One of the best things about Enterprise is that it is local to where I live. I didn't have to deal with the traffic to get to SJC. The only issue is that this location closes at 6pm. This place sucks! That's the most eloquent way to put it! First, they have ZERO common sense on dealing with customers, you are at the counter and you "think" they are helping you but if someone walks in the door, they stop helping you and start helping the person who just walked in the door, WTF?!? They think nothing of wasting your time & are so inconsiderate! If that wasn't bad though, then the other worker dude walks in the door & starts asking questions of Gabriel, who was supposedly helping me, so there he goes again off doing something else while I'm still waiting & so is the guy who came in who is also waiting. Second time I left without renting, won't be back again. Today I was treated like a criminal, due to problems they've had with people returning cars with damage on days they are closed - Gabriel Roman "rental management assistant" explained to me they now ask for your insurance information because of other customers causing damage to cars, returning the car when they are closed, then not taking the calls from Enterprise. So basically he's accusing me in advance while I not only have a very solid and positive rental history with this location (last time I rented a vehicle for a month and then purchased a vehicle from Enterprise!) but I'm still treated like a criminal. What a way to treat a dedicated customer! They tried repeatedly to upsell me, I really only needed a small compact car for one day but because that was not available Salvador Iniguez "rental management trainee" offered me a Honda Odyssey "for the same price". I was all set to rent it then Gabriel kept trying to run my credit card for enormous amounts of money. Because I've rented there in the past (and this did not happen) I just brought one credit card with a lower limit, nobody told me they were going to ask for a huge deposit. Now it makes sense, upsell on the car, charge enormous "deposit". Why didn't they tell me this in advance? So now for a second time I'm left without the rental car I needed. They suck!!!! Enterprise proceeded to file a claim with my insurance and then sent threatening emails to me. I was just in a huge car accident, had to buy a replacement car and now I have to pay extortion money to Enterprise. I asked if I could make payments and was ignored, then the threats started. You know I have been coming out here to this branch since it was in between Shoreline and El Monte on El Camino. They moved to this S Mountain View location near Sunnyvale a couple of years ago. I must say, I have always had a great experience with them. They are always friendly and helpful, no matter when you catch them. This past weekend I needed to rent once again. I am usually here about every 3 months or so. Again they just made it so nice and quick and outstanding in service. Doesn't honor reservations. Reserved a "line of car" with enterprise (as dictated by insurance) as a comparable replacement while my car is in repair. Showed up only to find that the line of car reserved was not available on a confirmed reservation. I declined a downgrade offer. The employee promised that another car of the same grade will be in stock the next day. Called the business the next day and was told that enterprise will not have this "line of car" in stock for a while. Claimants beware this is what you are dealing with walking in. Claimant reservations are de-prioritized as an enterprise policy. The mal-incentive here to coerce a downgrade is rampant. I now have to renegotiate with insurance on the loss-of-use daily cash comp rate for days we go without a car. What a waste of time for all parties involved. read more

The entire staff is so pleasant to work with! I didn't catch everyone's names but shout out to Susan and Don. I booked an Enterprise car for a week because I've had good experiences with Enterprise in the past and I had a corporate discount code. I love that they do free pick-up & drop-off within 4 miles of the location. For pickup, all you have to do is call the morning of and let them know what time window you want to be picked up. Such a great courtesy service; saves me an Uber ride or a painful 1 hour walk there! Don was my driver for pick up and for drop off; he is a great conversationalist! Susan was very helpful - I called two times with questions before getting my car at the location. I picked up a car Friday around 1pm. There was only one person in front of me in line. Due to COVID, only 1 person can be in the office at a time so I waited patiently outside. There were line markers 6 feet apart, which I appreciated. I waited a bit less than 15 minutes until Susan was able to help me. There weren't any compact cars that I reserved available in the lot so I got a free upgrade to a car in a higher bracket. I love free upgrades!!! We circled the car to make sure there wasn't any damage and I was on my way. The car was very clean on the inside and they even provided an extra Clorox wipe so I could ensure my safety. I loved my car! I loved it so much I needed to extend my rental. I was put on hold for a bit when I called but I was able to extend my rental another day. Unfortunately on Saturdays they close at 12pm and they are not open Sunday, so I had to pay all the way until Monday since I missed the Saturday 12pm cutoff. Oh well, I had a great experience regardless. Returning the car Monday was very hectic, because there were SO MANY people there in the morning. Luckily it calmed down in a bit and I was on my way. There were like 5+ people in line before me, so I had to wait a bit until my turn but my turn was super quick and then I got my free ride home. The two times I went in (to pick up and return my rental), this place seemed severely understaffed, and the staff was not prepared to deal with the queue. Despite getting there first, I watched 3 other customers come in after me and leave with their cars before I did. One employee told me that it was because I didn't have an appointment, and didn't believe me when I told her that I did. When her colleague returned from helping another customer, they confirmed to her that I did indeed have an appointment and was already in their system. I had a horrible experience with Jesus at the Mountain View location. He refused to help a client, stating they needed a reservation number from the insurance claim. The claim had already authorized a rental car and Jesus refused to contact claims or reserve a car for the client. The reservation number was NOT needed in advance. African Americans be aware of discrimination happening here. They will overtly threaten and oppress you saying you better bring the car back as it left and if you don't fill it up, you'll be charged extra. I had a great experience working with Susan at Enterprise. We had a negative experience at another Enterprise location, and wanted to go with Hertz for our rental, however, there were no cars available in the surrounding area. We gave Enterprise Mountain View a call in hopes of finding a car and that our experience would be different, because I needed a car to get to my doctor's appointment the next day. Susan answered the phone and she was great! The calls were answered within a few seconds on the phone each time. She was very friendly and knowledgeable. For our surprise a lot of people rent cars at Enterprise Palo Alto on weekends and we had to take a quick Uber to Mountain View to pick up our ride. We did the entire process online, and according to their website the shop opened at 7am on Sundays. Thankfully we were too lazy to wake up that early and only arrived at 9am, which was actually quite our luck because they only open at 9am Sundays, and the website was incorrect. We were kindly received by the staff, who showed us our car and actually gave us an upgrade because the one we rented was not available. They were more than accommodating when I asked for a similar sized vehicle as mine. They did not have a can available, but they called another nearby location and asked them to save one for me. They drove me to that location. Unfortunately the van had a small gash in the tire and they did not feel it was safe for me. I'm so glad they do a thorough check as vehicles get dropped off. I rented an SUV online and when I came in and inquired about getting the most cargo space for a camping trip, Laura was able to offer me a full-size SUV at a very reasonable upgrade price. It was a no-brainer to upgrade for the weekend. Driving the 2017 Ford Expedition really made my camping trip easy and comfortable. Then, I rented a Hyundai Sonata. Didn't like the car as much, but again I got an upgrade from the online quote and this time it was for free. They were relaxed with the check-in time when I called ahead, too. If it's possible, I'll give them zero star. They are scam! Pay attention anyone! Don't go there unless you like being cheated and pay for ten times than the advertised price. Their strategy is to attract people by their low price and make dirty tricks to let you pay more. Here's my story. It happened on 2013 march. I rented a car from them without buying any insurances other than the liability. They gave me a super old car and it's a pain to drive. When I return, there's a tiny scratch on the bumper. Some one may had scrapped it when I parked, or it may have been there when they give it to me since it's hard to find unless you are looking for it. They charged me 500 dollars for the small scratches while they admit the whole car won't worth more than 2000. They promise to refund me extra money but never did. Because I have to return to China until 2015 Oct. I can't confront them in person. They just ignored all my emails. So do yourself a favor and stay away from them. read more

Again, I had the worst customer service at this branch. All because you guys rented the car to me after giving me the worst service doesn't mean your work was quality. I rent frequently from Enterprise but today had me thinking again not to return. Last week I booked a rental to travel to visit family down south for the holiday. The manager onsite named Junior, (had no name tag to properly address him) was assisting me. I was told by the manager at this office, Don Ronalter the last time I rented that he will keep my paper work (cable and phone bill) on my file so I won't have to bring that in when I rent cars from them. He did not make me aware that after a few months, that information is shredded. With this being said, I did not bring in bills showing I still reside at my residence. I asked if he can contact Don to straighten this out and he refused to because he was on vacation. This manager named Junior said that he was not going to rent me a car and made me very upset. First off, as a manager , He should know that you should not tell an upset customer ON CHRISTMAS EVE that you are not going to rent them a car. I don't know if this so called manager named Junior (named after a status or rank) have had the proper training, or have the personality to deal with customers that are not satisfied with their service and to find a resolution that makes the customer happy and perhaps have them return in the future. Junior did not display the character of a manager, more like a fucking cry baby bitch. It being Christmas eve and he not showing the quality management that Enterprise should show returning customers, He did not understand the sense of urgency or show any compassion to the situation again this guy is a bitch. He took me outside, started to tell me about his feeling and telling me how I came in, yelling at him.....stfu bitch. you are a manager and should have been trained on handling situation like this, that could of been avoided if I was made aware to bring in the bills showing my residence. But no, he took the low road. He tried to handle this situation with an unskilled approach that make me wonder the quality of training management receives at this branch. WTF is wrong with this branch?!? The only staff member that showed some kind of quality management material was John, regardless of how upset that Junior manager made me by making that comment that "he is not going to rent a car to me" in front of ALL the customers. John apologized on his behalf and actually went out of his way to satisfy his customer. and he was only a managerial trainee. That current manager Junior should observe the way John handles situations like this. He is more equipped to deal with escalated issue, because you lack the quality of management that you should have being at Enterprise. Being an employee at Google and have been recommending Enterprise to co workers that travel to and from Mountain view from all over the world, . I will not recommend Enterprise and will have the name removed from any travel Itinerary to any co workers visiting California. I've always recommended Enterprise to all my friends, family and coworkers because of the deals they give the public. But quality customer service shouldn't be compromised in order to get a deal. After putting me through an embarrassing scenario, almost teasing me that I won't be able to rent a car and visit family members they rented the car to me anyways. WTF does that tell you?? The sad part about it, this is the 2nd time I've had bad service at this branch. WTF is wrong with me coming back here?! If I could, I wouldn't even give this branch a star because service was to poor to mention. The only reason myself and i'm sure many others rent from Enterprise, is the $9.99 weekend specials, absolutely not the quality of service. They suck in my opinion.
