follow up again (why am I following up? I'm the customer right?), and the person on the phone says they are standing by their policy and I should be charged for the extra day. I am the customer. I'm not responsible for training YOUR employees to make sure they all know YOUR policies and procedures. The fact that the man on the phone said one thing and the office said another should not be the customers problem. I'm sure no phone record was even pulled to begin with because if it was, they would have heard loud and clear what the representative told me their policy was. Enterprise in Norwich clearly is not a place of business. There is a lack of customer service and they do not know how to conduct themselves with customers. I had my vehicle serviced at a dealership in Norwich. They arrived within 5 minutes of dropping my car off and I didn't even have a reservation. I was out the door in a rental within 30 minutes. It was extremely busy but the employees were upbeat and busting there humps to please everyone. (Including a very rude customer that was making a scene) I'm impressed with this enterprise location and would definitely return. read more

Got into a car accident where my car was totaled and the other drivers insurance company automatically set me up with a reservation with enterprise of Norwich and told me I could get a car from them that day. I called up enterprise and they informed me that they could pick me up but no car was available that day but maybe the following day but they were only open for four hours. That was unfortunately inconvenient for me as I had to be somewhere all day and couldn't take the time away from very important medical appointment. I asked about two days out but they are closed on Sunday. Ok. I guess I'll have to call back Monday, so hold a reservation for me that day since our hours and your cars aren't matching up and that day I'm free. Sure Jim says, Just call back. Today, Monday, I called back and got Steve. Steve was condescending and rude from the start. He asked me questions like he was setting up a new reservation but because they were previously answered by the insurance company's request and my conversation with Jim on three prior occasions they were not pertinent, so I informed him that it's not a new reservation but one that I had for several days and should be in the computer. Steve informed me that he would then need my reservation number to look up my reservation information. I told him that because this was set up automatically from the insurance company, I didn't have one but that Jim found me by asking me my name. Which Steve had not done. He got completely confrontational after I said this and told me I didn't need to be so rude and that he couldn't possibly look anything up unless he had that number,Mrs. R....., MY NAME. So, then he realized his mistake and suddenly found my reservation but no car till this afternoon. Ok. I take it and then I asked if they could pick me up?! "you want us to pick you up?" Ummmm yes?! (it's actually enterprises tag line so I assumed that was part of the renting process since I no longer have a car and that was why I need to rent from you through a insurance claim anyway?! ) Steve then said they couldn't because I was out of their drive "zone". So I asked if Jim had lied to me, steve then immediately changed his answer to a belligerent ok but I would have to wait till they we're not busy, two hours or so after the quoted time my car would be available. I said forget about it and that I will go somewhere else since they don't care about taking care of their customers or being able to provide cars and service like they are suppose to do. They have no customer service and completely give their customers the run around with rudeness and lies. I guess it's because it's an insurance claim and they don't want to deal with people like us but I have been without a car for four days and understand that they could be out of cars once in a while but when they have no cars for days on end and then complain/lie about doing what their commercials boast about, I say nobody should ever use this location ever again. read more

They set the rental up with Enterprise Rent-a-Car out of Norwich, Connecticut. I called to confirm the reservation with my claim# 0001340315 and was advised that indeed they have my reservation. A Company representative named Jim confirmed and stated that all he needs is a deposit in the amount of $100.00, and that it has to be a credit card in my name, not my husbands, nor cash. I then advised Jim I will have to call back as I do not have a credit card in my name. I then called American Commerce to discuss a solution and they quickly advised me that Enterprise is under a contract with them to charge deposits for insurance claims of $50.00. Alarmed by this newly discovered information, I drove to the Norwich Connecticut office and asked to speak to a Manager. I WAS INTRODUCED TO JOY FIASCONARTISTO. I shared my experience with her, advising her that both American Commerce and another Manager from Enterprise Reservations, Jazel & Vanessa, confirmed that my deposit through American Commerce is in-fact only $50.00. Joy Fiasconartisto stated that she signs all contracts and that this is false information ( basically calling her co-workers and the insurance carrier liars). I asked her to provide the aforesaid contract since she is the only representative whom signs their contracts ( her exact words). She became bewildered and grabbed a small 8 1/2 x 11 sign that states they charge $100.00, but this powerful associate whom claims to sign ALL CONTRACTS could not produce the aforesaid contract..... just her personal store policy. This experience leaves me no trust, confidence or integrity in Enterprise. Joy Fiasconartisto had the opportunity to own the errors. She chose to be dishonest. I called American Commerce and had them reserve me a vehicle with a different company. read more

I rent here a lot for work travel and everyone is generally nice and polite. However, a couple of cars I've rented were not cleaned thoroughly inside...and I mean like legit food left inside the armrest console. Today, I made a return from the airport and was told they couldn't access the rental because the airport was on a different system...so he expected me to just leave the car with no receipt and no proof that I had dropped it off on time with no damage and in working order. Unfortunately, I was the one who had to suggest calling the airport location to confirm the return...at any rate the airport location is emailing me the receipt. I just wish they would have taken the initiative themselves to make sure I had what I needed to leave the car with peace of mind. Is customer service a lost art? read more

I have been renting cars from Enterprise for 2 years now every week but this week I chose a different location(norwich) .well my experience is I had an extra 100 dollars taken out and can not have access to my own money.I guess I will have to wait until the weekend is over to enjoy my weekend:)I called on Saturday and a nice gentleman answered and said he would a just it for me but here it it Sunday and my money is not in my account.
